 "To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze noticed a new cat hiding shyly in the shadows. He tilted his head, slightly curious, but he was too shy himself to go up to it. The cat already had Galestar's scent on it, so Embergaze figured it was welcome. He averted his eyes and walked up to the new warriors as Mapleleaf had done.]
"Congratulations Stormpaw," he said, brushing the warrior with his tail.
Padding up to Larkcry, he said, "Congratulations, Larkpaw, you deserve it."
[He brushed her shoulder with his tail and found her pelt was surprisingly soft. Startled, he backed away and padded over to a soft patch of grass, and sat in it, surveying the camp with his fiery orange eyes.]

 M a p l e l e a f "Stand up for what you believe in; otherwise, you will be trampled on by those who don't."____________________________________ [Mapleleaf paused, about to follow Embergaze, but decided against it. She padded to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a rabbit, weaving her way through the cats and sat on the patch of grass where Embergaze was sitting, then gulped nervously.]
"Er...Embergaze? Wou-would you li-like to sh-share?" Mapleleaf asked, prodding the rabbit, unable to control her stuttering out of nervousness.
[Get ahold of yourself! You can do this! You're not a kit! a voice in her mind roared. Mapleleaf snarled silently at the voice, then pushed it to the back of her mind.] ____________________________________________

[Waiting for Galestar to respond, she turned her head and nodded, smiling, at Serpentpaw]
"Come out, Serpentpaw. It's alright"
[Her eyes soon landed on her daughter, about to share prey with Embergaze. She nodded slowly. Good choice, honey. Tilting her head, she frowned slightly. He reminds me of your father.. Birdsong! Don't go down that road! Birdsong shook her head, and looked back at her leader]

[Embergaze froze, feeling ashamed. The rabbit had Mapleleaf's scent all over it.
Great...while I was bumbling around like an idiot, she went hunting...
He pushed the thought back wearily.]
"S-sure," he said, stuttering as well.
[Why is she stuttering? I'm the one acting like a mouse-brain! he thought.
He dug into the rabbit, trying not to make eye contact. Making eye contact made him nervous, especially with a she-cat, and especially with Mapleleaf.
Wait...especially with Mapleleaf? What does that mean?
He pushed the thought back, getting more nervous.]

[Mapleleaf glanced up, catching her mother's eye. Her green eyes glowed, then she dug into the rabbit, her stomach turning as she shared her prey with Embergaze.]

We are the swift... We are the strong...  Pepperpaw[Pepperpaw padded away toward the camp, keeping a slow pace for fear of Spadekit's wounds. He let his eyes shift towards her ever so ofter to check that she was still there.]
[Once the camp was in sight he felt his heart drop. Spadekit would need to get checked out by Iceears, thought at least she wouldn't need to get any other body parts removed. And while she was getting treated, he would pay a visit to Joypaw to ensure she was alright. The fall seemed to really rattle her, and she had wanted to talk anyway.]
"Once we're in camp go see Iceears. I'll be there after I talk to Joypaw. She said she wanted to talk to me." We are and always will be... Breezeclan...

[Yet, what Birdsong had said were things he told himself all the time. Somehow, when she said it, it seemed to have more power, and he perked up.]
"I suppose he'll be fine...and will return when he's ready," Galestar murmured, eyes brightening.
He tilted his head, then said, "I should go hunting....would you like to accompany me?"

Wavepelt chanted the new warrior's names with the rest of the clan, but started a little late. He was hiding his exitement that he was helping the clan as he padded over to Cometstream. He looked at Falconstrike and noticed something about him. "Hey Falconstrike, I'm just wondering, how long have you been a warrior?"

 __________________[Serpentpaw shook her head. she didn't want to come out even if Birdsong was here, she was too weary... but when she heard Galestar talk about hunting she perked up. she looked at him in hopes that he would take her for her first lesson.]

But her happiness quickly vanished as she saw Joypaw nervously pawing at the ground, looking like she needed to tell Pepperpaw something important. She nodded to the tom and padded off to Iceears' den.]
"Iceears? I'm here to see to it that my wounds get treated." [She looked to see her sister Dicepaw behind her. Perfect, now they could get looked over together.] "I-I mean, WE came here to get our wounds treated." [She mewed, pointing her nose at Dicepaw since her tail was too much of a stump to point to her.]

☼ ● ● ☼ ❧ ♨----------------------- [Galestar's eyes trailed to Spadekit's vanishing stump of a tail in the medicine den, and his ears pricked. Eyes lighting up, he realized, That's it!]
Turning to Birdsong and grinning, he said, "Hold that thought," and bolted over to the Highbranch.
He called out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highbranch for a Clan meeting!"
Staring down, he said, "Spadekit, Birdsong, please step forward."
[Of course...I completely forgot...Spadekit is deserving of a mentor. And Birdsong is deserving of an apprentice. So naturally...
He swished his tail excitedly.]
