You know you're a band geek when you download songs you need to learn by heart (like a march or something) and play it on loop for several hours

You know you're a band geek when you start to count your steps down the hall.

Unfortunatly true. During Marching season, I get into a bad habit of counting my steps. xD

Sorry if these have already been posted, but I just came up with them last night.

When you can play your fight song on any instrument, even backwards, but you don't know any of the words.

You'll speed ninety to nothing home to grab anything band related that you forgot.

"Push in" and "Pull out" are phrases you hear on a regular basis and are in no ways perverted or sexual to you.

If you fall over, you make sure you hit the ground first to save your instrument.

When you start reffering to marching band as a cult instead of a class, and the head drum major is the cult leader.

You have a lock-in in your band room after band camp (guilty as charged!).

You'll show up to rehersal half an hour early just to make sure you're on time.

You've had to do the limbo under a passing trombone.

If there are two band classes listed, you make sure you're in both of them.

You don't want to be buried in a cemetary, you want to be buried on the practice feild.

You've ran over more than one judge in competition, and you're damn proud of it.

You hear Dr. Beat in your sleep.

You are able to go out on the field by yourself and play/march a show from three years ago.

You'll remember your very first marching show on your deathbed.

You can't listen to 'Pirates of the Carribean' without thinking of sets to go with it.

You start tapping out the cadence on the nearest surface, even if it's a stranger's shoulder.

You've used a roll step to keep things from spilling.

You'll march out in the middle of a thunderstorm, even if you're a tuba.

You play a note or chord, you recognize it from a hit song, then become obsessed with trying to learn the rest of it.

You've given serious consideration to moving your matress into the band closet.

Half of the people who show up to the football games are band parents.

You fantasize of bringing an AK-47 to competitions, that way you can shoot the judge that docked a point off you.

You wear your band shirt on a regular basis.

You want to kill anybody that says "This One Time at Band Camp" who isn't in band.

When you're walking next to someone out of step, then you immediatley stutterstep to get in step with them.

When you have 'Midnight Serenades', where you gather all of the band members on buses and drive to your band director's house to play in the middle of the night.

You know you're a band geek when you're part of a forum and post band geek jokes. (guilty..)

you know your a band geek when you figure out how to play somewhere over the rainbow on your first day playing tenor sax.(my first reed instrument...i'm a beast =D and i've never played it on any other instrument)
you know your a band geek when you throw a fit because you cant play tuba (guilty)lol
you know your a band geek when during marching band, you listen to your drumline part so much, you could learn the quads (guilty)
you know your a band geek when in that drumline, during a competition, you try to say words backwards (how do you say sticks backwards... sk...skci...skcits?)

i'm a band geek by association the whole way...hopefully becoming a real one next year!

..When you figure out how to play 'Crazy Train' on you're Flute ( So Guilty..)

..When you look FORWARD to Band Camp in the summer

...When you see you're section more than your own family ( Seriously. .___.)

...When you count off in concert band. ( xD; We say Dut Dut before we play so we have a REALLY bad habit of bringing that into concert season)

...When you WILLINGLY wear your marching shoes...

...When you try to dress down the lunch lines (xD SO MUCH FUN)

...When you and your boyfriend argue about being in step with each other ( xD; I'm dating a Euphonium player and we also have silly funny fights about how we can't keep stride with each other. )

...When you come an hour early to every band meeting just to hand out in the band hall. ( Guilty..)

...When the wall paper on your cell phone is a picture of your music...( GUILTY)
