It looks to me that no Shield is good for business, I'm in.
So now that we are here what are we going to do, all I see so far is a bunch of individual jobs linking loosely together in to some sort of half hazard plan. We need to be at the top of our game if we are going to destroy SHIELD.

If we start the war, Stark will have all the powers that be in the nexus on our asses. We're merely planning for the inevitability of Stark "taking the fight to us," as he so eloquently put it. That's the official story, anyways.

Norman does bring up a very good point. This is why I have been a very busy busy boy. I noticed that we are a bit outnumbered and outgunned, so I have been moving people into position getting ready for my greatest gag of all.

We won't be so hopelessly outgunned by the time conflict breaks, by the way. I know of several SHIELD agents that do not support Stark's presumptuous war with us, and know for a fact they won't participate. Hell, Slade's kid's boyfriend quit today. And agreed to consider my half-joking offer of a position here, to boot. I love stealing Stark's members. Though Crane might not be altogether too pleased.

I want to organize talks to end the hostility, I want to set up a dialog with you for the return of the hostage you have taken.
I'm doing this on my own but do realize as Director of the INITIATIVE I have equal power to Stark.

Your presumption that Injustice International had anything to do with this, while expected, is incorrect. Yes, it's true that one of our agents, the Joker, did in fact take a hostage. But this hostage was not taken on behalf of Injustice International, nor is it our responsibility to retrieve her. Talk to the Joker. Though I believe he's already given his terms, and I've found him to be quite the stubborn clown.
