The scientist charged Rook one last time, leaping over tables with the grace of a feline. At the last second she rolled out of the way, grabbing the prototype blaster and coming to a kneeling position. Without hesitation she jammed the stock of the rifle into her shoulder, aimed, and shot twice more into his chest.

The high-powered blasts tore holes clean through his torso, and yet he still kept coming. Kira adjusted her aim slightly and shot him in the head at point-blank range. He finally crumpled to the floor...

...and this time he didn't get up.

Volgen laughed as he shook his head.

" You can't blame me for trying. This operation you got going has to be well funded. As for the payment up front... Nakara does not need protection unless its some thing he can't handle alone. Simply saying I could be killed. I accept the Forty on heads. Ill get repairs and more with that. But what is it you can give me that would tide my uneasy feeling? "

Volgen didn't watch as the slave died. Death was the end, it gained him nothing to watch him die.

"I can blame you for trying. Afterall, many organic women are constantly joked about their doing so," Nubyl muttered with a grin across her face, as she led the way across the bridge into the next room, which was a laboratory filled to the brim with gadgets.

"You are to be equipted with some weaponry. First, these," Nubyl said, holding up a small disk about the size of a quarter in her hand. "These are drone spiderbots. They have proven effective at providing distractions, demolishing smaller barriers, and other such obstacles."

Tossing the drone, a small laser pointer went from her finger and guided it along, before having it crawl up the door and explode with a significant force.

"They have electrical stun and explosive capability, and can be controlled using your visor interface. I'm sure that you'll find more creative ways to use them. I would imagine they would make quite a nice toy against guards, though we dont' seem to have many volunteers to test that option out."

Nubyl held up a bracelet of the bots, all wrapped up against each other. "Estimated price, thirty thousand credits. Moving on." She quickly stepped over to the next table, where a dodecahedron sat very cautiously.

"This is a palan box. It's contents are effectively a hundred times greater than the small bots you saw before. A thousand nanobots exist inside this device, able to turn into a swarm that will infest and crawl into any biological or robotic sentient that is within twenty yards, and disassemble it. For organics, it's rather painful to watch," she flatly stated, recalling the numerous geysers of blood that shot from the victims during the drilling. "It should prove useful in case of armored opponents. It's also great against force users, though the dark swarm can prove to be an obvious sign of activation. It is completely indiscriminate towards targets, so you can be killed too. Will that suffice your tastes?"

" ... I think I was just insulted. " Voglen laughed without much effort.

He walked along following Nubyl. As the disk whizzed by his head he didnt move. The blast caused his hair to blow forward. He shook as his hair went back.

" I could use that... " He walked by snatching it from the table.

He looked at the box as Nubyl explained.

" Hold the phone. Its a one time use of killer nanites. I hear you borg... I mean Iskalloni... have form fitting nanites. " He smiled.

" Or is that just some tall tail? " He hoped it was not.

Nubyl gave a stern look. "Your efficiency cannot suffer so soon to such a mission. Not to mention, I doubt you want to be shaved."

~~~~~~~
(gah, writer's block)
Durge stared back. All this taung did was nag, nag, nag. She kept dancing around like a bird, incapable of getting in close. Durge just gave a chuckle to himself at the thought. Too bad she was too scared to get in range, but there was only so many rounds she could fire before she ran dry. He just needed to press the attack. Clenching his legs, he darted to the side, flipping the platform up as he moved, before grabbing it in mid air and chucking it her way. He grimaced as a bit of the water sparked on his armor. How annoying...
~~~~~~~

Ritt gave a pout, but he couldn't really say otherwise.

"Well boys?" he asked, as everyone looked around. They were just itching to come up with something worthwhile. "I'd say the incredible thunk here needs a short, sweet name to remind her of scratching her paint job."

"Viper! Or better yet, Six!" Pagan said, chuckling. Ritt's brow furrowed.

"Try not to call my padawan the village idiot or a very idiotic person, and we're not calling her 'craft' or Dash either. I should have renamed you that."

"Nosa," Reverend answered. "It's neutral, and the boys get their joke." Ritt looked on, giving a sigh.

"Works for me."

" Heh, I guess your right. " Volgen grabbed the box and put it under his arm.

" If Nakara wishes me to protect him, protect him I shall. When do we start? " Volgen said as his eye twitched and sent a command to PR1M3 to return.

“NoSA? You’re giving me the call sign Nosa?” Aurora smirked and raised one eyebrow as she looked at Reverend. “You definitely are gifted with words Rev. It’s better than viper or six that’s for sure.” She tilted her head and aimed her finger at Pagan. “I wouldn’t know if you were talking to me or if some bandit’s about to flame your butt Pagan.” She shot Pagan with her finger then blow the imaginary smoke from the tip of her finger and smiled slyly at him. Before turning back to Reverend. “But I hope you’re not trying to say something bad about my flying are you Rev?”

"Miss Aurora, I would remind you that you were the only one to scratch your fighter today. If anyone has had poor judgement, it would be upon your shoulders," Reverend began, as polite as he could. "I'm not trying to call you stupid, nor an idiot. I'm merely remarking upon what happened today. NoSA. It's an acronym. It means No SA. No Situational Awareness. It is not saying anything bad; rather, it's exactly what happened. Do something that sticks in our minds better, and we'll change the call sign. Until then, consider this a friendly reminder and a lesson to watch where you're going."

Ritt held his own mouth shut, his head somewhat drooping in shame for not doing it sooner.

"Well," he finally said, "one for one. Since you're now part of the squadron, you can suggest what we'll call ourselves too. The 510th is pretty much dissolved, and we'll need something to go by more than just a number. So what do you think?"

Aurora was relived that someone had finally said it, and a little disappointed that it was by Reverend and not Ritt, for she had been the only one to make a mistake and damage one of the new starfighters. She brushed the feelings aside for she knew she had pushed the edge of the envelope just a little too far today and things could have turned out much, much worse. She dipped her eyes to the deck plates as she digested Reverend’s words of wisdom.
“Yes Reverend, I understand that I went a little wild out there and that it could have been worse. I have no excuse and can only offer my apologies. I will endeavor to do better in the future and master this machine.” Her light blue eyes held the look of steel, reinforcing her desire to excel as a fighter pilot.

“A squadron name? Um, well what about pulling ideas out of a helmet and then voting on it?” She suggested with a shrug of her flight suited shoulders.

" All funds transfered Master. " Gray said over the comms. PR1M3 landed as the docking clamps locked into place.

" Right... " Volgen shifted his new toys to is other side and continued to wait for Nubyl.

Nol dropped down as the slab flew through the air, over her head. She spied the sparking of water off the cyborg's armor and a few new options came into play.
Nonetheless, she kept those up her sleave for now and resumed firing blaster bolts at Durge.

This blasted woman seemed to have so much ammunition, durge had slightly regretted having taken so little. While she kept dodging around him, he had little option but to go around and around. He had yet to connect with anything on her, as he began to curse the cybernetics for not accurately projecting anything. Leaping up over the bolts, he activated his gatling gauntlet to spray spikes at the mando, hoping for some connection with the shotgun pattern.

Up in the stands, Nakara gave word to summon Sonya up, he getting bored at the lacking fight in the arena.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We do not start at all, Volgen. You, however, begin immediately. Nakara probably will send an emissary to greet you if he isn't completed with everything himself. I would expect that a prompt departure would be in your best interests," Nubyl warned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Chaos rarely is fair," Ritt began. "It only is random, and blind to everything. Which is why we're letting you pick, because we trust your decision."

" Hrmm. Well I guess you know best. " Volgen turned and walked back the way he came. Getting to the door he bolted down the hall. Jumping onto the wall his claws clung and trusted him forward. He bounded back and forth along the walls till he came back to the landed pad. He jumped down slowing to a brisk jog. The door to PR1M3 opened and he jumped in. Closing he looked back and smiled.

" This is going to be the death of me... Lets get the hell out of here. " Volgen said into his comm to Gray. The ship detached and blasted off.

On the bridge Gray waited for Volgen. As he entered he handed him a data pad.

" Whats this? "

" Our earnings and supply needs. " Gray smiled.

" Well well, nice little bounty of goods here. Lets get those guns from Broges. He will love that I can buy them out right this time. " Volgen said sitting down and pulling out his pipe. He stuffed some thing in and lit it. He puffed for a moment and motioned for them to go to warp.

Sonya stared at the ground. She was beaten by some mercinary. Chased around the ring, it made her so angry. all the training? Wasted. Her reputation? Shattered.

"It makes me so angry!" she said, giving a push with the force, denting the wall beside her. She sat and stared at the ground. Sulking was about all she seemed capable of doing.

"The master seeks to converse with you," a droid stated. Sonya gave a scowl, and followed it upstairs.

Jakar emerged from the refresher that was built into the room he had been given and wrapped a towel around his waist. The place was like a small apartment, which suited him just fine. It was larger than the room he had in the Jedi Temple, and even had a HoloNet viewer. Jakar activated the vidscreen which immediately tuned to the planetary news.

As he watched the local goings-on, Jakar began to think about life as a Sith. Despite what he had been taught in his training, Marr seemed to be quite level-headed. He may be somewhat haughty, but was apparently followed by his people with zeal and belief in a cause. Jakar still hadn't been able to discover if the Sith man had an ulterior motive to his plans, if there were any.

Regardless, Jakar saw some promise in becoming a Sith. He was seventeen standard years-old, with a decent amount of training in the Force from the Jedi, so he already had a jump. All Jakar needed to do was to learn the Sith powers to a greater extent, but also learn to control the lust for power that so many Sith suffered from.

It'd be difficult, but Jakar was up to the task.
