Sin sighed as Issildia gave him a venomus glare and continued to move on there way.

"I know... but getting all worried or psyched out about it isn't going to help... I'm trying to stay upbeat here... which one would you rather have, Sin that's all sad and depressive... or Sin whos happy and cheeful..."

after a moment of thought and a glance at Issildia Sin added.

"umm... nevermind..."

Archer fell like a stone, into the debris and broken bodies in the same spot he had been levitating before, and lay unconscious in a cty street, blood flowing from his many wounds.

Upon th hill, Kuchane shifted uneasily. "Sir"
Zeo cut him off before he could even say otherwise. "Now, we enter upon this city. We must ensure we at least appear to help with these weaklings."

~The mysterious presence that haunted the village of Ala'ana continued on his path as the remaining Yakayu now steered clear of his path. This was not because of his previous display of power, no. This was simply because their master had ordered them remain tranquil. The coldness of the air had increased, as this man continued on his path. After a while, he stopped, sensing a familiar presence to his rear. He slowly placed a hand on his blade, and turned to face his stalker, only to find nothing. After a moment, he suddenly made a backwards flip to the rear in attempt to avoid a surprise attack, from above. His stalker's blade inpacted with the ground, but not before drawing the blood of his prey. The man looked up at him, his cheek bleeding from the attack and sheathed his blade once again. He stood normally, as the wound slowly healed, and watched as his attacker sheathed his own blade. Their two auras, both of them unique and similar all at once, clashed with one another as their stand off began.~

It is so nice to see you, Comrade.

Azrielle Tatsumaru. I see you have taken a liking to your new found abilities. stare The trenchcoat suits you well.

I'm pleased you approve, although it means nothing in the end.

We shall see...Brother.

~Malkaia suddenly charged toward Azrielle, readying himself for attack. Azrielle in turn stood normally, as Malkaia raised his fist to strike. Azrielle only dodged the first, attack and countered by raising his knee towards Malkaia's abdomen, which in turn was avoided by Malkaia dropping his elbow, twisting himself in turn to reach for one of his knives. As he kept his spin, he slashed at Azrielle who in turn evaded the attack by leaning backwards, his spine becoming parallel to the earth beneath him. He then dropped his hand to the ground, and extended his legs, spinning, in attemtp to trip Malkaia. Unfortunately, Malkaia's reflexes were up to par with his own. He leapt backwards, performing a somersault in the process and faced him once again, the blade still in his hand.~

You have indeed improved. Is it a result of your infection?

Infection? Do not be so simple Malkaia. The Dailontra are slaves to my will. I have taken complete control.

So you are nearing the final stages of the transformation...Impressive.

twisted Hmph.

~Azrielle had decided to take the offensive of this next round as his body vanished from sight. He seemed to be moving with the wind as he reappeared right in front of Malkaia, raising his elbow into his jaw, causing him to stumble backwards a bit. As he regained his composure, Malkaia could clearly feel the power within Azrielle growing far beyond what he had imagined. Even as they fought, his power continued to rise. Leaping into the air to aviod his next attack, Malkaia hurled the knife in his hand down towards Azrielle, who miraculously, could not avoid it. The knife impacted with his shoulder, sinking deep into his skin. As Malkaia landed, Azrielle stood normally, and pulled the blade from where it had found itself in his flesh. He then tossed the knife to the side, and their conversation continued.~

Enough games Malkaia. Why have you come here?

I have come for Sylph.

Is that a request from your master?

No. This is my own decision.

Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I have other plans for that creature.

What plans? stare

That is none of your concern.

I have not any time for your games Azrielle. What are you planning to do with her?

The answer to your question.... evil Comes with a price.

~Azrielle slowly unsheathes his blade as he prepares for yet another assault. His voice had grown far darker than it had been previously heard. In fact, it was almost identical to that of Malkaia as he took up his stance. Up until this point the two of them had been fighting at the same level, but their next set of attacks would prove who was the stronger of the two. Malkaia's eys and flashed a bright orange, as two blood stained wings spread from his back. He then drew his own blade as he prepared for Azrielle's attack. The two of them, both their wings spread as the air grew colder. The flash of lighning had begun to illuminate the area as their aura grew stronger. Both of their faces changing to express an emotion equal to nothingness as Azrielle suddenly charged into battle.~

Two minutes elapsed from the times Niobe sent the guard for the items. Niobe stood firmly in the doorway, not moving a muscle. The clunking of feet could be heard all along the hallway as the guard returned, out of breath and clutching the items with one hand.

"Here...you are...Milady."

The guard heaved as he spoke, violently gasping for air and extending the hand containing the leash and map. Niobe stared at him cooly and collected the items. The chain leash was eight feet long and had an iron, hinged circle at the end which could be secured by a little clasp. The map was terribly faded and Niobe could barely make out the locations displayed on it. She backhanded the guard.

"Useless swine. Get out of my sight."

He scrambled away and Niobe was left there at the door. She turned around, thought about calling Sylph over, but then realized there's no way the girl would've come. Going over to the bed once more, Niobe unhooked the iron collar.

"We can do this the easy way, or we can do it my way."

Sylph stood up immediately and Niobe put on the collar. With it secure, Niobe wrapped the end of the chain around her left hand and peeped at the map in her right hand.

"Hm. Baledon Sukiyo. Forest of a Thousand Souls. So be it."

Niobe pulled on the collar and began walking out the room.

"It would be in your best interest to follow me. I am not the only creature who wants you dead."

((By the way, Demitri is actually a real name of a character who died, but never mind.))

Streak picked himself up and, once again, began to hobble. At least now he'd had some water he felt better. He was dreading meeting Reinsen again. Could he withstand Reinsen's words again. Streak really hoped that someone or something would intervene. Streak began to follow Grevious.

((I know, but either way it doen't matter too much, I figure that I'll only call you Demitri when grevious is talking, in order to keep the confusion down a bit...))

Grevious made his way thought the forest towards the north. It was slow going becouse he needed to constantly keep an eye on his prisioner. Soon he knew that he had to stop for the night to allow him to rest and re-gain a bit more of his strength.

"Alright... we can stop here for the night..."

Grevious stopped walking in a small clearing and looked around. after inspecting the area he nodded and leaned agest a tree looking at Streak.

"I suggest you get some rest soon..."

Issildia ignored his last statement and spoke, "If your range of emotion contains merely two states...then we have more than one problem to worry with." she remarked sarcastically.

"You ignore the gravity of a situation by expanding upon the barest sense of humor that you can contrive...it is a common defense mechanism...often associated with fear or guilt, though I have been wrong before..."

~As their battle raged on, the Yakayu in the area had begun to take shelter as Malkaia's heat collided with Azrielle's frost. The wind had grown extremely violet as these two twin warriors would not let up. They took to the skies, their blades triggerring several flashes of lightning which in turn struck out at the village. With every blow that landed, the lightning grew more intense. They seemed evenly matched, but for some reason, Azrielle's power continued to grow. This disturbed Malkaia greatly. He should have been loosing strength throughout the battle, but this particular situation was quite the opposite. As of yet, he could not find an explanation to this phenomenon. During his confusion, he failed to counter Azrielle's attack and found his flesh the victim of Mugetsu's sting.

His abdomen had been pierced deeply by Azrielle's blade, and he was now being driven backwards. Malkaia was forced to release his own blade as he reached for Azrielle's. It was not long before Malkaia made contacte dwith the wall, and Azrielle's blade was driven even deeper into his flesh. He was impaled and now hanging from the wall of the very structure that Azrielle had used to house a captured Sylph. It was then that Azrielle released his blade and flapped his wongs slowly, hoverring right in front of Malkaia. Once Malkaia attempted to remove Muegtsu from his body, a surge of black lightning had begun to pass through his body. His initial scream causing the withered plantlife below to burst into flames.~

As long as you're hanging there, listen very carefully, Brother. You may be elder to me, but you have absolutely no idea how vital Sylph is to that man's cause. She alone knows the location of the heir to his throne, and it is she that will restore the power of the Chroma to my body. You have a choice to make. You can aid me, and recieve the same gift, or you can defy me and prepare to meet the lord of the dead himself. It is your choice.

You fool. stressed You have...no Idea what....she will do to you. Akilah cannot...be controlled...her power will....destroy the...both of us.....

Perhaps, but I have more than one way to persuade her. twisted I will give you some time to think about what I have told you. I trust you will not disappoint me.

~With that, Azrielle ripped his blade out of Malkaia, letting his body drift back down to the earth below. Azrielle then disbused into shadow as Malkaia got to his feet, and retrieved his blade. The Yakayu had begun to move in on his position, but he only needed glare at the few in his path before their bodies were engulfed in crimson flames. He sheathed his blade, and calmly walked towards the entrance to the village as he began to think about Azrielle's actions. It was clear that he did not know the true nature of the Takinowa's power. She is the daughter of the Angellos Arcanus, and she would not be too pleased to see him.~

The main door on the first floor burst open and Niobe popped out, Sylph trotting helplessly behind her on the leash. Niobe stopped, sniffed, and cringed.

I smell undead lurking around

Her free hand unhooked the whip on her side.

"Come, the longer we stand here, the more will be drawn to this spot."

Niobe cracked the whip at four undead who had already attemted to seize this free meal. She walked forward while Sylph, although terrified by Niobe, was moreso frightened by the sheer numbers of these creatures. Any other time, that would have been a stupid mistake. Niobe led the way swinging and lashing with her whip, creating a pathway of severed limbs and decapitated heads. She moved steadily until a bit of lightening caught Niobe's eye. She disregarded it and kept moving.

For now they are only attacking her, but that will change once we enter the forest. I will have to watch her more closely there, those undead will be far more persistent. We will have to move fast. If it were just me, I could've taken the trees....

Niobe wiped the splatters of blood off her face and glaced back to make sure Sylph was close. No problem there, the girl was practically trying to scale her back. Turning her gaze forward again, Niobe continued on their long journey.

((Jesus, I have no idea what I'm going to write. This must be writer's block.))
Before Grevious even finished his sentence, Streak had already fallen asleep. During his sleep he cried out a few times. Sometimes he shouted 'Issildia' or 'Morier'. All random to the ear of someone not knowing who these people were. His sleep was very disturbed. Eventually he woke. He felt like he had a hangover, but at least his pain had numbed. He grabbed his water bottle and took a drink. He then sat there and waited for what Grevious had to say next.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 13, 2006 4:21 pm

Grevious stood over Streak as he woke up and was looking down at him while he took a drink of water. Once Streak was done drinking and looked up at him, he brought his hand down, in a broad sweeping motion, and grabbed Streak by the shirt and lifted him up slamming him into a tree. That done his hand slowly encased itself in ice again and this time the ice moved slowly over his shirt while Grevious held Streak to the tree.

"I was woken up in the middle of the night by your shouts in your sleep... but that is not why you are now being pinned to this tree..."

Grevious looked up at him with eyes that had completely turned a dark blue and the ice on his hand continued to spread over streaks shirt slowly.

"Now... I'm not one for interrogation... but a few of those names you shouted out caught my attention... mainly Issildia... now tell me, WITHOUT lying, everything you know about her..."

As he spoke the air around them began to get colder and you could easily see Grevious's breath on the air.

((hope you don't mind the auto hit again sweatdrop ))

((Hit me as much as you like. Streak's not going to fight back, yet. As long as you don't kill him. I'll even let you knock him unconcious if you want xp ))

Streak was surprised by this sudden movement. He had not expected it. He wasn't sure what had happened or while he'd been thrown until Grevious spoke, asking him of Issildia. Streak wasn't sure what to say. He wasn't sure what to tell him or what not to. He eventually decided he'd have to lie, but he wasn't sure if Grevious would know.
"I met her for the first time at the fall of Anier. She was my commander and I saw her die, or at least I think I did. I cried out her name, but got no reply. When I finally got over there she was gone. I guess that her corpse was dragged away by the fight." Streak finished. A tiny bead of sweat came down his face.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 14, 2006 7:16 am

((no fear, just checking about the auto hits))

The ice slowly advanced over his chest and the air got even colder, as the bead of sweat began to freeze to Streaks face. With a sudden whipping motion Grevous tossed Streak across the clearing and watched as he hit the ground and rolled a ways. Walking over he stood over him and kneeled in front of him.

"wrong answer..."

With another sudden motion he brought his, ice covered, fist across Streaks head and knocked him out.

"Ok Reinsen I think you'll appreciate this gift..."

((ok I'm going to pull a time skip to get us to Reinsen's location in my next post, if you don't want to just say so...))

Sin looked away as Issildia told him her theory about his cheerfulness. Walk along side her he stopped making eye contact and kept silent for the rest of the journey.
