"You didn't really think it would be that easy, did you?" said Marr Silvertongue, walking around the large pile of fake spice, appearing as if from nowhere...

Jaing stared as his opponent withdrew her favored axe. He had been reckless, he saw that now. Too agressive, too quick. Clenching his fists in the form of a fighting stance, he beckoned the Mando to approach.

"This batch is one of the largest brought in at any time. It is only logical that the time to go through this set will take longer than usual, given standard scheduling," Nubyl stated matter-of-factly. It was hard not to with this logic. "With this, the experimentation can proceed, so your duties have been reassigned."
The small repulsorsled was guided through the various labs, where earlier units were being grown, examined, and tested for upcoming runs. It passed through, until it reached a large overpass, which overlooked a giant mirror maze, before stopping. The sounds of a klaxon bell went off, as Nubyl watched the screams of a mad Zeltron echo throughout the large room.
"Your prerogative is to keep a rearward strategic flank covered for the Master. He plans a strategic attack into republic space, and your job is to ensure that his departure is completely, totally, and fully unknown. Investigate, uncover, and eliminate any persistent agents which intend to impede his progress. The Master has no desire to put up with the council's consistent attempts against his life. That is your new objective. Your price will be named as always after completion of your success. Which leads to the next order of business, negotiating your current fee for this delivery."

Volgen listened and watched his surroundings. He had been in here once before but never so deep. His helms decibel controller activated and blocked out the noise of the bell.
" Wait... Your giving me orders from Nakara to be a rear guard? " He said this while thinking about the pay it would get him.
" Master, I know you are already thinking about it, but I ran the numbers. With the children at 50,000 a head and this mission they are attempting to send you on, we will be well over our repair and stock needs. " Gray said as he gave a few hand motion orders to the men.
" ... 50,000 a head on the kids and 75,000 up front on this little mission. Take it or leave it. I got other jobs I can take. " He stated lying through his teeth.

((Ok...the sample was brought up to the bridge for analysis but I'll bite. Down in the hold then.)) For someone who Marr perhaps expected to be surprised, Captain Darksun didn't seem surprised. Turning he drew his sword as the surprised pirates around him all locked their guns on Marr. "Well now, seems we've a stowaway aboots. Ye be a daft b*****d ta be here alone."

Rook struggled with the scientist, trying to wrestle him down long enough to pull another weapon, but he was immensely strong. Far stronger than any human ought to be. Than again, considering he was purple, she wasn't exactly assuming he was human.
She headbutted him instead, using his surprise to pull away. As she got to her feet, he leaped at her again. This time Kira used the momentum of his charge against him, bending down and pushing on his body as he flew over her, sending him flying into the tables around them. Strong as he was, this man/thing was not trained in the arts of battle.
This was going to be a short fight...

Lady Marie Celeste stared at the flickering image of Lyra's ruler as the message played out before her.
"Lady Celeste," he began, proper and cordial as always, "I would rather have spoken to you of this in person, but we have waited long enough to deal with our little pirate problem and swift action had to be taken. I hope that you're training session proved enlightening, and that our new friend was able to meet your high expectations.
I have left for the Al'Har system and may not return for some time. Until I do so, you and the High Council are in command. I trust that you will serve in this position honorably, since I would trust it to no other.
Also, I would like for your field agents to get a message to the Jedi Lord Malcolm Stryder, who has only recently escaped from his imprisonment at Oovo IV. I am not sure if he is indeed involved in this matter, but even if he is not, such a formidable wielder of the Force cannot be ignored for long.
Tell him that I congratulate him on his recent escape, and would like to speak with him soon on neutral ground. If this is unacceptable, have the request made that a more expedient line of long-distance communication be set up between the two of us.
Tell your agents to attempt to maintain their cover in delivering this message, but if that is impossible, to deliver it even at the cost of revealing themselves.
Until we meet again, Marie, may the Force serve you well..."

Marie exited the room and made the ordered requests of her agents, than went to her quarters and showered off the dried sweat from her recent exercise. As the warm water washed over her naked form, she thought about what Lord Marr had asked of her.
Potentially giving up an agent was hard for her to do, going against years of experience in various rebel movements and her time with Lyran Intelligence. She could do it, though, if the benefit was large enough. If it benefited Lyra, she could do anything...
As she turned the shower off and dried herself with a towel, her communicator came to life:
"Lady Celeste, we have reports of an unidentified ship entering Lyran Space. The Battlecruiser Initiative is ready to depart for intercept upon your request."
Marie grabbed the communicator and responded, "I'm on my way."

"Me? Come over there?" Cene said, amused. "Tell you what, I'll send you something instead." She drew a heavy pistol from its holster and fired at the cyborg. "Is this your debut fight? Because you're sure acting like it." She taunted, getting into Durge's head.

Koren was taken down by the man. He hit the ground and the air was expunged from his lungs, leaving him gasping for breath. He quickly regained his composure, and grabbed the man by the collar of his armor. He tried to lift his leg as much as he could in an attempt to roll flip the man off of him.

"You assume that I am alone," Marr said cryptically. "Anyways, I came here to talk, there won't be any need for those."

"Oh no. Theres plenty o' reason for 'em." The captain said. "After all, ye be a high rankin' sith. Best naught ta take chances. And speakin of-" Drawing his comlink, Darksun activated it and dialed up the bridge. "Watch? have the men dump those containers. There ain't nothin' worth it in 'em. Then make ready fer hyparrr-space travel. Delta co-ordinates." He looked back to Marr, smirking like a bad gambler with a winning hand. "Now then. This talkin' ye be so eager ta do. Lets hear it."

" I think they see us. " one of the Sith troopers said. " Come to a stop here then. " Siren responded. Soon the shuttle slowed down, coming to a stop. " Well, no sense in staying quiet anymore. Open a channel. " A few button presses later, the shuttle's comm came to life. " This is Siren, for Thule. I have come here under orders from Lady Demaia to speak with Lord Marr. May we approach? "

Deakin cracked his neck and spat blood before tightening his grip. His back was given on the ground, not a great position if the opponent was freed. He had to think quick, for it wasn't the brightest move. Deakin let go and shoved the man by the chest. He heard chanting in the background. It proved to be amusing.

"Please don't treat me as foolish, Volgen. I'm not blinded to the cost of running this operation. Forty thousand per head, final deal. As for paying up front of your ludicrous amount, I have something you might find useful in place of such fines you attempt to levy upon our operation," Nubyl responded, making no concessions outside boundaries of normal transactions. She stared down at the ground, where the slave had begun to melt into a pile of slush.
"It's a shame. Once the DNA begins to fuse, the bodies just melt away. Bones, organs, all become nothing more than slop for people to clean up."
