Mai-lin laughed and played with her hair as she looked at the movies. She wiggled her nose as she tried to pick one. "OK...how about..." She closed her eyes and reached out to pick a movie blindly. "This one." She kept her eyes closed. "If I see it I know I'm going to freak so just put it in." She said to Kei, placing ahand over her eyes.

Anekio sighed, "We could pretend to be a guardian, get you out of here and let you rest in your own acomidations, I heard it actually speeds up the healing process. The most we would have to do is check up on you afterwards." She gave a shrug and closed her eyes with a sigh.

"But... would that work for your plans in keeping Takeshi away? If you don't get him tonight, what then?" Ran mumbled, munching on another snack. "I wouldn't mind getting my fan from Mai-Lin's apartment, and having it with me, but I don't think she'll appreciate me being there any further."

Kei took the movie and put it in, then pushed play. "Okay, it's all set. Do you want some popcorn or anything else to eat? I can go raid the kitchen and grab something."
"I think until Takeshi is captured, which hopefully will be tonight, that Ran should stay here. It is easier to protect her here. After he's caught, we can find somewhere else for you to say." Yuhi said to her. "Um, there is an extra room at my house now, two actually, so you can come stay at my place with me and my brother until we find something more suitable."

"Thanks..." Ran mumbled, then thought of something. "Mai-lin hangs out with Kei a lot, doesn't she?" she paused in her eating, a bit of a frown on her lips. I can always just make sure i'm in view when she's there... If she's even still in Konoha... the Kaguya couldn't help but bite her lip a bit at rememberance of the last time she saw the Inuzuka girl.

"Yeah, Mai-Lin has pretty much attached herself to my brother, though I don't think he minds. He also doesn't have a problem with you, so you wouldn't have to worry about feeling unwelcome." Yuhi finished off the small bag of chips and tossed the empty bag into the trash. He then grabbed a bottle of soda from the other bag and took a few gulps. "I really don't understand why she hates Mist-nins so much. Just because one or a small group did something wrong, it doesn't mean that everyone is bad."

Anekio sighed, "Everybody stereotypes sometimes." She gave a small frown. "Mai-Lin just happens to take it to an extreme. Eventually she'll have to realize that you're not the enemy, the person or people that killed her brother are responsible and deserve her hate."

((This just happened in the other roleplay I have Mai-lin in. Kinda, sad really...))
Mai-lin sat down on the floor and leaned back slightly, holding herself up with her hands as she waited. "I don't need anything...yet. But I might later! You can pick what to eat." She just grinned up at him.

"From what I heard, the person or people that killed her brother are most likely dead. The only person in this village who knows the whole truth would be...Tori. I'm sure the Hokage knows a lot about it, but he only showed up after the slaughter." Yuhi frowned as he looked at Ran. "Did you and Tori know each other?"
Kei nodded and went in to raid the kitchen. Seems she wasn't hungry, he only grabbed a few snack foods. He headed back to the living room but stopped in the doorway, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. He reached into the bag of M&Ms he had and threw a couple at Mai-lin, then ducked back into the kitchen.

Ran thought for a moment, and then gave a slight shrug. "I was rarely ever allowed near the Mizukage, let alone anyone in his family." She murmured. "I don't remember meeting her before, if I did." she munched a little more on her claimed snack.

"That doesn't really mean they are, but I guess they could be." Anekio gave a small shrug, thinking for a moment. "Tori's been having troubles with her memory, but she might remember something, or an item might help her remember. You've been there up 'til recent, Ran, can you think of anything that would set back a memory like that?"

Ran shook her head slightly, then paused. She gave a small frown as she offered her idea. "The only thing I could think of was... to take her back to all the places she used to go to, there..." She murmured, giving a slight cough. "I doubt it's the safest, or even smartest thing to do, though..." She mumbled.

"Well, Tori seems to have a bad habit of not listening. I know that she's going to go meet Takeshi, probably try to convince him to leave without trouble. If she goes back to the Mist and regains her memories....do you think she'll want to come back here? From the way Takeshi talks about her, it sounds like she was treated like a princess there."
The little dragon that had been keeping watch from under the bed, crawled out and up onto the bed. It looked at Yuhi and Anekio before shoving it's head into one of the bags of food. ((hehe, almost forgot about it))
Finally giving in to her stomach, Tori left the tower and headed down the road to get some food. Not feeling like a big meal, she went to the ramen stand and ordered some miso. After she finished and paid the owner, she got up and headed home. I need to pack...and tell father I'm leaving. He's probably going to try and stop me. she thought with a sigh.
Takeshi stood inside his hideout, stretching and testing his body. With a nod, he started towards the door, finally healed enough to finish his mission. Koneko first...Ran later. He looked up at the darkening sky and smiled as he headed down the road towards Konoha.

Mai-lin blinked as she felt the M&Ms hit her. She picked one up that had landed in her lap and looked it over before popping it in her mouth. She picked up the others and stood up. "Come out little Pei-kun." She called as she made her way to the kitchen. "COme on Pei-kun. I won't do anything! Except get you back." She grinned as she picked out one of the M&Ms and flicked it into the kitchen.

"I don't know..." Ran murmured. She looked over to the dragon and gave a sigh- reminded that Takeshi was going to work on getting her to go back, too. She gave a cough into her arm, and then settled back a bit.
