| History Summery |Kumi is a young lion from a very old, wise pride. When he was an adolescent, he had already learned more about the world than most adult lions, but it was also at this time that the pride began to war with another old, powerful pride. It was all sneaking and deception, double-agents, poisons, anything that the intelligent lions could think to use against one another. It killed Kumi, then under his birth name, to see his family fighting and his pride dying in the bloody war. At first he had helped his pride in the war, until his own pride used a smaller group of creatures as fodder against the enemy. It was at this point that Kumi realized that neither side was right and that there would be no happy ending.
Using a clever ploy, he managed to trap both sides in a valley using a rock-slide, including his parents, siblings, and a female he had once though he might ask to be his mate. He changed his name to Kumi to distance himself from his past and has spent his days since wandering the world in search of new things, new creatures, maybe even a new life.
Despite this, there is something he cannot seem to let go of. Tradition had it that every lion born had a place in the pride, one they were destined to from birth. And as one generation aged, another grew to take its place. Upon each cub's birth, he or she were brought before two great and powerful seers, Watcher and the Keeper, and it was from these two beings that they were given their title. Kumi had been fated to be a protector, but far more than that. He would treat the wounded and ill and drive off the dark forces that tried to consume his brethren. Just as his predecessor was destined to die, Kumi was destined to take his rightful place as the Doctor.
