Taigaa-tono Well, can't say I didn't see that coming, but I do have a response to it; not my damn fault no one else tries to write stories about their RPCs. =D /incorrect Madam. Sakuya and Blake both have epic back-stories that tie in to actual historical events and people. However since no one cared to read them (and a couple people stated that fact), I don't care to go into detail with their pasts in the actual rp. /shun~

Why can't you talk about Bleach 98? eek
I'd like to hear Sakuya's and Blake's back stories! -firm nod- I like hearing about people's pasts because it adds character. 3nodding

I'm definitely referring to making a central part of an arc focused on their RPC. Like for instance, Yuki's pregnancy, Tsukiko's/Elisia's wedding, or Hei's law breaking, none of which can be found in their Bio's prior to it happening- even with past events that are reflected on. Writing out a long-a** Bio is not the same thing~
On the other hand, you know if you built it up during the RP, I'd be more likely to go back and read the bio out of sheer curiosity. X3

It was a crappy guild near the end, I guess.
And I think my backstories are always simple.. I could do better, but I'd have to take a little time~

Taigaa-tono And on whose authority do you base that statement, madam?

I disagree with that as well. It's not that no one else tries to move their characters closer to the spotlight, it's that they tend to be pushed out and overshadowed by yours since you are the one who is developing the main storyline for the rp itself. For instance: Lee/Eriko/Nu Love Triangle, Nu avoiding Kyo, Kyo's obsession with not disappointing people, Tadashi trying to cope with his lack of control during combat, Sakuya and Neida's rivalry, all of these and more are prime examples of character development that people are attempting to make, but because whatever is revolving around the Hakase family is usually part of the main arc as well (not because you want it to, but because you and by proxy Anna always know what is going to happen eons before anyone else), they tend to get overshadowed/ignored and relegated to a position as a failed side story.
Here's a fun fact btw: Sakuya technically never died. She merely transformed from a human into a vasto lorde (after which she retreated to Hueco Mundo on instinct) then later an arrancar. I'm still not sure where that puts her, but by all technicalities she's still very very alive. Not sure if I should make that have any bearing on anything or not. xd

Again, that's not what I meant. I mean for the member himself/herself to MAKE their RPC a central part of the Main Arcs. I don't mean some subtle attempt at pushing development through (which I don't think fails as a side-story considering I and many others still recognize it as occurring and still integrate it into the story), I mean jumping the gun and going, "Hey Taigaa, let me do this thing where Lee accidentally finds a magic box, and when he opens it, he turns into a dragon fairy that kills Nu, and it's irreversible and he has to be killed and stuff."
Obviously that's not focusing around Hei or [insert Walker RPC here] and the only way I could turn that around would be is if said RPC gained a God power and used it to kill fairy dragon Lee. And even then, the focus would be on Lee.
Like that... I have a penchant for Hei being flashy and whatnot, not trying to steal the entire spot light.
Also, more often than not, something that gets "pushed aside" is because the member got busy or quit or something. Not sure how to explain that better, but eh...

Ok I get what you're saying, but by the same token you're still missing my point as well: Because you and Anna already know what is going to happen when and in what order you have the opportunity to adapt your characters to the situation before anyone else does, it's not a matter of you trying to steal the spotlight on purpose it's just a side-effect of you having the knowledge of what's going to happen for the most part before anyone else does. So when the arc hits, your chars are the ones that push the story towards the pre-determined plot points because everyone else is merely being reactionary to these budding plot points. Basically in order for someone else to be central, they would have to either know what is coming like you do, there would be no overall plot and the rp takes a whatever happens happens story setup, or someone starts a side plot then pushes it into the spotlight through subtle escalation, ex:Kyo's suicide on the roof of the 8th Division. However, most of the subtle side plots die off before they can bloom into something significant as they tend to fall by the wayside to the ever-more-looming Main Arc.
Anywho I must depart. My mom needs me to go to her place and watch my little brother tomorrow. >.<

I thought I already gave a lot of plot points away for the arcs as they come up. I only keep a few things to myself, really, since I tell Dante and a few others just about everything I'm planning.
Oh well... Help me next time?
