watchtower-guardian ((Zeno just flew over the South gate, speaking of which.. I didn't break any spells by making him do that did I?)) (((No I do not think so, since the gates have been breached in the south the Altharie there will not negate any sort of special abilities or powers. But if anyone has any questions wondering what Altharie is then there is an explanation of it in the Chaos Order Role Play in the Index of Locations. But it is a substance that has been used rather frequently throughout the RP. The short and sweet version~ Altharie is an alchemic compound found in crystalline form that negates any "inhuman" attributes. If treated properly by an alchemist of proper skill this crystal can be spelled to only negate the attacks of forces outside of a city wall.
*That is not my point Jan, they did not stop, but our characters are not the only ones able to shield themselves or have special abilities...these are not humans we are dealing with lol. Your bit of pyrotechnics will do plenty of damage yes, but it will not stop them. )))

(((...alright here is a brief synopsis to get everything straight. ~Dagaal is at the southern section of the city, Lizzera Matier has just been killed by him. ~Mikairyu has already filled us in to the fact that the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and western sections of the city has fallen under siege. ~Now as to your earlier display of "fireworks" Jan...you decide when they end unless a post is made by someone else that brings an end to them. Also I would imagine than the maharans would eventually make their way into the city nonetheless, one would think them capable to do so. *But if you are fixated on me changing my post then I will do so.)))

((ok that makes sence now, and I just was wondering if there was going to be a post about someone stopping the fireworks or if I had to do it))
Sin nodded at Issilida as he looked over to the west gate and frowned.
"the fireworks...."
He turned back to Issilida with a confushed look on his face.
"Hey Issilda... the fireworks are gone... I'm assumeing thats a bad thing..."
He looked back over a the scortched part of the walls and scratched his head.
"this is a problem... I already used the seal I put there last night.... I guess we'll have to figure it out when we get there..."

((ok I'm bored))
Movement suddenly cought Sin's eyes and he saw an Azerian dived fowards trying to scoop up Issildia. Rushing fowards past the people in his way he dived at her trying to tackle her out of the way.
"Issildia! Look out!"

Archer fell back, and kicked the soldier's blade up, sprung off of his hands, and threw El through the soldier's chest. "Ha, b*****d." Archer whispered. He walked forward, and pulled the sword from the soldiers chest, and let the body fall. He put El in his belt, and raised his hands. the roof he was on started rumbling. He was sweating, and he started shaking from the strain, but the top half of the building rose slightly, and then more, making the building float, with only Archer and the fallen soldier on it.

((Okay, I think now is a good time for the return of a warrior.))
To the South of Faltora, a single white horseman emerged on the top of the hill behind the enemy lines. Unrealising to the force ahead until reaching there, the figure is shooked to see the large host of the Lavorian army. The horseman's eyes then narrowed. He dismounted his horse and looked for a way to get into the city without confronting the enemy. He looked North, East and West of the City, but saw that all were surronded by enemies. He thought that he couldn't use his power as he didn't realise that the city had been breached. He believed that the defences were still up. He then looked up and saw an amazing sight. A small army of Azerian were flying overhead. The warrior smiled lightly at the sight. Some where directly over him, so he shouted to one of them. He was wearing different colours to the enemy army, so it would have been almost certainly obvious that he didn't fight for Lavoria, even though he did bear Celtarie blood. But then again, he also bore Anierian blood, so it should be fine. He waited for a response from an Azerian, and he got what he had hoped for.
An Azerian flew just out of swords reach from the warrior and spoke. "Who do you fight for?" asked the Azerian "I am a commander of the lost army of Anier." replied the warrior. "Normally, I would grieve for your lose but, as you can see, we have a situation." replied the Azerian. "Might I ask who you fight for?" asked the warrior. "I fight for the army of Ule'Dieus." replied the Azerian. "So, your on the side of the city then?" asked the warrior. "You could make that assumption." replied the Azerian. "Could I possibly get a lift?" asked the warrior. The Azerian laughed. "Well, I suppose I'm going there anyway. Okay." answered the Azerian. "Might I ask your name?" "I would prefer to keep it to myself." replied the warrior. He left the horse and climbed onto the back of the Azerian. Before he got a proper grip, there were on their way. The speed and thrill was amazing, and the warrior thought he was going to fall off, but he didn't.
Several arrows made their course towards the two of them, but none met their target. Eventually the warrior was lowered onto the top of the gate to the west. He wanted to thank the Azerian, but when he turned around, the Azerian had already left.
The warrior could sense a familiar aura originaing from the gate he was on, so the warrior used his shadow form to get there quickly. After all, he was in the city now, and he wasn't travelling far anyway.
When he reached there he saw a mass of fighting and the familiar aura was coming from a woman. "No, it can't be! This is a very strange thing to see." the warrior thought to himself. "Issildia?" asked the deep voice of the warrior. He grinned "It's me! Streak!"

(((Issildia is a little busy Streak. sweatdrop )))
Issildia's form suddenly disappeared into shadow as the azerian attacked, she reappeared in the same fashion some distance behind him. "I was beginning to wonder if my father had forgotten about me." she said with venom. "Though it would seem that he should be concerned with far greater things than myself...his army is destroyed and his kingdom in a state of unrest, how does he find the time." Issildia uttered cynically.

Sin stopped as Issildia dissipired and figured that she could handle herself with this new advaseary. Turning he sprinted off towards the western gate, sprinting thought the streets and small battles that were located all over the city. Sliding to a stop at the main street leading towards the gate Sin looked around at the thin layer of soot and ash that coverd the ground.
"The fireworks should have still been going... who put them out..."

"Why did he not tell me she was part Celtarie." Zeno performed a tight loop mid air, closed his wings and landed softly on the ground. "I have no time for your futile attempts to thwart me Issildia, make this easy and just come with me so I can be rid of you. Atleast then I will be able to slaughter your soldiers like I was originally meant to," he finished with an icy grin. They were but ten or fifteen feet apart, getting to her would be easy.. what to do when he got there, not so much. He had but one weapon on him that could even touch a shadow, though he was hesitant to pull his most prized possession on Issildia. He needed to end this quickly, so he resolved to let Reinsen deal with a few knife wounds. He took a few steps forward drawing his staff and golden dagger simultaneously. "I don't want to kill you Issildia, its not apart of my orders. Though I will deal a fatal blow should you choose to fight me."

"You expect me to surrender to a novice, I think not." she uttered, her words edged in ice.
After only a brief pause Issildia darted forward as if to come in for a direct assault and raised her blade to strike but before she did so, she disappeared once again into shadow and immediately appeared a mere few steps behind her opponent, her blade coming swiftly down at his back.

~In the midst of the battle, the East and West gates had fallen. The lights from the flares that burst in the sky revealed two small platoons of unusual creatures. They were similar to the creatures that had attacked Issildia the previous night, but they were commanded by two women. THe Horsemen of Famine and Pestilence were responsible for the fall of the East and West Gates as the battle ensued. As they commanded their unit to charge into battle, the citizens of Faltora had begun a general evacuation, only to be met by these ferocious beasts, and slain on sight. The Horseman of War, Dagaal Dhimasho, was seen running towards the main structure of the palace, as the Northern Gate to the city had finally fallen.
The horseman of Death, Yige Yingzi had made his attack. The Maharans who had accompanied him took to the skies as he made his charge towards the gates of the palace. one by one the soldiers in his path fell to the ground, their souls removed from their bodies, as he continued on his path. Once he reached the doors to the palace, he faded into his own shadow, and reappeared behind the door. The guards on the outside, attempted to follow him, but they found themselves being attacked by the very shadows that traced their bodies. Once he was inside, it did not take long for him to meet up with Dagaal, who had already found his way to the main hall.
From above, Akurei and Nicholas were still in deep debate as the battle ensued. Neither of them willing to compromise their beliefs, as Akurei finally unsheathed the blade at his side.~
Look around you Nicholas. Your city will fall. Your people will die...and for what? Because you do not believe the information contained within the towers is worthy of my eyes? you are a fool.
That knowledge is not of this world Akurei. No one has the right to exploit it for their own selfish desires.
Selfish? Creating a new world is not selfish. It will benifit all paries involved. Even those who do not wish the change.
Tell me. How does slaying an entire kingdom benefit those who have falled victim to your attack.
There can be no creation without destruction Nicholas. Their sacrifice will not be in vain. Their souls will become a part of something far greater than either of us can fathom.
You are deluded Akurei. Your actions will only lead the world to the same fate as Nikau.
Believe what you will, but you will not live to see that day.
~Akurei slowly moves to Nicholas's position. It was then that he finally turned to face his opponent. Both of their blades drawn, Akurei made no attempt to defend himself as Nicholas charged toward him, his battle cry echoing throughout the structure of his home, as a sinister smirk came to Akurei's face. With a clash of steel, and a flash of light, their battle had begun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile back at the Eastern Gate~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They are far more savage than I was aware of.
Atrista via telepathy: I know. It's so exciting.
Do you think it was right to let them loose. You know once they start to feed, they won't stop until no one remains. Both ally and enemy alike.
As long as they serve our purpose we needn't concern ourselves with such trivial matters. Remember your place Dayax. We do not serve Akurei. We serve the Cycle, and as of right now, Akurei's actions favor the Cycle in every way imaginable.
That may be, but I feel as if his actions will eventually destroy him.
All things will eventually come to an end, Dayax.
I....I suppose you're right.
