Mercury looked around, trying to find the source of this. There was too much saidar in the air, so she gave it up.

"I want 30 sisters to stay in surrounding villages for the night, to make sure everything is ok. The rest of you, thank you for your help. You may return to the Tower, though I suggest you use linking and gateways-we've used much of the Source here."

Immediately, the gateways began opening and sisters started leaving. Mercury looked around and noticing some dust in Hawk's hair, returned the favor and brushed it aside, giving a brief smile as she did. In a few minutes, about half the sisters had gone, and the rest were still going. Now that the ground was a little more open, she noticed Azalea, the Amyrlin, and two Accepted that she couldn't quite make out. It sounded like they were having an argument. She walked over and heard one Accepted-Alina-ask something of the Amyrlin. This was surprising and Mercury would have said something about it, but she was looking at the girl across from Azalea. She was...familiar...like...

"Mirren!!"

((I've got little to no say so in who gets raised...like in the books, that power belongs to Alena alone....))

((Well..most traces of the bonding game live on only in memory..but if you go the first page of the Funny Posts thread..you'll find what little physical proof there is left... smile And a very amusing chunk of proof it is.... twisted ))

((...))

((I can't believe I missed that!!! Augh, I feel like hitting myself with a baseball bat a couple of times!!! Alright, I'll post. I kinda got into a thing there in the third paragraph, and it goes on pointlessly for a while, so you don't have to read that.))

Skiiy searches around the warehouse carefully, looking for the items they so needed to find. He holds his gunblade in his right hand, for though he has the ability to sense Shadowspawn now, he really wasn't used to it, and he couldn't help but feel nervous in a place like this where an attack could come at any second. However, the nervousness slowly turns to frustration as he becomes angered that he can't find the target, and he is forced to resist the strong urge to start slicing stuff up with his blade. He sheathes it over his shoulder just to make sure, but quickly has it out again as he hears a loud clash from Alena's direction, and he's immediately off to see what happened.

He arrives to find that not only is she okay, but that she's also found the ter'angreal and shield. "Great we got the stuff, we should probably head ba-" Skiiy cuts off in mid-sentence as he feels something that can only be Shadowspawn. The pure evil that it encompasses gives him a feeling of dread, but it passes quickly, and he slowly feels his adrenaline rising. Alena says something about getting out of there, but Skiiy is already stretching. "Aw, come on, I wanna fight, I haven't gotten to get in a good all-out fight in a long time, just sparring, and I'm sure we could take'em! But of course, if you wanna head back, it's your call, you're more experienced with the Shadow than I am, and frankly, I could be jumping in over my head. Still, fighting them would weaken their hold in this area, even if it's only a bit. Heck, I'm sure it'd be over quickly if you used that angreal..."

Skiiy looks at the object, and though he tries, he can't seem to comprehend how it could make Aes Sedai so much more powerful. Then again, he didn't really understand the power at all, since his abilities come from within. The fortunate thing about this is that he couldn't be cut off like he had heard they could, but as he used more energy, he wouldn't be able to fight as well, and would get weaker over time until his body had had time to recover. It was about finding the balance of where to use his powers, and it had been something that he had grown comfortable with over they years. However, Aes Sedai made him nervous cause they could do many of the things he could with a lot less effort. It kinda made him feel weak, but he still had some abilities all his own. After all, it wasn't about the power itself, but about how you used it.

((Aww, it's alright. There was a lot of posting going on around that time.))

The presence of the Shadowspan cut Skiiy off and she knew why. He wasn't used to the feeling yet. Eventually though he would develop that sense to be able to tell how many there were. Katerine stood where she was for a few moments and tried to make out the number. His plea to fight though brought her to pat his shoulder.

"Don't worry. You will fight some because I believe there are three Fades with about twenty Trollocs. I would rather not use the angreal because that would draw any Fade for miles here like bees to honey. We need to at least get out of this city. The moment the Dark One realizes that his Fades are being met with resistance, he will send more and that won't be good."

Katerine made her way toward the door with a growing pit of fear in her stomach. She knew that the Fades where probably right there waiting for them to come out. The fact that she didn't know what the shield did bothered her slightly too. Then there was the whole issue of why they were so important. Before opening the door, Katerine turned and looked to Skiiy.

"We need to get back to the inn and leave. I believe I will be able to make a gateway in the stable yard. Those Fades and Trollocs are going to be right outside this door probably. I'm not going to channel right away because I don't want to draw too much attention, but I won't let anything too terrible happen."

Alina Sedai
((AHHH ITS GOTTON SO FAR!)) "alina looks very confused at this Aes Sedai she has NEVER seen before. who is SHE to tell me how to talk to the AMyrilin?!?!? i wasnt being harsh with her! i was frantic. suprised that this entire thing was solved by a simple few words, alina turned to CLarissa and said <"forgive me Amyrilin if i talked...harsh to you..and TOLD you to do somthing... but, who is this girl and what is going on here?!?!?!?!"

((If your character isn't an Accepted I will edit this, but I am pretty sure you are. Once again, not to offend but this is how my character would act.))

: Azalea rose from where she had been sitting with Mirren and watched her leave. Turning her attention to the girl in the Accepted's dress, she cocked an eyebrow. "This girl is the Sitter of the Blue Ajah, and she just talked a very upset Accepted out of completely demolishing a mountain. This girl would like you to explain why you have the right to speak so brazenly to the Amrylin and an Aes Sedai, as well." She looked down at the girl expectantly, waiting for an explanation. She might have let such behavior slide if she had been in a better mood, but Azalea had been desturbed from her writing and had been addressed as an inferior by a little girl. My how she hated being at the Tower. :

Having gotten over shock at seeing Mirren, and discovering her the cause of the trouble, Mercury regained some sense. Now that Azalea mentioned it, that had been out of line...and speaking of...

Mercury's face assumed the mask and she looked towards Alina.

"While you are explaining that to Azalea Sedai," the Keeper began, emphasizing the respectful title an Accepted was supposed to give, "perhaps you would also care to explain why an Accepted is here at such a scene? I recall asking only full sisters to arrive, as such situations are dangerous.

Further, I understand you were the one to give the initial warning, but that does not give you any right to be here. Just because a messenger pigeon is important does not mean it can assume itself among the falcons."

Well...I can give her a little slack because she warned us, but still...such behavior in front of the Amyrlin and a Sitter..even if unintended is not mine to pardon...

((here im editing my post!))
alina looks very confused at this Aes Sedai she has NEVER seen before. dosnt this Aes Sedai know im going to be Rised soon? "excuse me Mother but i didnt mean to be so braisn ((is that the right spelling? is it the right word?)) with you i was just very scared for the Tower." she turned to Aes Sedai and said, "Im sorry Aes Sedai but the Tower has been more of a home to me then where im from! i have lived her since i was 16 and i would not like to see it distroyed by a Wilder, whom, for as far as i know, has never even been in the Tower. But now i see that you know her, and that i am very sorrry. Please forgive me Mother." with that she got down on her knees and kissed the Amyrilins ring. i WILL do what ever it takes to become Aes SEdai. then i will show ALL of them that I AM the best of my generation!.

((this is DUpre!)) Watching all this, and seeing Alina act in a way she had never acted before concerned him. is the Dark One doing somthing to her? there is a forsaken in the Tower, is she doing somhting to her? just as she knet down he felt a surge of emotion he had never felt before comming through the bond. Hatred. he had never known Alina to hate anyone. "NO!" he yelled and lept forward to push the Amyrilin out of Alinas grasp. "SHES NOT HERSELF!"

Kederaji knew very little about the One Power, except that he didn't like it, and that using it seemed to draw shadowspawn like flies. He couldn't tell for himself, but judging by the reactions of the Aes Sedai, it took a lot of saidar to cause that many problems with Dragonmount, enough to probably draw the attention of something nasty.

As he was thinking, he felt a tingle in the back of his neck, a feeling he was getting used to, but still didn't like. The blademaster whirled around, ready to strike, but saw nothing. It was then that he noticed a rather conveniently located boulder, which he climbed quickly to get a better view. Lacy had felt his surprise, and strode over to the rock. "What do you see?"

"Shadowspawn,"
Kederaji growled. "A fade, and a cluster of trollocs, but I can't tell how many from this far away. I'm sure they know better than to attack Tar Valon, but if we don't destroy them, they'll raze the outlying towns." Kederaji suppressed his instinct to bark orders. He wasn't in charge any more, and he had no right to order his superiors around. Instead, he crouched on the rock and waited for the Shadowspawn.

Working on yet another net Lacy had left her back to her Gaidin. She felt he was more than capable of protecting her and letting her know when she was in danger. Her full concentration was on the net. Suddenly suprise stripped through the bond and Lacy felt her weave slip. She cursed under her breath but let the net go. Suprise from her Gaidin was not a good thing. That much of the man she knew. Why she had bonded a man she knew little of she still had not figured out. But that was a question for another time.

Striding over to where her Gaidin was balanced upon a bolder, Lacy left the mountain to the others and looked up at Kederaji. "What do you see?" Lacy waited while he looked. When he told her she cursed a blue streak a mile long that would make most Aes Sedai raise their eyebrows a mile. "Just our luck. What are they doing this far south and how did they get past the Borderlands?" Lacy shook her head. "That doesn't matter now." Lacy pulled herself up on the boulder beside him and crouched not worried about the velvet of her dress. Dresses could always be replaced. "Just our luck that they would be this far south. Too bloody convenient if you ask me." Lacy said and she squinched her eyes to try to see how many. "I'm not sure how many I can take care of that far off." Lacy looked to Kederaji to see what he thought of the matter.
