"Well I am sure you will figure it out." Cassandra murmured as she kissed along his jaw. They had just gotten out of bed not too long ago but she found it rather enticing. "Have I told you today how much I love you? ------ Merida chuckled softly. "I love seeing you like this. Knowing that I am able to make such a strong man tremble." ------- Constance grinned and nodded. "Merrick and I love to cook. I am sure we can whip up something so delicious it will leave you speechless. " She turned around and began pullong things out of the cabinets and fridge. Rosalyn smiled as she watched her daughter. Her father had a love for cooking. She had inherited that from him. She herself could cook, but not near as good as he had. -------- Amelia slowly raised her gaze to look at the man that had emerged from the ground. Nala stood between the two of them. She had stopped hissing but a faint growling sound rumbled deep in her throat. The familiar snd man had their eyes locked on one another. "Nala that is enough." Amelia sighed softly. As she spokr Nala turned to face her before slowly making her way towards her mistress. Amelis slowly pulled herself to her feet using Nala for support. Her eyes watered as she still tried to process everything around her.

Lorcan chuckled, his body shivering slightly beneath Cassandra's touch. "No, but I can say that if you said you wanted to have the moon on a necklace, I'd pull it down for you," he murmured.
Naruto cocked an eyebrow. "A woman with the power to burn certain things and people with little effort, who wouldn't tremble at that? Your beauty would make men underestimate you 99.99999999% of the time," he said softly.

Merrick half turned as he moved with surprising fluidity, gathering sweet potatoes, heavy cream, milk, pork cutlets and several other items.

Kýojin shrugged one shoulder. "I know more about eating food than cooking it; fried rice, a couple of kinds of pasta, and scrambled eggs are about the best I can do," he muttered.
Räen cocked his head slightly as he glanced up towards the woman as she spoke before he let his gaze scan slowly around. "Very different from how it was when I let her seal me away... holding them back," he murmured in a voice that held an accent that sounded like a blend of Spanish, Irish, and Italian all at once yet it was none of them at the same time.

Hyōmai was in the bath relaxing when a massive spike of Ki energy, what most magic users were able to manipulate on some level, burst forth before abruptly vanishing. Even in the warm-hot water, gooseflesh rippled over her skin as she looked around warily before slowly relaxing into the bubbly water since she'd added bubble bath to the water as it ran.

"Now there is a tempting thought. The moon on a necklace." Cassandra stood up on her tiptoes and kissed Lorcan lightly, her hand running lightly through his hair. "Maybe another time. Right now all I want is you. To have a moments peace after such a close call to death would be wonderful." Coming so close to death had terrified her beyond what she could express. ~~~~~~ "And most men do underestimate me." Merida murmured softly as she kissed Naruto again, lingering there for several moments as she enjoyed the feel of his lips against her own. "But not you. You never did."~~~~~~ Constance watched Merrick for a moment before turning back to her own task. The chicken was thrown into a pot full of water as she turned it on so it could boil. Effortlessly she chopped up some onion and green bell pepper. Rosalyn sat down on a chair, watching the two with interesting. They moved fluidly around each other, already knowing where the other was going. When one needed something the other was close to, they handed it to each other. ~~~~~~ Amelia's head tilted to the side slightly as she listened to the man speak. He had a unique accent. She felt herself drawn to him. She gave her head a little shake. "I am sorry, but who are you exactly and how did you come to be trapped under there?" Her eyes had adjusted to the way she could see now. She still did not know how this had happened. She had been blind her whole life and nothing had helped her to see other than seeing through her familiar's eyes.

Lorcan gently massaged Cassandra's back and hips. "I'm all yours, princess," he murmured with a mildly teasing tone.
Naruto shrugged slightly, well aware Merida would feel it. "I grew up with strong women and so I can recognize them better than most," he said softly, well aware his body was aroused.

Merrick snickered slightly as he added the heavy cream and milk to the sweet potatoes before setting it to simmer. "Funny; if people who didn't know us watched us cook, they'd think we were on a dance floor or something," he murmured to Constance.

Kýojin leaned against the wall, tilting his head.
Räen shrugged slightly, one shoulder shifting a bit. "You can call me Kýos, and I had a friend seal that pit to prevent a race of very bloodthirsty demon hybrids flooding out... they make vampires look like children with sippy cups, if you get my drift; most of them were killed over the past twenty years or so... don't know how long I was under there, though," he said quietly.

Kaosujin Ryu hmm, could probably switch over Cassandra/Lorcan and Merida/naruto Cassandra just smiled as she kissed Lorcan again, pulling him back. As they reached the bed she pulled him down with her, snuggling against him all the while still kissing him. ~~~~~ "Hmm, very good," Merida said softly as she inched the sheet a little lower although it still separated them. "I think there has been enough talk here for the time being."~~~~~ Constance chuckled softly. "A dance created through the music of food," she replied softly as she began to chop up some mushrooms to go into the dish she was making. Even with her mother and Jin watching them, she felt completely at ease here in the kitchen with Merrick. ~~~~~ Amelia looked back to where the seal had been before looking back at Kyos. He had been under there a very long time. She remember vaguelly reading about the demon hybrids. She just couldn't remember how long ago it had been. "I am Amelia. Elder and leader of the Amaranth Coven." It wasn't often that she just told someone who she was, but she felt as if he could be trusted.

Merrick twitched slightly, shifting his weight as he dipped the pork chops in spices; he knew Constance sensed the same power burst, though he was vaguely troubled by how it simply vanished after several seconds.

Kýojin glanced out of the rear window towards the outdoor pool, though he sensed a very powerful spike of power. It was even stronger than his own power the same way his was stronger than those of his former 'handlers'.
Kÿos tilted his head slightly "So you're one of the magick users, whom I'm sure have strengthened over the decades of not centuries. They were less common, as I recall, but strong at drawing Nature's gifts in and using what was within them from birth," he said calmly, rolling one shoulder casually.

Constance stopped for a moment as she looked towards the window. She had indeed sensed the power burst, but now it was gone. She stood there for a second longer before shrugging and going back to her preparations. She hoped that by ignoring it they were doing the right thing. Hopefully it was nothing that would be used against them. Rosalyn straightened in her chair as her gaze went to the window. She had been enjoying watching her daughter and her daughter's mate, but the power burst drew her attention away from them. Although it was now gone she kept her gaze out the window. ~~~~~ "I am," Amelia said with a slight incline of her head. "We have grown much stronger, and there are those with mixed blood who have great power. But we are being attacked from all directions. Witch Hunters, now aided by demons have risen against us." She had been right to assume he had been trapped underground for a very long time. She winced slightly as her eyes began to water again. With a wave of her hand a pair of sunglasses appeared in her hand and she put them on her face. "I am not used to seeing like this I am afraid. I have never seen like this before my entire life."

Merrick tilted his head as he added the salt, pepper, and buttermilk before he started preparing the Brussels sprouts and crumbled bacon. He tilted his head slightly as he added a bit of virgin olive oil to make cooking easier.

Kýojin tilted his head slightly. "It's obvious all of us sensed that," he observed idly to Rosalyn though he didn't seem to realize the telepathic connection was there.
Kÿos shrugged ever so slightly. "We all have our advantages and disadvantages. I have tolerated most of the decent demons in the past, while I find Witch Hunters to be remarkably foolish and insecure about their own nature. They do not seem to realize that if the are willing to train, they are able to unlock abilities that make them more than human just as the witches they seem so fond of hunting are more than human," he said with a slight sigh.

It didn't take long for the chicken to cook; it was practically done already by the time Constance got to it. She emptied the pot and refilled it with water, letting it boil as she tore up the chicken and put it into a bowl. When the water began to boil she threw some spaghetti noodles into it and turned back to the chicken. She added a couple of cans of soup along with some seasonings.She hadn't made this dish in a while and when she made it she made enough for a lot of people. "Yes, we all paused to look through the window,"Rosalyn said as she looked over at Jin. "But it seems whatever it is has passed. We would know if it were coming for us."~~~~~~ "We have times of peace, but right now that has been disrupted by times of unrest. It seems that the highest of demons down below has it in for us once again." Amelia glanced over her shoulder at the safe house. She knew the others had sensed the power surge. "I wonder why all of a sudden I can see," she said softly without realizing she had spoken out loud.

Merrick lifted and shifted the bacon and sprouts around as he noticed the peppers he'd prepared earlier ready with the tomato sauce before he added the spice rub to the pork chops and set them to grill for a short while. He shifted as he stirred the potatoes into a finely mashed mixture before he started serving it. He was well aware he'd made enough for roughly two dozen people and didn't really care since he knew that most of those who were here tended to have accelerated metabolisms due to their nature, primarily himself, Constance, and he suspected Jin as well.

Kýojin frowned slightly, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly as they glowed navy-teal for a few seconds. "It isn't gone, but it isn't radiating as much power as it was... whatever or whoever it is, they're suppressing their power to almost nil," he murmured.
Kÿos tilted his head slightly upward, showing his swirling indigo-cerulean irises clearly for the first time to Amelia. "If he's anything like Stryker, then you won't have much to worry about... last I heard, Strykerius was in hiding," he said with a slight shrug. "Some demons feed on blood, others on pain or fear. When Stryker was around... his kind for a very long time fed on the souls of humans due to a curse that was placed on their kind," he said quietly. "Obviously Cassandra Peters' bloodline is still around and strong, otherwise... well... life would cease to exist," he said carefully.

Hyōmai exhaled as she rinsed off after draining the tub, lightly touching the faint scars where she'd been stabbed over and over. It's a wonder that the injuries healed so well, she thought.

Kaosujin Ryu were you gonna have one of the others be part of Cassandra Peter's bloodline? As the noodles finished boiling Constance drained and rinsed them, the steam rising up all around her. It was nice to be back in the kitchen. This was where she had always felt the most at home. The noodles went into the same pot as the other seasonings. After that was all mixed she put a layer in a pan with sliced cheese on top of it before adding the second layer with even more cheese. Rosalyn nodded slightly at Jin's words. She had noticed the power had not all receded. Whoever wielded it was very adept at keeping it hidden. "It takes many years and lots of practice to do that," she said softly to Jin as she glanced over at Constance and Merrick. ~~~~~~~~ Amelia turned her gaze back to Kyos. She was momentarily taken aback by the color of his eyes. "He has been causing quite a ruckus, as well as his son, Damon. Lucky for us we have his daughter on our side. She, better than anyone, knows her fathers ways and how to get around him to finally end this senseless bloodshed." She squinted slightly and rubbed at her temples. She was already getting a headache. The strain on her eyes was getting to her, she was so unused to the sights. Luckily none of her other senses seemed to be affected.

Alede OOC - I was leaning towards Merida, to be honest. She fits that personality quite well, if you think about it. I'm sure you'll notice that Hyomai is socially clueless in a very obvious way.

Merrick saw the steam rising up around Constance and for a second paused and thought three simple words: "Damn, that's hot," followed swiftly by "and she chose to be with me,". He only knew of one thing hotter, but that was for more private moments between them.

Kýojin tilted his head slightly. "Makes you wonder what is the source... it's power isn't light nor dark... but it isn't demonic either... I"ve never sensed anything like it," he said quietly. It was almost as dense as his own power... yet at the same time was even more tightly restrained.
Kÿos took a few fluid strides forward and knelt a couple of feet from Amelia, opening his hand as he stretched his arm towards her, revealing the steel backed fingerless gloves he wore that stopped a couple of inches above his wrist before he turned it over to reveal aspirin in his palm. "This should help with the headache, for the moment. I do not know much about the current time, yet I know my brother is out there somewhere, for where mythology and religion are incorrect is that there isn't seven keys to the end of the world... nor three... but two," he said quietly. He wasn't going to reveal where or what those keys were... but they were where no demon nor human would ever expect. He sensed that there was another that had abilities very similar to his brother, yet they were different in a very subtle way. "It is past time he got over his past, as brutal as it was," he thought, unconsciously projecting the thought in a very quiet voice to the nearest sentient person... which happened to be Amelia herself. He glanced up at the darkening clouds. "If you prefer, I will escort you back into the home you left to keep you from getting soaked in the approaching storm," he offered. He paused, cocking his head ever so slightly as he glanced behind him at the seven tall, good looking shaggy blond men. "Can I help you gentlemen?" he said casually, not seeming bothered by the men whatsoever though he could clearly sense their demonic nature. "Give us the b***h near you... or we kill you," one snapped as two of them drew short gladius style swords as the others drew out switchblades and chains. The one that had spoken remained unarmed, however.

Hyōmai, standing nude in her room, looked perturbed at the unfamiliar clothes in front of her. "Just what the hell are these?" she muttered.

Kaosujin Ryu ooh, I like it ^_^ . So would we have her be the last of the bloodline until she has her own children? So they would need to protect her quite well as long as Constance? Constance looked over her shoulder at Merrick with a grin. She had heard those three words and then the very heartfelt sentence after it. She gave him a smile. "I will always be with you, Merrick. You complete me in a way that nobody else ever could.""Nor have I," Rosalyn said with a shake of her head. She was curious as to who the power belonged to, but she was loath to leave the house where she was able to learn more about her daughter as she cooked. Suddenly she stiffened and her whole body turned towards the window. She had sensed the demons nearby and they were intent on getting a hold of someone. ~~~~~~ Amelia was surprised when Kyos handed her the aspirin. "Thank you," she said softly as she popped the pills into her mouth and swallowed them. She hoped they would work quickly. When he offered to escort her home she couldn't help but smile. Not a lot of people offered to help her much. She suspected that it was because they didn't want her to feel as if they thought she was helpless. She was about to answer when she saw the seven men over Kyos' shoulder. Amelia recognized them immediately for what they were. Her eyes narrowed as one of them spoke. Had they actually just called her that? "I am afraid I will have to respectfully decline the oh so gracious request you have made." As she stood up straight Nala moved in front of her, the hair on her back standing on end as she growled.

Alede OOC - That'd work, though she'd be quite a bit stronger than others of her bloodline because of her natural talent for magic combined with the psychic talents that run through her bloodline.

Merrick chuckled as he half turned, pulling out the large tub of chocolate mousse he'd prepared earlier. "It seems like I was only half alive when I was alone... with you... can't describe it," he murmured, well aware how Constance would understand the feeling in the words.

Kýojin frowned as he too sensed them as well as a momentary burst of unusual energy that he'd never sensed before.
Kÿos sighed as he turned to face the demons, rolling his eyes. "The only bitches I see are the seven of you; this is a skilled, intelligent woman and calling her otherwise is a grave insult... too bad you won't survive long enough to apologize," he said coolly. The demons scoffed before two violet bursts of energy incinerated the duo with the gladius swords. "Hadō no Gojūyon: Haien," he sighed. He shifted his arm into his duster jacket and pulled out a beautiful katana with a lavender wrapped hilt and round tsuba guard that had the eight Chinese trigrams on it in addition to looking very similar to a gold and ivory yin-yang. In one fluid movement he unsheathed the katana as the sheath seemingly dissolved into the very air itself as he fluidly and suddenly shot straight at the demons before abruptly vanishing a few paces from them before flickering into sight behind two of them whose heads fell off in geysers of blood before the one who had spoken ignited in crimson-gold flames as the last convulsed as narrow needles of silvery white light seemed to penetrate every inch of his skin simultaneously. "Surayate no Dai Uzu," he whispered; it was one of his more lethal techniques and pierced every single individual cell within the body simultaneously. Seconds later the injured demon imploded in a spray of blood, though by that time Kÿos had materialized near Amelia again, the katana held loosely with the thin violet braided rope and moonstone at the end fluttering in the rising breeze as the demon corpses ignited in bluish white flames. "I hate rapists... demonic rapists are just stupider than most," he remarked idly as a boom of thunder rolled in the distance.

"I know," Constance said softly to Merrick. She knew exactly how he felt. Before she had met him, it was almost as if she had been walking in a fog. Rosalyn seemed to relax a little when the demon's energy disappeared. She knew that they were gone from this world and would never be returning. She knew what they had been after, and was glad that they had been stopped. Unconsciously she shivered as he turned back towards the others. ~~~~~~ Amelia was surprised by how quickly Kyos moved to protect her from the demons. She had no doubt she would have been able to take care of a few of them, but with her head still pounding with this headache she knew that she couldn't hold all of them off. When he appeared back by her side she tilted her head back to look up at him. "Thank you for that. Most would have taken off." She motioned back to where the safe house was. "We aren't too far. Perhaps you would like to come in with me? I can give you food if you like and tell you about how the world is now? It is the least I can do."
