"If we contact them mundanely, do you think we could convince them we were trying to avoid attracting attention from the Necromantic Shadows and the others in the area?" Renard asked. "It seems everyone but the Blademaster knows we're here."

Fyrin nodded. "Makes more sense. Seems unlikely Sabre and his ilk would have gotten hold of radios or anything, so they'll buy that one. How should we do that, though? Do they have cell phones or anything?"

"Probably. Damned if we have their numbers, though. Or if we don't, of course." Renard gave a wry grin at what he knew was a terrible pun. "But I can feel a ton of them in some building a ways off from here. Let's jack another car and meet up with them," he suggested.

"Where do you want me to go?" Agnese asked whipping the barbie car through traffic at ridiculous speeds. "Is there anywhere we can get to without being caught immediately?" Turning to her backseat passenger she directed the question to him as well. "What about you mister sneaky? Any good hiding places?"

"The airport," Takeshi suddenly gasped. "We need to get to the airport to meet up with the rest of the Cabal and the Hunters we have found ourselves working against Abaddon with." He began racking his mind on how to get two more tickets on this kind of notice.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2008 9:14 pm

"The Airport?" Jacob asked, turning gray.
The last time he had been anywhere near a large establishment with a security system, they were a bunch of people chasing him. The thought of going somewhere were that could happen again made Jacob cringe. But still, if it got him in contact with other members of the Cabal... Jacob would give it all he had.
If Jacob was going to give it all he had, so would Keilven.

>hm...if we were downtown, our usual hideout place should have a couple somewhere...I snagged them off a security guard when we left the Institute.
And they were the good for a year or two type, so if they are there, we have three or four tickets.<

"Hey! I think we might have a couple tickets back at Keilven's hideout!"
Jacob grimaced inwardly at the thought of showing strangers, even though they were Cabal, to the hideout, even though it wasn't much more than a few boards nailed together for shelter in an alley way.

((oh, and I figured out that I would have to enchant the whole vehicle into something that I could trigger, just to put a shield of darkness around us. Sorry about getting that mixed up.))

"How do you have airplane tickets stashed in your hideout? You don't even know where we're going," Takeshi objected.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2008 9:37 pm

"Oh, yeah." Jacob slumped back dejected. Jacob felt as though his chance to prove his worth, or trust to these two Cabal members.

>Let me think. They're to the airport in Seattle I would guess, but I think they were a travel ticket, from one of those companies like Trademark. I think they're good for any airport, but the people at the Institute will know once we use them.<

"Okay, Keilven thinks that they're the coupon like ones, were you say 'Hey, I'm with this company' and so on, and they let you on. But we're not sure, so it's your call Takeshi."
Jacob hoped that it would work. He needed allies, and even more than that, He needed a decent place to stay. Hopefully the Cabal could arrange something like that later.

"Ah, sweet. I already have my ticket, but you two will need yours if you're coming. By the way, Keilven, did I mention that?" Takeshi asked. "We're going to try to slay a demon god. Abaddon. Still with us?" He tilted his head and smiled.

Jacob quickly weighed his options.
A chance to learn more of the magic that Keilven had lost memory of on his trip into the future, or to be stuck in an alleyway, or worse, back in the Institute.

"I'm in, as long as I'm taught enough to have a decent chance of survival."

>Wait! Don't I have My say?< Keilven complained from within Jacob's mind.
Jacob mentally shouted back

"Sounds good," Takeshi replied with a nod. "Tell Agnese how we get there."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2008 10:17 pm

"Agnese, turn left onto Sidney street. It's the one coming up on the left. After that, go about a quarter mile and turn right onto the street with the dead end sign called Fisher. Then the alleyway the stuff is in is only a block from the corner."
Jacob leaned back, feeling relieved that he was able to help in the group, not sit back and watch. While Agnese was driving, Jacob closed his eyes, and was suddenly asleep.

((Okay, I'm off for the evening.))

"I can read," Agnese said quietly and professionally. "And seriously, you people need platinum cards, it's not that hard to buy a ticket at the airport."

Still going at breakneck speeds Agnese whipped the car to and fro at the appropriate parts, occasionally cursing at little old ladies and their stupid little dogs. She did of course slam the breaks on when she came to the correct place.

"I do hope you remembered to buckle up..."

"Okay," Fyrin responded, stepping out into the street. A station wagon slammed on its brakes to avoid him, but was unable to swerve to the side, so eventually it merely stopped. One and Three sauntered over to the driver's door. The driver stared at One's exposed ribs.

"Hey Steve!" Four shouted.

"What?" One, or Steve, responded.

"Tell 'em it's for PETA!"

"That's a good one," Steven responded, opening the door. "Sorry, madam, but we really need your car. PETA will thank you later." Without waiting for a response, he reached in, unbuckled her, pulled her out of the car, climbed into the car, waited the split second it took for everyone else to sprint into the vehicle, then took off.

After a couple minutes, they were approaching the building Renard had identified.

((I'm naming them! scream ))

"As long as you're sure," he said to Joe. After a while, Joe twitched once or twice and finally relaxed. All of his energies were concentrated in the first, third, and fifth chakras as he tried to maintain calm. But he seemed successful, so Siber let it go.
To Paul, he said, "Axis is the singular. You meant axes. Besides that, though, we both experienced something vaguely similar, I think. Did you feel that power spike?" Siber looked somewhere vaguely to his left. The flash had been nearly damaging to his sensitive third eye. "Regardless, I think we should continue with our first goal. We don't need another diversion."
