The boy's reappearance startled Kaen, who took a step back. She jumped again as Asphiel pulled her away.
She looked at Yule as she spoke and shook her head. "No, I won't go. The boy...."

"Qucikly, we don't know how much time we have." Sara says following Yule's lead up the stairs.
"I don't like this. We are trapped, like rats." Sapphire howls. "Wolfies don't like to be caged." Sapphire gives a mournful howl again.

*All along the walls inside the room the shadows start to shift and push outward, taking a material shape not bound to the surfaces anymore. They were all the same. Thirteen demonic forms of purest black with a head looking like that of a jackel, the body of a man, except with slightly elongated arms and long, clawed hands. The feathered wings folded closely in on their backs. A deep, sonorous laughter starts to fill the room as the bodies form.*
((If you have seen The Mummy 2 the majority of the look is taken from the Anubis warriors, except with bigger claws and with black feathered wings.))

"Kaen move back!" his eyes turned white and made a sword with his light powers, "Mover back! This doesn't look good."
Yule opened the door to the room, bowed, and left.
((I might be changing rooms soon...))

Sapphire draws the swords from her back and then looks at the beings being created around the room. "Wait, I know you or at least I recognize you. You helped me once. What are you doing now?" Sapphire asks looking around not quite sure what has happened or why she recognized him.

Kaen was frozen in her place as the winged dog-demons manifested. They were warriors usually only spoken of in stories in Makai; no one had ever really seen them before. Asphiel's yell brought her back to her senses and Kaen spun, heading for the stairs. ((found a picture of a swarm of them.... Anubis warriors))

*The laughter within the room stops, replaced by words that seem to come from the darkness itself, not any one of the 13 around the wall.* "Your light cannot pierce my darkness angel." *It says, with a sneer on the last word.* "The darkness will consume you, as it has so many others." *With the last words resounding through the room, the figure of the boy appears out of the shadows on the ground again with its eyes closed, drained of all life.*

I remember you helping me. You were good then. You saved me from a cage, much like you've put me in now." Sapphire says spinning around not looking at the forms but beyond to where the words came from before. Inside Sapphire wanted to start wimpering and how again.

"Sapphire...." she whispered. Kaen had started climbing the stairs slowly, still watching the shadow dogs. Her hands gripped the hand rail hard, not sure why she was running. Asphiel told em to get away, she told herself as she heard the shadow's words. If that...thing is here for angels... She put a hand over her belly in fear.

Sapphire just motions up the stairs in response to Kaen's whispered fear. She could risk a distraction to this. "I remember, you broke the ice. I do not know of your kind and I do not know why you think of devoring mine. I know that you did help me, because I would not forget a face such as yours, your broke the ice, so I could escape from my cage. Will you remeove the darkness so I can break from this one?" Sapphire asks not even risking a glance at Kaen, should the attention diver from her.

"Ah!" he placed his hands close to his body but the palm of the hand outward, trying to make a shield around himself. He made the shield grow hot so if it started manifesting back into flesh it'll let go of him quickly.
