Motterossa was no Katarina. That was clear from the outset. Small and chilly, the mountain hideaway was little more than a village to Ridley's city-bred eyes. Still, he was glad to be back in civilized territory. While the rest of the party dispersed to have a look at the city, he hung back. He was tired, of course, and his rump was sore again, but he wasn't quite sure where to go. The sparsely populated town could hardly hold his attention for long, he thought, but at least they were out the wilds.
They had quite a long time for a break, it seemed. He'd have to figure something out before it got too late.

Kayla was wandering around the city trying to find a hotel to stay in when she saw someone familiar from the wagon three. It was Ridley. Finally a familiar face. Kayla waved her hand in the air to try to catch his attention.
"Hey! Hey Ridley!" Adira who was still walking beside her, narrowed her eyes as she spotted the guy from the wagon. She still did not like the guy. There was something not right but she could quite put her claw on it.

Liam exited the small, family owned pokemart, giving a polite wave and a promise that he would tell his second cousin Joy they said hello as he stepped out into the chill. He had a small brown bag tucked under his arm, as well as a cup of warm cider in one hand -- courtesy of the friendly family -- which he was quite thankful for. It was much chillier in Motterossa than it had been on the sunny trail.
Glancing up at the starry sky, the healer shivered privately to himself. He was about to head back towards the wagons when he caught sight of Kayla calling out to Ridley. His boots coming to a crunching halt on the slightly stiff grass, he came to a halt, watching for a moment before giving a sigh, sitting down where he was and leaning against the building behind him, sipping from the mug they had refused to let him buy.

"Oh hey, Kayla!" Ridley blinked, waving back when he caught sight of Kayla, grinning. He tried not to look at Adira. Darn suspicious Pogey! Coming towards her, he winked, cheerful. "What have you been up to this whole time?" he asked curiously. He saw Liam out of the corner of his eye and waved him over.
"We should probably find a place to sleep, huh?"

Kayla was walking towards Ridley when she noticed from the corner of her eye, Liam coming out of a pokemart and headed for the wagons as well. "Well hey there!" Kayla smiled at Liam as well.

Liam ignored the wave and the call, pretending to be too engrossed in resting and warming himself to notice them. Instead, he turned his attention elsewhere, tilting his head slightly to the side to admire some of the baked goods in a window a few shops away. Let them flirt.

"Oh. I have been all over town to find a place where they could fix my sunglasses and after an hour of walking in circles, I found one who fixed it as if it was brand new." Kayla was quite happy about that. "Then I had some lunch earlier and I went to get my supplies stocked up. Other then that, I didn't do much else. Oh, I got some ice cream though. Pretty good too."
Kayla sighed in contentment as she remembered the lovely taste of her ice cream combo.

"That's great," Ridley smiled. "Those sunglasses are pretty important to you huh?" he cocked his head. At the mention of food, however, Ridley suddenly realized he hadn't had a single thing to eat all day. His stomach complained loudly.
"Man, I'm starving," Ridley groaned. He looked hopefully towards Liam, but the Healer was looking away from them and hadn't seen his wave. Frowning, he glanced at Kayla. "I think I'm gonna go look for some real food to eat, none of that refrigerated stuff," he started to look around for any restaurants. "Hope they're not all closed at this hour..."

Laying on the bed in such a spacious room, was Cassadaine Stephens, the rookie trainer who'd wandered all the way from Kanto and ended up in Zatao. The very same rookie trainer with an overly hyper sentret that was practically bouncing off the walls and begging her to go out. The very same one with a brother who had joined Team Rocket back in Kanto, a brother who'd just popped up out of the blue and paid for her room....and ended up getting slapped in thanks.
Oh yes...all in this rookie was just doing wonderful today. Sighing she shook her head and rolled out of bed with a fustrated sound. "Alright Astrel, come on let's go. I need to get some supplies anyway." she said grabbing her small bag and swinging it over her shoulder and stuffing the room key in it. Opening the door, she let the sentret rush past her, before following slowly shutting the door behind her.
Her brother would still be out and about no doubt but for now she would ignore that little fact and try at the very least to be happy and explore the place.
Once Cassadaine was outside she let the hyper sentret lead her toward wherever he wanted to go. Which was either a hidden berry bush somewhere...or a bakery which no doubt held something sweet that only the sentret could smell since he was making a beeline for the place with his weary trainer in tow.

Kayla glanced at Liam for a moment, wondering why he didn't hear them but she just shrugged it off. Maybe he had headphones on or something. Kayla turned back to Ridley. "Yeah they are. My mother passed away a couple years ago and this was the only thing I could keep with me that wouldn't hinder me in my journey." It was still a difficult topic to think about but she tried to not let it get to her. Her mother wouldn't want her to be fixated on her death and not enjoy life.
It was then when Kayla heard Ridley's growling stomach and laughed lightly. "I can see that you are hungry. I am getting hungry myself." Looking around, Kayla noticed a resturant nearby. "Hey there's few that looks like it's still open." Looking at Ridley. "What is your fix? Chinese? Italian?"

"Oh... I'm sorry about your mother," Ridley said awkwardly. It was difficult to deal with that sort of thing, much less talk about it politely in conversation. He was grateful when the conversation turned to food, flushing when she laughed at him. The Rocket was easily embarrassed, apparently.
"...Italian? Chinese? Eh?" he blinked. "I was thinking some place that sells Kanto-style food... Sinnoh region preparations always make me a little ill," Ridley started to head towards the least rustic looking restaurant, smiling at Kayla sheepishly.

Kayla tilted her head a bit at a type of food she had never tried before. "Huh. I never had Kanto-style food before but sure. Mind you, you will have to help me pick out something good. Otherwise, I will hold you responisble for my upset stomach." Kayla mock-glared at Ridley before following Ridley to the more rustic restaurant.
