Nihilistic_Impact Actually it shouldn't be that different since both the rapier and flamberge were primarly used for thrusting. The main difference lies in weight.
And the size of the hole they leave.

lolz, thats why i dont use the rapier all that much.
im not a fencer.
i mean vahn would know because he used to be a knight and all, so you'd assume european or spanish fencing was taught to him, but me, ooc-- i am not comfortable with fencing.

Pssh - I'm really not comfortable with most close range combat style weapons OOC. I mean sure - I can use some of them. And I do like weapons alot.
But when it comes to transfering OOC knowledge of a weapon into a character being able to use it - at X skill level - I just get all lost in translation.
Unless its knives, katar, or knuckle weapons. xd

You need a schiavona, if I remeber correctly it's an italian broadsword. So it's a little bit thicker and heavier then a rapier so it doesn't bend so easily but it keeps all the same characteristics. Over all a great sword and lovely to look at.

My style of swordfighting happens to center around swinging it at something squishy and watching it bleed from both halves.
Wounding is for the weak.

And on the note of torture, I shall head to bed.
And then finish my paper tomorrow morning, because I'm irresponsible like that.

Vahn Kyonuske The easiest way to explain what happened.... V-TEC JUST KICKED IN, YO! Nihilistic_Impact That's a rather poor photoshop, but the concept amuses me. I feel sort of off with this, as I'm supporting a man who is set on murdering my character, but I just like to bring lesser known things into light. Whether or not this is photoshopped, I draw no conclusions, but as for what is being portraited; It is possible. I don't know if all carriers are capable of such extravagant movements, but I do know that one of the more recently built carriers is. It's designation escapes me, but there was an edisode of THE HISTORY CHANNEL's "Modern Marvels" which explained carriers. The one depicted is capable of turns that may set it's flight deck up to 45 degree angles, but only if all planes and personnel are securely below deck. That part of the ship that remains underwater is designed to allow for such things, and involves a complex balast system.
Upon speculation, the entire thing could be a farse as some pile of propaganda set forth by the American Government, but I'd rather avoid voicing my political opinion. There's just too much arguement involved in such things, so I avoid stating my view.
Regardless, according to a creditable network, whether it be filled with propaganda or not, this is possible. I make no claim of seeing it in person... This is brought to you by what little time I spend watching TV.EDIT: Damn, I missed a discussion about melee weapons >.
