Liozu appeared to either not have noticed Ana jerking her hand away, or didn't care, as he only tilted his head in acknowledgment and stood up, offering her a hand. "I'm Liozu. THough chances are, you already knew that," Liozu said with a smile, casting a glace over at Kushina. Mentally sneering, Empress couldn't see why that lizard would ever want to try and lessen the damange the Queen-to-be had possibly done to herself... Oh, of course, she'd forgotten. They were nice people. That's just what they did. How utterly disgusting.
***
You wouldn't expect something like that, would you, darling? Nadil could have wrung you inside out mentally, played with you... And you wouldn't be surprised, or angry. Fought it, yes, however little that would have done, as we can attest here. Such a sweet, faulty little thing you are... Empress crooned to the real owner of the body she was parading around in.
Liozu gritted his teeth, but didn't bother with defending himself. He could only vaguely remember who Nadil was, and what he had meant to the Liozu back then, but yes. He wouldn't be surprised, or angry or anything, if that had happened... or would happen now. It was disgusting, and better left in some deep, dark, dank corner of his mind to be forgotten, but with her here, he wouldn't be allowed to.
And don't you forget it, darling.

Jett reappeared after the feast. Standing at the head of the table, he announced, "The new Queen is very stressed and homesick right now, and will not be joining us for the rest of the evening. She is not accostumed to living in Dusis and the customs of the land."

Nieth reentered the feast hall a moment after Lord Jett, having taken the longer (and more stressful) route through the kitchens in order to make sure that everything there, at least, was still running according to plan. About to seat herself, she noticed that Ana was still cleaning up the glass and had invovled Liozu in the process.
"Here," Nieth knelt beside them, quickly pulling out a brush and dusttray from... who knew where. "There." A few simple strokes had collected as much of the glass shards as they were likely to pick up if they stayed at it all night. "Ana, give that to one of the girls in the kitchen to clean up. Make sure they check no shards got caught in the brush."
She dropped the supplies on the bottom level of the drink cart and touched Ana lightly on the arm before returning to her seat. "I want to talk to you after the feast is over."
Ana gulped, shrinking in on herself slightly in fear. That did not sound good. However, maybe she wouldn't be allowed to serve any more during these big affairs. That would be nice.

"I hope you don't get in trouble, Ana," Liozu smiled apologetically and tilted his head.
"Maybe we can meet some time later and talk?" making sure to leave the question-offer open and soft enough to not seem overbearing. One had to be careful with these shy little birdies. Otherwise they might fly off, and while they could be caught again, it wouldn't be as easy as it could have been if one had just been careful enough at the start.
Having stopped singing, almost as if it had been planned, only moments before Jett, and then Neith, re-entered, Kushina smiled brightly and sat down in her seat again, humming under hear breath cheerily.

Slinking away from the table, Madiir slowly began to set up a small table he used for fortune-telling. The dishes at the feast would be cleared away shortly, and he was sure people would be interested in his cards. With practiced hands, the Seer began to shuffle and reshuffle the worn card, closing his eyes and focusing his mind.

((<333 I just got an idea. I need Celia. ninja ))
"Talk?" That certainly sounded... innocent enough. And maybe it would give her a chance to get a better look at the way his skin and hair held the light... "I... I guess that would be okay... I mean," Ana tried to regain some amount of composure. "I mean, that would be nice. Um.... When?"

((Yay for ideas~ biggrin !))
Liozu shrugged and smiled at Ana, expression open and friendly. This was going smoothly indeed, for just such a short first meeting.
"Whenever is convenient for you, Ana. I wouldn't like just assume some particular time would be good," Liozu said with an open smile, while Empress, inside, was practically crooning in glee. At least this was keeping her from, right now anyway, harrassing Liozu.

((XDDD Here's a (compromised and revised) piece from Kami and my AIM conversation. Hahaha.
Kami: So... We have decided that, out of all the female characters, Micoi is the one who most needs to be seen in a schoolgirl uniform. XD
Micoi: o.O;
Nadil: What!? o-o; XDDD; Who decided that!?
Kami: We took a vote. XD Ana was in second place. Then Midare, then Celia.
Ana: o//o;;
Midare: Wtf!?
Celia: .////.;;
Nadil: Who voted? XD;
Kami: The DFs. XD
DFs: *highfiving each other*
Micoi: Uhm... am I supposed to be honored by this?
Nadil: Ok, what does the Lord think of this? XD;
Kami: XD Who knows?
*** (change of scene)
Narrator: Micoi walks out on the courtyard in a school girl uniform.
Micoi: *looks around a little confused, wondering how she got there in the first place*
Magical manga/shojou wind: *blows lightly, carrying sakura petals with it and making Micoi's skirt move somewhat*
Micoi: >.>;;; Where did the wind come from?? *puts a hand on her hair while looking after the wind, holding a school bag in her other hand*
DFs: *in the Dragon Fighter HQ watching very eagerly for the panty-shot*

((Celia: O.O*))
Celia still sat in the library, paging through the book, occasionally asking Kahaku questions about various things mentioned in the book, or about some of the sketches. "and this one? who's that?"she asked, gesturing to a picture of a boy sitting on a slightly strange looking bird-demon.
'Zoma. A good boy, though....he was a little bit naieve to listen to Rath as much as he did.....'said Kahaku, before explaining how Rath had gotten Zoma to pose as him for a length of time once.
Celia laughed, and turned the page to something she hadn't expected; A picture of a woman with long dark hair, and a cross on her forehead. She felt like she recognised the person, but she couldn't really remember...."Kahaku, who is this?"she asked, poingint to the picture, and tilting her head slightly to the side.
Kahaku almost seemed to smile. 'That, would be one of the Dragon Castle's past fortune tellers, from just around the time of Lord Lykouleon, Miss...'
"Sarazar, right?"she said, not quite sure where she knew the name from, but now feeling like this was all information she had known for a long time...It was a very odd feeling for her.
'Correct....But I think, this might be eneough for you to think about for now...Why don't we continue tomorrow?'Kahaku suggested, crawling up her arm again onto her shoulders.
"Alright, alright...But you have to promise to tell me more tomorrow then,"Celia replied, closing the book and standing up. She placed it carefully back on its shelf, and then dusted herself off a bit, and adjusted her dress a little; it had gotten rather mussed while she was sitting.
'Agreed, I promise,'said Kahaku his head bobbing slightly in a nod as they headed for the door.

((Ah, good times, good times. xDD))
Ana looked away onto the ground, very uncomfortable with having to decide this herself. "I... Ah... We're usually excused for meals and we have some free time after dinner unless Nieth asks us to work later..." Biting her lower lip in her nervousness, Ana stood as if to take the handle of her cart, holding one arm in front of her chest and rubbing its wrist with her free hand. "I... I guess we could meet then unless you're busy or something..."

Shaking his head, Liozu smiled, briefly touching Ana's shoulder in the way of those who unthinkingly are touchy with anyone who they speak to.
"No, that's perfectly fine. Tomorrow? Or in a few days? Since the Queen-to-be is here, and as long as there aren't any freak youkai attacks, I won't have much to do, whenever is good for me."
She was so "touchingly" shy and awkward over having to make the decision herself, but Empress knew girls like this; while uncomfortable now, she would most probably be grateful over having been asked and over having had her input treated as if it did matter. It was all a matter of careful giving, until you could do... practically whatever, and they would, out of shyness, fear, and loyalty (not so say, quite often, blinding love) keep quiet about it. It was quite magnicifient.

((She really is quite devious. BTW, her plan should work spectacularily.))
"I... I don't know..." she stammered, looking away again. "I... I guess anytime would be good... I'm sorry..."
This was terrifying! On the other hand, she did want to see him again and she didn't want him to think she didn't want that... "I... I guess tomorrow."

((She's quite the awful, evil vampiress, yes. xD; Well, that's good! ... For Empress, that is... 8D; ))
"Then tomorrow it is," smiling warmly, Liozu nodded before continuing. "At the fountain after dinner then? If you want to do something other from there, we can decide that then. And," Liozu paused to looked towards Neith with a teasing eyebrow raised, "I think I'll leave now, lest I be accused of taking up all your time. It's been wonderful meeting you, Ana," Liozu said, and bowed slightly to the maid before, as the dinner was finished and people had started milling around, some seeking themselves towards Madiir and his table, Liozu wouldn't be missed.
Empress was heartily tired of all these worms, no matter how delightful the prospect of tainting such a delightful thing like Ana, was. She had had quite enough of the dramatics the lizards "served".
Had it been back when she had her own body, and a few lackeys, she would have withdrawn to have some fun with those girls. As it was, she couldn't. She couldn't even withdraw to her own mind and body for rest until her little strung-up "bird" collapsed and went to sleep from all the strain. But, that was a small, negible matter, and as long as she could get away from these... distasteful beings, it was all right.
The corridors outside the great hall were shadowed and almost shockingly quiet compared to the hall. And also empty. It was a relief.

Baran was taking the long way back to the HQ, walking through the castle instead of cutting corners in the garden. It was raining slightly outside and he didn't feel like getting wet. He had spoken to the Fighters guarding the main entrance like Aiketh had asked (and helped them to finish off their bottle of liquor-- so much more satisfying than the delicate and more expensive stuff served inside the feast) and was now feeling much more at ease than he had inside the great hall.
"Hey," Baran called, noticing Celia walking up ahead, "Celia! Wait up!"
