Simply not being talked to puts me into a terrible state.

Anyway, why do I want to spend like every minute with him? I shouldn't be so attached. D;

We dorky romantic girls are never going to change. x3 heart

Haha, sweet. I won an Xbox 360 game in an EA raffle... but ugh, this sucks. EA's presentation was geared toward aspiring game engineers and artists...

My friends and I tried to ask them about game sound design, and even THEY don't know how we should go about breaking into the industry. THE COMPANIES DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THEY GET THEIR OWN MUSIC COMPOSERS AND SOUND ENGINEERS :[

Do yourself a favor and avoid EA. Actually, you'd do well to email smaller developers and ask them how they hire, or what they look for. Or ask their sound designers personally.

EA should pretty much be avoided at all costs though.

They're just easy to get in touch with and seem to hire a lot of newly graduated kids. Hmm... do you have any suggestions for smaller developers I could look at?

They're also known for notoriously bad labor habits, as in 80 hour work weeks being the norm. Not to mention laying off tons of workers when they buy studios and shut them down after the next game in a franchise tanks because it was rushed to market. They're pretty notorious for being a horrible company to work for, and have pretty dubious business practices.

I can't think of too many companies offhand to look into, I guess getting in contact with U.S. based companies would be a start. Look into the sound designers from Valve, Bungie, Blizzard, Bioware, etc. and see how they got into the business, or talk to them and see what they look for. To be honest, I hear very little about that aspect of things so I'm not very sure about any of it.

The only ways I ever really hear about (in general) are that people made a mod or did a project on their own, and either set up a studio or got scouted by a larger company. Either that or they got into through contacts or colleges. Either way, it couldn't hurt to send out a few emails here and there.

Maybe you should find another pick-up line. "You're scary," doesn't usually woo the ladies. xd

Hey, I definitely exist! D:

And yeah, I'm totally a hopeless romantic. On the bright side, so is the boy, so I don't have much to worry about in that sense. :3

Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills.

WOW, it's been a long time since I've heard/used a quote from that movie.

I have great skills, I just can't name them because of national security issues.

Most of the "romantic" guys I've met are total chauvinists. And that isn't really romantic.

I can get doors for myself, yes? If you just happen to get there before me, fine. But don't ******** race me to the door and be a p***k about it.

Also, let me pay for some dates. Especially when I'm much more financially stable than you. It would be nice to go out once in a while instead of sitting at home because your dumb a** in too threatened by the idea that I can pay my own way.

And enough with the damned flowers when you won't let me buy little "just because" gifts for you. You know I kill everything in less than a day, anyways.

... But it's nice to get paid for sometimes.
Especially when I usually cover.
