Luo walked in a got himself some coffee, LT returned the nod and studied Luo. The man being younger than him by a few years, LT looked up to Luo greatly. They were squad mates a few year back when they were younger, and just thinking about those times were bringing some emotions back. All the fun times, the bad times, the rough times. And the time when they all split up for different duties. Zane became kage, and Luo went on his personal retreat. LT almost seemed to stay put. Yes he was made ANBU captain during that time but that was a secret few knew about. It was sometimes sad being ANBU, no one appreciated what you did because no one knew what you did. LT was sensing Luo was feeling the same way. But he was the Pride of the Mist, if he was feeling down... the entire people would feel the same. LT had to cheer him up... Maybe the Mizukage would send them both on a mission together, like the good ole days when Zane would charge in, and Luo would make the perfect move and kill, and LT always showing up late because no one would wait on him.

As Luo sipped his coffee, his left eye slowly lingered over to LT. Still drinking, Luo grunted, as if he was letting LT know that he could tell he was in deep thought while looking at Luo. He raised an eyebrow slowly before muttering in between sips, "Thank you for the coffee." The only person apart from his elder family members and the Mizukage Luo ever grew to respect was LT. He was sure he didn't show it much, much less say it to him, but he did. Despite Luo's usually calm and reserved nature, he thought of his actions a year ago to be rash. The time between kage's is a very vulnerable time for a village, and in that time, was when Luo disappeared. Yes, it was his plan before he knew of the death of the former Mizukage before Zane, but Luo could never tell whether somewhere deep inside, it was his fear of leading the whole country that caused him to leave for longer than he'd anticipated. It was Tares, that stayed in the village. It was that man, his elder squad mate, who had made sure the village was under constant security. In Luo's eyes, the man had more pride for the mist than Luo's name sake. But it was in this same thought that Luo realized his fear of leading a country was gone. He would never actively chase after the title, but if it fell into his lap, he would gladly lead his people. He then smiled solemnly to himself as he stared out of the window watching the people behind the kage's desk. It was those people that Luo woke up for. And it was them that he now had respect for.

Zane stepped into the Mizukage's office seeing Luo and LT there along with the Mizukage. "Hey...just wanted to let you guys know...I'm taking off now. I think I'm going to head to the Leaf village first. They've taken a lot of damage from Sephiroth's attack and they could probably use the help," Zane told them as he looked at each one of them that were there.
"LT...I rebuilt your shack...sorry for the trouble I caused you. You were the best assistant/nurse/body guard ever. And I'm sure that the Mizukage will appreciate you greatly...I don't know how many times I would have died if it wasn't for you...even your coffee was the best in the shinobi world." He said as he shook the man's hands like equals. Which is how he saw LT as, his equal.
"Luo...don't be mad at me. How do you think I felt when you took off?" Zane pointed out with a sly grin on his face. "While you went off to train, I remained here, stuck in this office as the Mizukage. It's my turn now to see the world and train. You are my brother...and we'll always have each other's backs...wherever...whenever..." Zane grinned. He was going to miss Luo's conversations very much. He was a thinker...while Zane really wasn't, so everytime Luo and him talked, he would always learn something new about the world.
"Hey Matsuya...you were right...and I was wrong. We are not tools of war, we are human. Don't ever forget that...and use that sword to protect the people of the Mist, you got that? And please...don't make too much trouble," Zane chuckled. He was very proud of the way Matsuya had grown from that cocky kid, and was glad for it.
"Cloud...you have so much potential, so much energy and strength. Don't let the demon inside of you take advantage of that. You are stronger than it...and frankly, you may become a better shinobi of ice than I ever could. So strive for that goal, become better than me...surpass me in every way." Zane told him in an attempt to encourage him.
"And Rein," he said. He was not speaking to the Mizukage, but his former chuunin. "You've done many great things for this village. You fight hard and your heart is strong. Don't ever be afraid of your emotions, but act on them. Become a better leader than I ever could be...lead the New Generation into a time of prosperity," Zane said as he bore a huge smile on his face. This was how things needed to be. His mind was at ease, seeing as to the fact that Kiri, was in good hands.

Fordon was happy that his lord had survived but he did not show it outwardly. he needed something but he would wait until this apparent moment had passed.

Rein sighed as he revived the information from Nitoru's clone, his eyes dulling with thought as he mulled over what to do. He was about to speak just when he was cut off by LT's and Lou's conversation, that was when a light bulb came on in his thoughts. "Yes actually I wa-" He began to say before he was once more cut off by Zane, he allowed the former Mizukage to finish his goodbyes. Smiling slightly when Zane spoke to him, it was like old times when he was still Zane's student and number one chuunin yet he could not dwell on old times as he had to work still. "Thank you Zane." Rein muttered softly before he cleared his throat, signaling that he wished to speak. "Now if I could possibly finish a sentence without being interrupted? Thank you. Now then, LT, I wish for you to take Hangman, Cloud and Matsuya as a squad for this mission. Head out to the Rain village at once and lend your skills as shinobi of the bloody mist to the Amekage. It seems that he has entered a bit of trouble with the Cloud village." Rein ordered in a voice that was strong and to the point. "Remain there until I give you further orders, any Cloud shinobi you meet are to be treated as enemies of the Mist and dealt with accordingly." With that Rein turned to Zane with a slight grin on his lips. "While you are at the leaf village you wouldn't mind working out an alliance would you? I cut all of the previous ones that we had and am in the process of rebuilding trust with nations I see worthy. The Leaf is one of those villages, I would greatly appreciate your service on this situation as I may send messages for you in the future for this same job with different villages." After the major problems were dealt with Rein turned his attention to Matsuya. "I understand your request, but I wish for you to prove yourself. If this last mission shows that you can keep control of your emotions and work together as a squad then I will think about your request, LT will give me a full report on your reactions to different situations upon return." Rein sighed softly as he thought about the one thing he wanted to do as well, Rein stood as he formed a few hand-seals. A fully powered clone taking a seat in his place. "Now then. There is one thing I must do for myself. I will return to the village as soon as I can." Rein muttered, sad that he had to leave. But it had to be done. "And Blade, I want you to rest for now. If I remember correctly you were dead for a bit and I imagine your bugs need time to...er...repopulate..." With that Rein vanished in a spray of mist, his clone fully prepared to deal with any political or paperwork style problems for now.

(XD "repopulate" !!!!! that made me laugh. Just think of other things he could of said.)
Matsuya nodded. "Sir." He would do the mission. And it would be his first time to Amegakure. HE walked outside the room, stopping in the doorway. "Tell LT to find me when he's ready to go. He should know where." With that, Matsuya walked down and out of the tower and off towards his place of peace.

Cloud, though he wasn't showing it, was really touched by Zane's words and nods. He was leaning against the wall and he said in a calm voice. "I will Zane, Kirigakure will stand as the greatest. And I will become stronger." He said smiling slightly and he looks at LT and Rein, hearing his mission assignment. So the Hidden Cloud was an enemy village....he will make sure that any enemy of Mist will be dealt with accordingly.

Nitoru's clone stood up. "Thank you. When your squad is assembled, tell them to meet me at the gates. I will lead them in." The clone strode off towards the docks.

Fordon the hangman was now excited. he was getting to go off on a mission and when he got back he had a feeling that there would be time to train. after he was schooled in the silent blade he would then request to go to snow and learn their taijutsu style that he had read about in his masters lab. it was a shame his lord was leaving but he had a feeling that once his time with snow was done the chuunin exams would be close at hand. that would be held at the leaf so he would see him soon enough. maybe then he could ask for pointers at the silent blade style.

Zane still waiting for Luo and LT's response looked at hangman and smiled. "Hey Hangman...make sure you train hard. And please listen to the Mizukage...though he's not your true lord I know...he's still my lord...hence your lord as well..." Zane stated simply to give a new purpose to Hangman.

Luo sighed, turning and staring at Zane. "Hmph," he said as a tiny smile crept across his face. "I see you finally learned how to get back at me verbally. I'll never be mad at you for wanting to see the rest of the countries. It is something every shinobi has to do. But the next time I see you, you will answer the one question you know I've had on my mind since your return." Not being one for physical contact, Luo for his friend only, extended his arm, grabbing Zane in a rather limp one armed hug. He then muttered in his ear, "You're the demon of the mist for a reason. Don't die anywhere but home." He then stepped back quickly, surveying him as their left eyes locked with one another. "I won't always be there to stop you from doing stupid things. So you better use your head." Turning back to the Mizukage as he finished his coffee, Luo sighed. "So I'm assuming there is nothing of me you need right now?"

The clone shook its head, "Sorry Luo, I assumed that you wanted longer of a break so I was going to keep you here to guard the village while we are all out." The clone paused for a moment, "Unless you and LT want to switch places, you leave with the squad while he stays here with the village. Its up to you two though." The clone sighed as it signed a piece of paper, handing it off to a runner that left the office in a burst of speed. "Man I would hate that job..." The clone muttered under its breath, trying to keep a straight face as he watched the runner leave. "I wonder how long it will take until he notices that that paper is blank save for my signature.."
