Jakar rose from his bed and dressed in the dark tunic, trousers, and boots he had been provided. After a quick meditation, he left his quarters and proceeded into the turbolift. He rode it until it stopped at the floor with the dining hall. Jakar grabbed some food and sat a table alone. He looked around the large dining area, taking note of a few off-duty guards and what seemed to be government officials. As far as he could tell, the room was devoid of non-humans, but he was still too tired to focus intently.

After he downed his caf, Jakar moved on out of the dining hall and proceeded to the training room, passing several palace guards and Sith soldiers in their signature gleaming-silver armor. He entered the training room, and there was no one to be seen. Jakar sat in the middle of the room and began meditating.

The shuttle from Thule landed at the Embassy in Capital City shortly after midnight, and Marie made sure that it was well-prepared to accommodate the diplomatic delegation. She would meet with them later in the day, after they had time to rest and enjoy the luxuries that the Embassy had to offer.

After Marie settled the last few affairs of the night, and made sure that Lord Marr's message was delivered to her agents near Malcolm Stryder, she headed off to her bunk to get what little sleep she could before the events of the coming morning demanded her attention.

(The night passes, and she dreams of running and wading through the sewers of Capital City, blaster shots echoing behind her. Her face, much younger and grim with determination, comes into and out of the sections illuminated by the dim lights overhead. She turns around a corner and presses herself against the wall, firing back into the tunnel behind her at the advancing secret police, catching one of them in the chest. She was the only survivor of a botched attempt at destroying their headquarters, a building she would live and work in many years later...)

Marie woke up at precisely 0823 hours, ate the breakfast she had delivered to her suite each morning, and dressed in her second-favorite training outfit. The outfit consisted of a tight pair of blue jeans and an olive-green tank-top that ended a few inches above the jeans and showed off the tattoo right at the bottom of her back. She finished the outfit off with a pair of comfortable running shoes.

After checking herself in the mirror, Marie hooked a lightsaber on each side of her belt and headed to the secret elevator behind her bed that took her down to the main floor.

Kira Skirata carried the unconscious boy through the facility, hoping desperately that Fi had already cleared the path to the Revenge on the roof above. The boy lay almost limp in her arms, and she wouldn't be able to defend herself adequately while carrying him.

She finally got to the top floor and came face to face with a black and gold helmet.

"Where the hell were you?" Fi asked, looking at Rook and then glancing down at the child in her arms. "And who's the kid?"

"It's a long story," Kira replied, not feeling like divulging all the details at the present moment. "Get me back to the ship and I'll oblige your curiosity."

"We've taken way too long on this one," Fi said, turning back into the hallway and bringing her carbine to her shoulder. "The Feds are probably almost here."

"Then let's get a move on."

The room Siren would be staying in was more luxurious than she expected. She was used to the typical Sith mentality of raw power and strength from everyone else, that she hadn't quite gotten used to the idea that others might have a taste for the finer things as well.

The guards that were her escorts went their own way once Siren and the few harem girls that came with her were safely in the city, leaving them in the care of the Lyrans.

After a good night's rest, Siren started the day with a little intimate pleasure with one of the harem girls. Once she took a bit to look at whatever data was available as to what there was she could make use of, she decided to head out and have a good look around. She had a hunch that this world would at least be somewhat comparable to the near-utopian Thule she had her rather short reign over.

Marie Celeste walked into the training room and was surprised to see that Jakar was already there, meditating in the center of the room like an unmoving flesh-and-blood statuette.

"It's been awhile since someone got in here before me," she said, closing the door and walking inside. "You don't mind if I warm up before we get started, do you?"

The small holographic projection of the shi'ido finally activated, as his notorious cloaked guise looked around. It gave a laugh, as the datapad shot out a beam of light, scanning Sonya and Volgen's face, identifying the people.

"Either you're the real deal, or someone has good imitations. Either way, my actions are unlikely to be changed. The information on this disk contains your entire mission specs for the two of you. The first is prepatory, the other is investigatory, both of which complement each other. I will depart in two days from this rock, more than ample time for you to perform your tasks. Make sure that nobody follows my departure. I've had a nagging idea that I will be followed, and my plans are far too critical to go awry now. If you find nothing is following me, then you are to also investigate these people, listed on this pad. There are about 10 names, the top competitors in the big twenty-five which I did not screen personally. If you can, capture them alive, and bring them to my installation near the Maw. Of particular note is this Echani merc; he seems more than capable of being well trained. He might be fun. If this is unfeasible, kill these people. I need no trace of my workings."

The guise stared around a bit. "I also give you this Umbaran, as a gift. She will be hard working, and serve you well. Train her better than Karah Tos or Cyneticus did."

Volgen looked around and sniffed the air.

" Smell that... Thats the smell of pain... " Volgen's eyes wondered around lost in his bad memories.

" Get your things and get into the ship. " He said as his eye twitched and the ramp came down again.

" We start your training right now. If you keep me waiting your pain will be that much more..." He said strangely walking up the ramp.

The Pirate captain gave a booming almost theatrical laugh.
"Good? Why I'm the best damn Pirate o' this age or any other! How many pirates can hold a fleet as big as this one be? None but Captain Darksun, Pirate King! And with the money I'm gonna make ransomin' you back to the Sith, I'll be able ta get even better ones. Or maybe I be sellin ya to tha Republic. I could get a full pardon fer me crew and I, maybe a privateership or Navy Rank. The options now be near limitless."

"Of course not," Jakar said, keeping his eyes closed. He sensed her in front of him, there wasn't a reason for him to open his eyes and lose his focus.

A snarl formmed on Sonya's lips.

"Then it's a good thing I don't have any personal effects, now is it?" she asked, hands ready to grip a lightsaber at her hip for whatever reason. This dog seemed less than appealing as her new tutor. "But I am not your lapdog. I've been passed around enough as it is."

She followed him up the ramp with the pristine and elegance that her nobility granted. Considering how much Nakara praised this guy, it could only mean he was that much more insane.

(( Oh snap. Dis is going to be fun! twisted ))

Volgen stopped in his tracks. He turn his head back in an odd manner as it cracked. Volgen eyes let out a faint glow and his hair started to flicker as the light was bent around him.

" My dear... " He spoke softly and kindly as he stopped suddenly and turned all the way around getting right in her face.

" I would not presume that I am any weaker then the master you and I serve. My power is in my faith to the master. With my master soft teachings of pain and suffering, my power grows every day. "

Volgen sniffed at her lightly. Then sniffed at her chest. He meant it not as a sexual gesture, he was getting her sent.

" Hrmmmm... You smell divine. Your right that your not a lap dog. But right now... " He looked strait in her eyes.

" Your mine..." Voglen snapped away and slowly got on all fours and lazily walked away.

Getting into the turbo lift he shot up to the bridge. He walked in and stook strait up.

" Lets get this bird moving! " Volgen yelled grinning evilly.

The crew let out a howl as the got to work. Gray walked next to him and gave him an odd look.

" Master? Whats with the look? That's new. Have not seen that since you was a pup. " Gray gave a mocking grin.

" Shut it old man. I got a play toy. " He said pushing his hand of Gray head playfully.

Normally, someone on a diplomatic mission to bring 2 factions together would be easily noticed by either an escort or by proper formal attire. Siren had neither. She made her way around to check out everything in a close vicinity to where she was staying, wearing the same bejewelled lingerie she uses in place of a proper formal gown.

It wasn't surprising to see that anyone she passed by would gaze in awe and confusion when they noticed her. She opened herself to the Force to sense if there was any lustful desire. When she found someone that had any, she lightly teased them with promises of intimacy and entertainment. One man she came across was very interested in her, and she went as far as to do a sensual dance for him since there was nobody else around.

The girls that came with her were most likely doing similar things. Pleasure was their purpose, and they were very good at their jobs. For a moment, she stopped to look out at the landscape, and started to think. She only recently gave Thule over to Demaia, and herself as the Sith noble's slave. Word of the changes hadn't reached this far yet from the looks of things. Assuming they discover it, or ask, she wondered how her new position would affect her standing here on the Lyran world. Whether she remained a diplomat or became just a slave in their eyes, it really made no difference. Either way, she would do what she came to do. However, if her hosts decided she must obey them, that could result in some fun. She grinned slightly at the thought, remembering what happened when she originally lost her rule of Thule.

"Great," Sonya muttered, following the mutt up the ramp of his ship. "the dog now has an attitude. First a clown, then a god, then a rabbit, now this? Is Nakara really a genius or does he simply decide to assemble the wierdest freaks in the galaxy," she pondered to herself under her breath, glaring at anyone or anything which gave her looks.

She bit the inside of her cheek lightly, as she began to consider her predicament. So far, things had been nothing but bad luck for whomever came in contact with her. Perhaps the quick turnover of masters would prevail with this 'master' too...

As Sonya walked in Volgen looked to her and motioned for her to stand next to him.

" I need to know who you are before I can make you any more of a Sith. I need to know your fighting style, your tactics and more importantly... Your force ability. Now most Sith would attack their students and attempt to scare them, I feel it is better to know my student. Tell me about Sonya. "

The ship now in orbit they waited on the command to go to warp.

"There will be no ransom, Captain," said Marr, patiently waiting for the pirate to finish his boasting. "I came here merely to assess a threat. What I found was a curiosity, but little more than that. Until we meet again..."

...the image of Marr flickered for a second, and then faded entirely, revealing a thin holodroid in its place. Seconds later, a small explosion sounded from within the droid, and it crumpled to the ground in a smoldering heap of circuits and wires.

Farther away, amongst the discarded containers floating adrift in space, one of the container's sides disappeared, the Avatar flying out through the gap, screaming towards the end of the system and disappearing into hyperspace...
