Black_Foxy_Musician92 RinoaHeartilly Black_Foxy_Musician92 Ascend I'm a flutist, too, though I prefer the trombone. ^^;; Sorry! Keltzy, all the flutists in my band are snooty, too. XD They're either pretty asians with boyfriends or guys that are presumed gay. confused HEY scream Im not gay and I play flute....I have a wonderful girlfriend and she is on gaia.... She did say presumed gay. sweatdrop True True. but still, there are guys that play the flute that are not gay No there's not. What the heck are you talking about? You just don't know you're gay yet. Get with the program all ready. Geez! Just kidding. I need to start taking flute lessons again. Has anyone heard of the American Music Abroad? I doubt any of you have, but it's for people in wee lil' ol' souther lancaster county areas of pennsylvania for all that I know of.

Wow, our last show was absolutely horrible. Our director always tapes us, and our flute section doesn't know a curve from a line. -_-;;
Auditions for chairs are also coming up. <-- Nervousness.

XShadowMistressX Wow, our last show was absolutely horrible. Our director always tapes us, and our flute section doesn't know a curve from a line. -_-;;
Auditions for chairs are also coming up. <-- Nervousness. Just take a deep breath and don't worry about it. I also heard that it helps to play the selection slowly before hand to re-familiarize yourself with the notes, rhythm, etc.

Auditions for chairs are also coming up. <-- Nervousness. Auditions for concert band are coming up for us too. x___x Ugh. I hate it. It's so intimidating. For our band, you walk into the choir room and the band directors are sitting on the top-most riser ((we have three directors)) and it's all quiet... then you're here all the way below them with a chair and stand all by yourself. The first time I had to audition I almost burst out laughing for no apparent reason.. I have the tendancy to do those kinds of things when something is serious. xD

Man, I'm so glad we don't do chair tests. blaugh Seriously. I'd like die. I know I'm good, but then I get in front of people and I get all scared. >>;;
We had our first concert Thursday. Oh man. I tripped on the way to get my music from the jazz band, in front of the entire audience and all the bands. It was so embarrassing. Kinda funny, though. XD

XD Yeah, I hate playing in front of people. It really depends on the circumstances though. Like challenges for example, I loved those. The last time I had em' were in 8th grade though because in varsity concert band in 9th Hoffman wouldn't let us do challenges. No one ever beat me though in 8th. =D I never challenged the person in front of me though. Chicken, I guess. xD I dropped all the music on my stand last year in front of an elementary school. I sit on the edge closest to the audience too, and the kids were sitting WAY too close. They were like within 2 yards of me. It was scary. They stare at you and your instrument all googly eyed like "OooooOOooo shiiiinyyyyy" o.o;;
