Has anyone watched the Lion King DVD? Please tell me that AWFUL Zazu "Morning Report" song was a deleted scene or a last-minute add-in. It wasn't in the VHS movie [or its soundtrack - I've owned it since the 4th grade!], and I KNOW I'm not crazy but my boyfriend says it was always there. neutral
Why does Disney feel the need to add extra/deleted songs into their re-released movies 10 years after the fact? The songs are terrible and were originally outtakes for a reason!

Ah, I just got my answer.
The "Morning Report" was in the Broadway Musical.
High School Musical is exactly what it is - a movie on TV that I don't have to pay to watch. I've seen the second one - it's cute, but the only song/dancing segment I actually like is the "I Don't Dance" baseball one.
The reason I succumbed and WATCHED the movie was because someone showed me that song, so I thought the rest of it would be that good. Nope. :[
But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, the Morning Report thing was a deleted scene.
I want the Lion King DVD. I missed it. ;_; It's pretty much one of my favorite Disney movies.

Seeing Simba's pouncing lesson interrupted by outbursts of the "Morning Report" felt like driving over a large pothole. gonk I wish Disney would stop molesting their old movies. Since they insisted on adding a song from the LK Broadway musical, they could've at LEAST picked a better song that fit with the rest of Elton John's music. Ugh, I have so much criticism for the way Disney has been handling their music. Compilation after compilation of the same songs, just using a different name. [CLASSIC DISNEY VOL 1! DISNEY'S GREATEST VOL 1!] My sisters collect the "Disney Mania" CDs where pop stars [aka one famous person + 10 Disney channel stars] re-sing old Disney songs, and it kills me how boring and radio/commercial the arrangements are. Sounds like someone sat down and put a whole 5 minutes of thought into it - they have so much potential but nobody is stepping in to improve the idea. They're just so... damn formulaic.
