[Shatteredfang glanced back at Foxfur when he returned, sighing. She took the vole that she had caught, padding on. She stifled a few yawns for a few minutes with her tail. Finally, she caught another scent. This time, it was a mouse. She smiled and set her vole down, stalking in the direction of the scent.
Her eyes darted from left to right, trying to see a sign of the small creature. Yellow-green eyes locked on to the scurrying mouse as it darted too and fro. She smiled, leaping at the mouse. She let out a furious hiss as it dodged her paws and scurried on toward a patch of grass. She dashed after it, paws clawing furiously after its tail.
Shatteredfang gave a last swipe at the mouse, but her paws came up empty. She sighed in defeat, padding closer to where the mouse disappeared. She suddenly felt the soft grass underneath her paw turn into something else, squishy and wriggly.
Shatteredfang drew back in shock. A dead vole crawling with maggots lay a tail length in front her. Its belly rippled from the maggots pushing around inside it. The grotesque crowfood made her gag.] "Dear StarClan," she whispered, giving it a cautious sniff. [The only scent that came from it was a foul, horrendous odor; No Clan scent or rogue.
Shatteredfang let her ears lie flat against her head. Who in their right mind would let good prey go to waste like this?
She shrugged, stepping around it. Might as well bury it. She stood beside it, drawing out one of her back legs to kick some dirt onto it.
Suddenly, there was an audible snap, and a hot pain grew in her tail. She yowled, fury, rage, and fright flowing through her. She tried to tug away from whatever had clamped onto her tail. The pain grew until it became unbearable. She whimpered slightly, trying to get away.] "Let me go, Foxfur!" she yowled furiously, her head whipping around, but to her suprise, no cat, or animal was there. [Her pained gaze fell down to her tail, to the metallic colored thing with sharp teeth had ahold of her tail. A fox trap had ahold of her.
Shatteredfang tugged away from the fox trap furiously, but felt the pain grow even more in her tail. She flopped uselessly to the ground. Her tail had begun to grow numb from the pain.]

Foxfur
[Foxfur stood in the moonlight, his pelt gleaming. Suddenly, he heard Shatteredfang's yowl of pain and ran towards her, plans forming.
He grabbed a stick and began furiously working at the thing that seemed to be holding it together. After a few long minutes, the trap sprang free and released Shatteredfang's tail. He circled her, inspecting the damage]
"Are you alright? We have to get you back to Hauntedheart, Moonflower can wait, I mean, look at your- wait. You thought I was attacking you? How could you possibly think that I was attacking you?" he asked angriliy.

[Hauntedheart opened her crystal eyes. Couldn't she get a little rest in this clan? She should just send Honeypaw. No, her stupid apprentice would probably mess the whole thing up. Besides, whatever was going on, it seemed rather important by Leopardstorm's tone. The she-cat stood up and padded out of her den and into the nursery.]
"What is it, Leopardstorm?" she asked, slightly annoyed.

[Shatteredfang hissed as Foxfur pried the trap from her tail. She swirled her head around, trying to inspect her tail. Blood oozed from the punctures, and a few marks went right through her tail. She hissed, ignoring Foxfur's concerns. Her tail hung on barely at parts. Would it still work?
The small tabby tried to twitch her tail. Only the part closest to the base of her tail worked. She let out a low wail. "It doesn't work," she half whimpered to herself, licking the blood that still flowed from it. Her ears fell back. What was she going to do?
Shatteredfang slowly turned her attention to the fox trap, then to Foxfur.] "Foxfur, I found this one when I was burying some crowfood," she murmured, only worry displaying in her eyes. "What if the twolegs are trying to use prey as bait to kill us, or something else?" she asked, her gaze flickering around. She half expected to see more abandoned kill lying around. "What if there are more traps lying around?" [She stood up, shaking her pelt. She felt the same unbearable pain in her tail. She blinked, gazing around.] "We have to do something about them, if there are more," she meowed.

[Eaglesoar meowed quietly as he dipped his head down, giving Silentkit a gentle nudge on her behind (ABOVE THE TAIL!!) with his nose. Newborn kits should be crawling around the nest, exploring their surrondings...and not crying out in pain.]
"IT's probably nothing, you know...she's probably just not used to the outside world."
[As much as he hoped that it was true, his words sounded empty, and he glanced at Hauntedheart hoping for an answer to Silentkit's condition soon.] --------------------------------------------------x x x "xxsoaring through the sky

[Foxfur hissed softly and sat down, thoughts running through his mind.
Foxtraps...trying to bait us..something else...Foxes?!
Foxfur looked down at her]
"I... I have no idea what the twolegs are trying to do, but I agree. We have to do something about the traps. I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of stupid twolegs. Well.... I know you want to help...but shouldn't...well, don't you want? Hauntedheart needs to look at your tail. Don't lie. I know it hurts"
[Foxfur stood infront of her awkwardly, not sure if she wanted help or not, especially from him]

and guardian of all things."_______________________________________________ [Guardiankit heard the crying of one of his siblings. He immediately let go of Divinekit, turning and running to his sister.
He sniffed her, unsure of what was wrong. He pressed his nose to her pelt as she tried to move and realized her back legs were limp.
He began to lick her back legs instinctively, working furiously without knowing why. As another cat ((Hauntedheart)) came up, he snarled at it, standing over his sister protectively, and continued to lick, trying to block the stranger from getting too close to her.]
(( He's trying to lick it to get the blood flowing...to perhaps wake up feeling in her legs. D:

 ❁Purekit"I try to live true to myself, but...somehow, I'm living a lie."═══════════════════════[Purekit turned and walked out of the nursery, unable to stand the crowd of cats pushing in. She sighed and looked around.
I hope Forsaken's alright, she worried, Forsaken eats blood...he has to be made of it! That means Blood would eat him up!
The thought made the small kit shudder. She looked at the entrance to camp.
Well...I won't go far. I'll stick to the outside walls, she thought determinedly.
She scuttle over to where no cat was and crept out of camp. She was so small, the reeds towered over her. Nobody could see her.
She padded around the outside of camp, sighing unhappily. SUddenly, she felt the urge to run. So she did.
She flew, a white streak, accross the swamp, feeling the wind whip her body.
Suddenly, in mid-leap, there was a large snapping sound. She hit the ground and stumbled, rolling to a stop. She stood up and looked cautiously at the noise-maker.
It was a steel trap! She had leapt right through it. If she had been a full-grown warrior, though...
Purekit widened her eyes. Where else were these traps?!
She quickly scuttled back to camp, which was close by. Swallowing her fear, she searched for her mother, eyes wild.]
"Momma!" she squeaked, "Momma, we have a problem!"
[Foxfur and Shatteredfang are out hunting! I hope they aren't hurt!! she fretted mentally, scuttling around in a panic.]

[Tigerfang looked at the little kit with eyes that seemed to be filled with what looked like sympathy. She got a feeling deep within her, something that felt like a fierce fire like she wanted to protect the kit. It was strange, and Tigerfang didn't know if she liked it or not.]
[She gazed at the kit for a while, and soon she felt her muscles relax as she sat down.]
What is wrong with me? I don't belong in a nursery!

Lavenderrain (( Ack! So sorry, I forgot about her! whee ))
Lavenderrain uncurled herself in her nest, parting her jaws in a yawn. She stood, blinking in the sunlight. She stepped out of her den, grabbing a mouse for herself, but then pausing. Leopardstorm would need it. Besides, she hadn't seen the kits yet. Lavenderrain smiled to herself, then padded across the clearing and slipped insode the nursery. Her purple eyes narrowed in surprise at the fuss over the white kit, especially Eaglesoar. Lavenderrain walked around the fuss and dropped the mouse near Leopardstorm's nose, pushing it towards her encouragingly. "Eat it when you're ready," Lavenderrain mewed, a hint of motherly softness in her tone. Leopardstorm blinked gratefully, then loked at her kits. "The gray one's Guardiankit. The golden one is Sunkit, and the white one is Silentkit," Leopardstorm explained, and Lavenderrain blinked warmly. "They're beautiful. Just like their mother," Lavenderrain complimented, then touched her tail to the queen's shoulder and turned away. She vansihed through the nursery entrance and stopped when she heard the squealing of her kit. She stopped Purekit by putting her tail in the kit's path, blocking it. "Purekit, dear! What's going on? What were doing outside of camp without a warrior?! I told you I would take you out, but I didn't wantyou going out alone!" Lavenderrain mewed frantically, licking her kit profusely.

[Shatteredfang shook her head.] "No, I'll be fine," she growled frustratedly, looking back at her tail. It still hurt terribly. [She shook her fur once more, looking back toward camp.
She suddenly heard a loud snap. She jumped, whirling back around to Foxfur.] "I think something tripped another one," she meowed worriedly, her ears twitching uneasily.
She started toward where the noise had came from, but the unbearable pain in her tail started again. She hissed furiously, looking at her tail. SHe had stepped on where it had been caught. She sighed.] "I'll go check on whatever triggered that one trap, then head back to camp," she meowed to Foxfur, padding toward the sound. "You just go set off as many as you can with a stick or something," she meowed over her shoulder.
Shatteredfang broke into a run, trying to ignore the horrifying pain in her bloody, mangled, barely hanging on tail.
Shatteredfang finally found another trap, clamped tight shut. Nothing was caught in it. She heaved a sigh of relief, but it caught in her throat as she caught the fresh scent of another cat. Purekit!
Shatteredfang let out a horrified hiss, trying not to think that Purekit had just had a rough brush with death. She looked down at her tail, heaving a defeated sigh. She needed to get back to camp.
The small tabby sighed, and started toward camp. She yawned, looking down at the ground as she went on. A thought hit her. Where had she put her vole?
Shatteredfang rolled her eyes, and started toward the tree that she had buried it by.
Suddenly, the ground under her hind paws turned cold and foreign feeling. A cold feeling gripped tight in her chest. She quickly leapt into the air as she heard the cold silver fox trap's jaws whistling through the air, trying to avoid the trap. Another pain in her tail came once more, exactly where the other trap had got it. She choked back a yowl, hoping that Foxfur wouldn't come running again. She hissed, trying to reach for a stick near by, but suddenly, she didn't feel the rest of her tail. She could reach for the stick now. Her tail was gone.
Shatteredfang couldn't move. She was stunned, half by the pain, and half by how quickly she had lost her tail. A sudden feeling of dread crept inside her. She let out a low wail , not wanting to see the rest of her tail. She charged back to camp.
When she entered the camp, she looked back at her tail, letting out a hiss of shock. There was a little more than a mouse length left of her now bloody tail. She began trembling uncontrollably, suddenly feeling dizzy. She collapsed, blacking out. ]

Foxfur
[Foxfur nodded worriedly and turned away, looking, searching for traps. He padded through the marsh, not bothering to stop for prey. He found a trap and set it off, before dragging it into plain sight, so they wouldn't be able to miss it. Foxfur sniffed around, spotting more and more as he went on.
After springing many traps, he turned and headed back towards camp, hoping he had gotten them all.
After arriving back at camp, he spotted Shatteredfang and padded over, nosing her softly]
"Hauntedheart! We need you! Come quick!"
