Daniel looked up at Aideen sniffling lightly before he freaked out and backed away from her until his back was to the wall. He wiped away the snot from his nose with the sleeve of his robes and looked away blushing heavily. "I'm fine...th- thanks..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Double teamed." Jake corrected then shrugged. "Or tag teamed. They both work." He took his hand away after the shake before looking around again to get his bearings. "Well, she said she was going there but I didn't know if she had some other hang out spot she may have gone off to. Alright, well..thanks." The Slytherin said as he walked off, waving to the trio with his back to them.
Draco waved goodbye as Jake walked away. "It was great to meet you!" HE said with a smile. "He seems nice."
Yes he does" Raven said nodding in agreement.
((sorry it's short I'm at work and my berak's over!))
Red and Silver Death
Christopher sighed as he sat down in a plush chair in the Ravenclaw Common room.
"Agh, this school is so boring. Maybe that Jillian girl will make this year more...interesting..." the young German muttered to himself.
"Perhaps I should present her to him...or maybe she already....hmph I will need to ask her."
Christopher left the Common Room to go seek out the girl he had ran into earlier. If he saw right, she was walking towards Transfiguration.
Jillian walked around the corner, and headed towards Transfiguration. After walking alone for several minutes, she rounded another corner, and bumped directly into Carina. "Hey it's great to see you, are you guys headed to class? How have you all been?" She said hugging both Carina and Raven.
Raven smiled. "Yes, I think we were just about to head in the general direction, is that right, Carina?" she asked looking at her best friend. She knew that Carina wanted to find Neville before class started.
((Sorry it's been a while since I last posted. Research papers and the ilk.))
Aideen stood up and adjusted her robes, more out of nervousness than vanity. She looked down at Daniel as he sat huddled against the wall; she didn't want to draw attention to what could be perceived as an unmanly moment by questioning him about it. Better to let well enough alone. Aideen took a step closer to Daniel and said, "Come on. We better take you to the infirmary. That was a right nasty knock you took to your head and you just might have a concussion. " Aideen paused and looked away, "I'll... I'll walk with you, Daniel. That is...if...if you want me to." When Aideen turned around to face Daniel again and to extended her hand toward him as a caring gesture, her face blushed a bright red.
Daniel wiped away the tears the best he could before looking at her hand. The words of the demon inside him echoed in his ears and he hesitated a bit. Then he heard Jake's voice. Not the Demon's...Jake's real voice coming from down the hall somewhere.
"C'mon guys. I'm serious. I need help finding the Astronomy Tower."
The Gryffindor felt his worries disperse and he refocused on Aideen's hand before taking it. He stood up, wobbling a bit from the hit to the head but stayed steady by hanging on to his housemate's hand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just down the hall Jake couldn't believe his luck.
He'd been here for...this was his seventh year. He must have been the only student to have had a stay in Hogwarts longer than Harry Potter, for Jake truly had no place to go.
And he was lost.

He passed by a group of Ravenclaws and he stopped them. "Can you girls tell me where the Astronomy Tower is?"

The group of four looked at each other. They knew Jake well, knew that he was a seventh year and they scoffed a little. "Come now first year. You must know where your classes are by now."

Jake glared at them and watched them giggle at their little joke. "That's not funny..."

That little bit of dialogue along with his glare added to their giggles and one even started to tear a little.

"C'mon guys. I'm serious. I need help finding the Astronomy Tower." He said, a bit louder than he should have as other students really took an interest and stopped to see what was going on. Jake slouched a bit under all this attention and threw up his hands in defeat. "Screw it! Thanks for nothing..."

Aideen tried to hide the large smile that spread across her face in unison with the butterflies that filled her stomach when Daniel's hand touched hers. As soon as Daniel rose she placed the voice that she had heard yell out seeking assistance in finding the Astronomy Tower. That's Jake Defi, Aideen realized. Aideen didn't trust most Slytherins nor did she help them simply because she knew that a good portion of them had something to do with the Dark Lord, and she didn't want to risk anything happing to herself or her parents if she could prevent it. However, Aideen knew that Jake and Daniel were very good friends, and she decided to assist Jake in his quest because she thought that not only would being nice to Daniel's friends put her even more in his good graces, but two, the Astronomy Tower was on their way to the infirmary anyway and she might need help if Daniel were to pass out again. He did look a bit wobbly as he got up, she thought.
As Aideen began to pull Daniel toward Jake's voice and away from the hospital she said "I hope you don't mind Daniel, but I thought that maybe on our way to taking you to the infirmary we could show Jake to the Astronomy Tower since it is on the way. And also, he might be a help to have along if you do happen to pass out again, because I doubt that I'm strong enough to catch you, and you don't need to be bumping your head again. I mean....I thought that since you two were quite good friends that this would be a good idea. Of course, we don't have to do that," Aideen blushed here, "It was just a silly though."

Daniel began to panic again. He didn't know what to do. On the one hand he did want Jake to be present, not for comfort but for support knowing full well Jake could drag him up to the Infirmary with no problems at all.
But on the other hand he wanted to be alone with Aideen...no matter how awkward it may seem.

Then there was that voice. His words echoed in his head while he was conscience, he didn't want to go to sleep now. "Perhaps...we should go without Jake. He seems to have enough problem as is." He answered, unknowingly still holding on to Aideen's hand with his as if it were a natural thing to do.

Anna-Marie looked at Tommy expectantly. She had replied to the boy, but he hadn't spoken yet. She bit her lip and furrowed her brow. Had he frozen up like he had the last time he had tried to speak to her. It seemed like a complete possibility.

Carina shrugged in response to Draco's and Raven's comments. She personally thought the two had to work on keeping their mouth's shut. First Raven mentioned that she had a boyfriend, and all the Slytherins could hear and wonder who. Then, Draco mentioned hexing Crabbe and Goyle with Cam. It didn't make any sense out of their little group. Jake was not part of their groups. .

Jake didn't much care for groups. Not here anyway. Everyone so prim and proper, speaking their...British accents. For some reason he longed to be amongst the American crowd again. Maybe it was just a sudden flare of being home-sick. Or land-sick or whatever.

Not caring for groups wasn't entirely true. There was a war going on in which the Muggles are being pulled into as well. He had to choose sides and because of the robes he wore everyone thought of him as a Dark Lord follower. A bad guy.
But just because you're a Slytherin doesn't mean you HAVE to serve Voldemort.
Just because you're Russian doesn't make you a Communist.
Just because you're an Arab doesn't make you a Muslim.
Just because you're American doesn't make you rich and high and mighty.
You chose your own sides and right now, Jake was leaning towards Harry Potter's side.

Not one for unneeded torture and such it was the choice he would naturally make. But for now he would save it for later. For now he would be a menace to everyone who wasn't in his circle of protection.

Jake shook the thoughts out of his head as he reached the infirmary and suddenly remembered where he was headed. Quickly he ascended the stairs and entered the Astrology Classroom.

"Alright, that's fine," Aideen said smiling at Daniel. "Besides, we probably shouldn't dilly-dally with getting you to the infirmary anyway. You did hit your head pretty hard." Aideen noticed that Daniel was a bit nervous; I probably worried him by saying that I didn't think I would be able to catch him. Maybe a joke will calm him down and fix the awkwardness. "Don't worry, boy-o," Aideen said smiling, trying to calm Daniel's nerves, "if you do pass out again, I'll drag you the rest of they way to the infirmary like a sack o' potatoes." Aideen glanced at Daniel once more before she began walking towards the infirmary. After a few steps Aideen noticed that her hand was still in Daniel's. She gasped and her hand went limp; Aideen gave an awkward smile to Daniel. "Sorry about that," she said, not remembering to remove her hand from his.

Daniel laughed at her joke starting to feel better as they walked along. He smiled to her feeling his worries lift, and he kept his hand wrapped around Aideen's even after it went limp. It was like his new teddy bear for walking with her. He wasn't going to let it go, it felt too comfortable. Too right.

The Gryffindor did eventually let go though, his shyness coming back when he realized her hand was no longer clutching onto his.

Raven caught Carina's vibe, and gave her a quick, appologetic glance. "Jillian, you wouldn't mind saving our seats would you? We have to make pit stop before we get there, and we still have fifteen minutes." Raven smiled, hugging the Hufflepuff happily.

Jillian smiled. "Of course. Not a problem. I'll see you guys there." She said hugging Raven, and Draco before walking off.

((I was kinda hoping that Jillian would at least know the girls in the group, seeing as she's a hufflepuff, and "Has a class" with them. She can however be new to anyone else. It would make her, and other rpc's, transition into the rp a little smoother. idk *shrug*))

Aideen was rather glad that Daniel found her joke amusing. It helped ease the awkwardness a little, until she noticed that they were no longer holding hands. Were we really holding hands, she wondered as they neared the infirmary. Aideen was so enveloped with her thoughts that she didn't see Madam Pomfrey when she and Daniel entered the infirmary and almost ran into her. "Oh! I'm so sorry Madam Pomfrey!" Aideen yelped.

"That's quite alright dear," Pomfrey said. She was so used to students coming in and out of the infirmary that this wasn't out of the ordinary. "What seems to be the matter Aideen?"

"Well Madam Pomfrey, it's not me. I'm quite fine actually," Aideen said matter-of-factly. "It's actually Daniel. You see, I brought him here because he hit his head and then blacked out. I wans't quite sure if he had a concussion or not and I figured that it'd be best if he came to see you." Aideen stood there waiting for Pomfrey to speak.

Daniel stayed behind Aideen as if he were a little child visiting the doctor for the first time. Only when his house mate described his injuries did he step out from behind her with his hands to his side and his head bowed as if in shame.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Devin pounded the wall with a fist angry with himself for having taken a punishment from McGonnagal without a fight. He gritted his teeth and screamed angrily as he continue to pound the wall until his fists were bleeding.
But even the pain didn't subside his angers, and his confusion. He shouldn't have to be afraid of the Gryffindor b***h. It should be the other way around. And here he was having to go to detention.
His foot launched out and connected with the wall but did so in a wrong way, and he resisted a yell of pain as he hopped around on his other foot, right outside the class Jillian was headed towards.
