Malik nodded firmly, turning to begin back towards the grasslands, "Was a few weeks ago, ya? I tried tah go afta mah bruddah an' the red lion, ran for long time... don't know how long I was out but da heat an' mah bruises got tah me after 'while n' when I came back 'round I was back in da pride lands... took a few days tah even get someone tah listen tah me... I'm biggah now." He looked over himself, frowning deeply. He'd not been able to protect them, even for being the brute that he was in size he had failed Azeze, "I dun t'ink dat dis is da last time 'ell be 'round, no? Mah pap speaks bad 'bout dem from da desert, says th' new leader's all blood thirsty n' all dat. Shame, I wanted tah visit n' kinda get in touch wit mah roots."
The large male made his way to a boulder overlooking what once had been a small collection of water in a ditch. It was shockingly close to pride rock itself, still protected in the shadow of the great ledge, "Dis is where we was playin'. 'E was on toppa da rock n' I was right over 'ere where you're standin." He motioned to a spot beside him, "Da red lion came from outta no where an' ran off in dat direction." He nodded forward towards where, eventually, the boarders would be.
"'E 'ad a black 'n white mane, dark red- not as dark as mah bruddah but darker den mah pop... 'e looked a bit old too. Maybe older den mah pap..." He took a deep breath, "Uncle Muf, I wanna go wit da huntin' party n' find mah bruddah... I let 'em go, I wanna get 'em back an give dat brute a bit of pride lander hospitality mah way."

Mchele nodded his understanding of Mufasa's order. "Follow your tracks with the others, right." He repeated to set it in his mind and without another word turned to go back to the other lions and lioness who seemed unaware of events.
It was a little daunting approaching the queen. He hadn't worried too much when he was very very young and first introduced to her, but he'd been very young then. Over the seasons he'd grown and realised just what position she held in the pride and what respect she warrented.
But this was no time to be nervous, a cub was in danger! Stepping quickly through the other lions, he took a breath and raised his voice. "Sarabi, Mufasa gone with one of the cubs to the Firekin boarder. The cub's brother has been taken by one of their males. He asked me to gather anyone willing to join the rescue and follow his tracks."

Sarabi had watched the conversation from a distance and now her eyes widened as she hauled her frail body to its paws. "Yes! We must gather everyone... Kamilika!" The Queen caught the flash of gold from the corner of her eye, turning to see her daughter sneeking off with her friend. "Kami, come here! I'll need your help to gather the pride, and this is as good a time as any for you to get some expirience. Kijito?" She turned to her other child, making sure he was still there. "You shall help to. I can't gather them on my own."

Ta returned the soft smile before his ears sharply fell. The queen's calling for the princess sent a sorrow covered mask to cross his face. Turning away before the princess could catch sight of it, he let his soon-to-be mane cover his eyes.
"You should go Kami...it isn't wise for your mother to be left waiting...don't worry..." He collected himself and sent her a shakey smile, "I can entertain myself for now."

Ezeoha would be unable to aid in this rescue mission, but he inconviently showed up at the wrong time. The cub hopped up onto Pride Rock, his jewelry clanging noisly together and shining underneath the sunlight in an annoying matter. But the overall effect made it seem as if the cub believed he had some major purpose in the pride. He carried himself with all the airs of regality, though he was oblivious to this. Ezeoha just believed he looked cool strutting about.
"Whhhattt?" The cub pranced over to his grandmother, confused as to what was going on. Apparently something of importance was, considering that his grandmother wanted the pride gathered. He hadn't caught the main bits of the conversation, which may've been a good thing. Sarabi could choose whether to tell him or not.
"Why is everyone going to gather? Is something important going to happen?" Ezeoha wasn't naturally this nosy. He liked to remain aloof, give that little mysterious side to himself for the females to dote on. But he lost himself in his confusion and excitement, and became the young juvenile that he was.

Mwali woke with a start from his den outside of pride rock, his eyes wide and breath shallow. For nights now the red goliath woke in a simular fashion. Nightmares haunted the corners of his mind even in his waking hours. His son, Azeze was gone. He was being drawn more and more to the desert... his dreams were of burning sands, rolling over the towering dunes towards his homelands. The looming cliffs over the barren wasteland, the bit of shrub that he had taken shelter under...
His father loomed over him, his dark circled eyes piercing down onto his ill-favored son. His powerful crimson form rippling in hard muscle, his long mane flowing like firey silk around him. He was a monument to the power of the firekin pride. Beside him stood his brother, smaller, younger, but just as powerful. There he laid- fat, lazy, spoiled... forsaken. He was the second born... now the last...
The last of the pure royal blood, the last of the pure line that his father had inherited from the goddess herself, the chosen to rule. His brother had failed in falling in love with a pridelander- his mistake could not be redeemed. He was dead. Mwali had sinned, he was a sin- but he was the last.
The firekin twitched, lifting a paw to his forehead... his son... the desert. They needed him.
Without a word he rose to his paws, shaking out his mane as he padded heavily to the mouth of his small den.
He paused at the mouth, letting out a bellowing roar in response to the call for a hunting party. The message was clear- he was coming to.

-Kami cringed as she heard her mother's words. Both for the fact that she was needed and because of the urgency behind them. Giving Ta an apologetic look, she turned back to her mother, sulking the few steps closer to her.- "Oh... Okay... Who should I go get?"
-Mufasa listened as he followed, a feeling of dread taking him over as the story progressed. It'd happend weeks ago? That was going to make the task so much harder. But then, it didn't matter how hard the task was when it came to the wellbeing of a young one.
Red with a black and white mane huh? That certainly sounded familar. Casting his eyes back towards the pride he hoped it wouldn't be long before they began to follow, but for the time being, he'd better just go now. Two lions would suffice for trying to track down the child. Nodding firmly in agreement he motioned for them to move again, taking up the lead himself this time.- "Of course you can come. But be careful. It's more important we bring your brother back unharmed then it is we get revenge."

Wandering away from her mother and father, Ma'isah ventured her way to Pride Rock. She wondered where Siltim was, her little parnter in crime and adventurer at heart. Flicking her obsidian tail, she blinked. Everyone seemed distressed and in a mood of chaos. Walking in her normal gait, she glanced at the lions and lioness. There, far from the cub's view stood the Queen and then she saw the King. Her heart gave a jump as the others spoke.
A cub was kidnapped?! This news would have to be brought to Mama and Papa immidiately. Perhaps they needed to know this. Her little pale green body walked around the others as she listened. Oh no, a hunt to find the lost child! With a light yip, she turned on her heels and rushed by the others to return to her family. Her green body was seen racing out beyond the savannah to return to her siblings and parents.

The red lion waited, his ears perked upwards to listen for any responding roars... those of his mate, those of his other children, but there was only one other who answered his enraged bellow- Rehema. She answered with a roar of her own, she'd meet up with him, Mufasa, and Malik. Giving a short nod, Mwali leapt forward, racing out towards the fading golden forms in the distance. He was old, but not nearly as old as Mufasa and far from becoming frail. It didn't take long for the red giant to catch up to his son and the king of the pride.
Panting as he padded his way beside Malik, Mwali glanced over. Malik's eyes burned as the young lion walked beside the king. He'd grown so much. Already the cub was resembling his firekin bloodline. His eyes so determined, his body rippling in thick muscle, his bulk almost that of a full-grown pridelander. He was quite the prize... if his attitude would shape up a bit perhaps.
"I'm coming too, Mufasa." The former prince said once his breath had returned, "Rehema is on her way... is this the search party?" "'s All we need." Malik walked along confidently, his head lifted proudly, mane tossed over one side of his head and neck. "It's only one o' dem if we can catch 'em." His nose curled, "Anyway, if we do face da pride, all we gotta do is sneak in n' get Azeze, no? Yer da old prince dere, they'll listen tah ya me thinks."

Sarabi looked to her daughter, her deep red eyes bright with conflicting emotions. "Whoever you can find, dearest. Adults are prefered... we don't want young ones getting hurt on this search, but we need as many lions as we can muster." She sighed, her gaze turning to rest on a beloved form. Nodding to her daughter, she turned and trotted to her mate as quickly as her frail form could take her, hissing in annoyance when it protested. "Mufasa... you are going to retrieve the cub, aren't you? Please, love, be careful..." A worried look on her face, she placed herself close by his side, shoulder to shoulder. Oh, how she longed to be going with... Once her body had made her a warrior queen in truth, but now she despised it for holding her back. Much as she knew she'd never make the trip, let along be able to keep up, she fretted with wanting, her blood running hot in her veins to make her rash and bold.

Jasiri lazed about in the tall grass, her tail twitching back and fourth and as a cool breeze ruffled her fur. Life had been going so smoothly these last couple of months, everything except the dissapearence of her son, that is. She still searched around the border day to day, it had become quite a routine. Many had told her to stop, to give up. Told her the boy was dead. But a mother can never forget her cub. Still the days dragged on, and still no sign. She had been tempted before to leave, to search further, but there were still her other children to take care of. And now they were all grown up, almost adults. She sighed, suddenly feeling weary and old. In the back of her mind she knew she was getting restless. She was never one to stay someplace for very long, no matter how beautiful and perfect it might seem. She jumped suddenly, hearing the unexpected roar. She sprang to her feet amediately, the pain in her joints suddenly feeling a little less painful, and a new sense of adventure filling her soul. She got over just in time to hear the news. Mwali's son! She of all people knew what it was like to lose a loved one. "Ill go also. Ive traveled to the Firekin many times before." She turned to her daughter and nephew, giving them a loving smile. "Just as long as you two look out for an old geezer like me." On any other day, she would have forbid her daughter to go, but this was important, and Rehema was almost a fully grown lioness, Jasiri had no place telling her what to do. "Your Highness, if you see my Sukutu, can you please tell him what happened, and that I will be with him again soon." She hated leaving him here, but he was no where in sight, and she knew he better stay back in case another Firekin came along. Her violet eyes, now filled with a new spark, scanned the horizon, ready for anything. "Are we ready?" She adressed the crowd, then waiting for the Kings commands.

Bakhti was ehading to Pride Rock, she was going to go searching for Kib but the news of firekin lions stealing youngsters hit her. "Kib.." She whispered quietly and shook her head, no. Kib left on her own accord she wasn't stolen.
"I will come as well if you will allow me to. I can search for Kib on the way." She was one getting old but the chance of such a small chance of finding her daughter on the way made her happy, more then happy, joyful.
