"Ya, I can't wait till I pass the academy. Then I can finally start training with these off." He lifted up his arms to show Conan the gauntlets he had around his arms. "These are partly the reason why its so cold around me." He had wanted to take the gauntlets off since day one, and one of his attempts had broke a part of the gauntlets, so now his ice chakra leaked out and made the surrounding area cold. "Then when these come off I can start working on my clan's jutsus, *sigh* but I still have a long way to go. But atleast I'm making some progress, right?" He had failed another seal but he wasn't going to give up, so he got ready and tried it again.

(Int mod= 1, and +2 because of the scroll.)

Handseals
The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. So I set them to learning all twelve. The rules are as follows: Roll 1d20 for each seal, one at a time. They must get a 12 or higher in order to correctly perform a seal. Each seal must be performed once correctly before being learned. Use the formula: [1d20 + Int Mod. = (#)].
DC: 12
Total Seals Learned: 6/12
**No Hp or Cp cost.
Rewards: +1 Intelligence, +3 Concentration (one-time only)

Doing nothing all this time was actually turning out to be worse than training. Minoru hated not being able to practice, but his body just couldn't handle it. He felt like he could pull out one or two more clones, but it wasn't good enough for him to just make one or two. Minoru wanted to be an overachiever, but he wanted to do everything the hard way. After all, tough training and tough environments made tough people. Minoru wondered if ninja's in other countries were better prepared for their missions because they lived in harsher elements. Deserts were hot, clouds made it harder to breath, mist obscured vision, and rocks made your footing almost impossible. Leaves didn't do anything except make a mess, and that didn't prepare you too much for being a ninja.

Clone Total: 7
CP: 7/9
Chakra Control: +2

Part II
The second part of the training would be to create the actual clones by using the learned handseals. To successfully create a clone, the student would have to have a total DC of 5. With every interval of 5, the student would make a clone.
5 = 1 clone (-1cp)
10 = 2 clones (-2cp)
15 = 3 clones (-3cp)
20 = 4 clones (-4cp)
If a student only has 3 CP, then he cannot create 4 clones, even if his total roll is 20. Resting for one post will gain back +2 Cp (temporary, only for this lesson). They must successfully complete the Jutsu 4 times, regardless of how many clones they create.
Formula: 1d20 + Chakra Control
Train: 2/4
Rewards: +1 Chakra, +3 Chakra Control (4 total clones is the minimum expected: for every additional 4 clones made, receive an additional +1 Chakra Control - remember to post what was your total clone count when pending exp!)

Minoru felt almost as strong as he had when he began training. But almost wasn't good enough so Minoru elected to rest for a bit longer. His loose clothes really did allow him to cool down better. They were good at keeping out the elements while keeping you cool. It made sense to Minoru; he had gotten them from a trader than had been traveling from some village in the sand. He had said that there were ninja there. Minoru had no idea if this was true or not, and he wasn't even sure if they would still be there if there had been. But the clothing worked really well. Just as he thought he needed to rest some more, Minoru felt like he had when he started. He quickly got up and tried focusing his chakra, and found he had the same amount that he did when he started. Cracking his knuckles and his neck, Minoru prepared to make more clones.

Minoru stretched a bit before making the sequence of hand seals again. He didn't know how many clones he would make this time, but he figured that he would just give it his best shot. That's what he had done the last few times and so far he had succeeded on making a total of seven clones. They hadn't been made all at once of course, he had managed to make three the first time and then four right after that. He wasn't really sure if the clones were as strong as him, he didn't know how to control them at all, and he didn't know if they felt pain or anything of the sort. He would have to figure all that out later. First he had to make more clones, something that should be easy now that Minoru had all his chakra back. HE hoped that resting for so long didn't make him rusty. Sure it had replenished the small amount of chakra that he had used, but he had been on a roll. With any amount of luck he would do just as well as he had in the past two tries.

It seemed inevitable, the resting period that Minoru had needed had also cursed him. As he tried to form the hand signs his left hand slipped and slammed against his leg awkwardly. It made a loud cracking sound and for a second Minoru thought it had been broken. Luckily that wasn't the case. Minoru suddenly wondered if you could be a ninja if you lost your fingers. You wouldn't be able to use hand seals or anything like that. Maybe you could just be a really awesome fist fighter. It's not like you would lose your strength or speed in an accident like that. Either way Minoru didn't want that to happen to him, so he tried to cycle through the hand seals a few times before he actually tried to get chakra behind them. Once he felt that he had sufficiently remembered how to do the Jutsu, he tried again.

Suddenly there were five different people who all looked like Minoru. He was surprised at how well he was doing with this. Maybe this was where his talent lay: in using Jutsu. He hadn't been able to do the intellectual things very well, but this seemed to come naturally. Wondering how well the clones were, he played rock-paper-scissors with them a few times. Unfortunately he had the misfortune to lose every time he played. Frustrated that he couldn't beat himself, he released the clones that all vanished in a puff of smoke. Minoru wondered why they were made out of smoke; after all wouldn't it be better to make them out of something else? Maybe water would work better since it was denser than smoke. He doubted that anyone would be willing to teach him how to make clones out of anything else though. That would probably be something he would have to figure out on his own. Refocusing on the task at hand, Minoru tried to make more identical clones.

This time when Minoru tried to make clones, he only managed to slip on the grass and hit his head on the ground. He laid there unconscious for a few seconds before waking up with a huge headache and not wanting to move. He grabbed his head and sat up while the world around him spun a bit. After Minoru regained his sense of balance, he stood up and looked around to see if anyone noticed. Everyone was busy doing one thing or another, so it didn't seem like anyone cared at all. Reassuring himself that everyone messed up once and a while in his head he quickly checked to see if anything was missing, broken, or otherwise disturbed. Nothing seemed to be out of order so Minoru tried again to form the hand seals. His hands were completely fine, so Minoru focused his chakra and attempted to make more clones.

Minoru sat down after he made four more clones. After a second of relishing his victory, he had his four counterparts lift him up and carry him over to a nearby tree. He let the clones vanish as a leaf fell from one of the branches onto his face. Maybe this was why it was called the village "hidden in the leaves." There sure were enough trees around to make that possible. Minoru suddenly remembered how little time he had spent in the village. He had barely been there a week, and already he was on his way to becoming a ninja. Sure he wasn't strong enough to fight Moku-sama, or strong enough to be the Hokage, but Minoru didn't want either of those things. Before he had been unsure about what his purpose as a ninja would be. Now he knew that he just wanted to enjoy the wilderness and help out his adopted home however he could.

Conan looked up at Haritenka as he gave a resin for him not being able to learn his clans jutsus. Getting up Conan wanted to touch them because Haritenka said that they were cold so Conan wanted to inspect them. As Conan stood up he found that one of his legs were asleep. As Conan pushed himself up he went right back down again landing on his face. Instantly Conan sat up and grabbed hold of his leg. It had the weird any movement would sting feeling to it. Shaking it a bit Conan was able to stand back up. It was then that Conan realized that it really was colder over near Haritenka. Thinking for a second Conan smiled and said “ I wanna try something.” Conan ran away from Haritenka to the next tree over then started inching his way over to Haritenka. Soon Conan found what he wanted. He jumped towards Haritenka and said “cold” and then jumped back to where he was “ warm” he again jumped back towards the boy “ cold” Conan repeated this five more times before running right up to Haritenka. Conan had this gleam in his eye as he said “Haritenka-kun…..that’s so cool your like an ice man when you go chasing after someone you’ll be all like Freeze and then they will because they’ll be all cold.” Conan felt he said enough and went back to his puchups. As he did then he said “that so cool” and laughed.

Haritenka watched as Conan ran away from him, then he started jumping back and forth. Haritenka started laughing at this, he laughed even harder when Conan had the Freeze comment. He started to laugh so hard he slipped on a patch of ice and fell onto his back. Still laughing he started to get up, and said. "Ya but try sneaking up on someone when everything around you goes cold. Not exactly the easiest thing in the world." He started laughing again from the irony in the 'thats so cool' comment. After he finally got his laughing fit undercontrol. He just looked at Conan. "Did you just notice the cold, it doesn't bother you?" Has he asked this he started on his next handseal.

True, the weather was pristeen and the scene was fairly calm given its intended use. Despite these perfect conditions Tenma found herself unfortunately bored. Everyone was training, either it was something she had already done or something she had seen before. Quite frankly, it just wasn't as entertaining as it used to be; but her observations did bring around one reveltation: some people in this group were quite talented at falling. At least they had that going for them if push came to shove.

In order to pass the time while she regained her energy the child pulled out her syllabus to see what she still had to do. As she scanned her scroll she came upon a concerning revelation; she only had one more task that she could do on her own. After she completed the kawamiri no jutsu she would be forced to work with someone. With a slight grimace she looked around. Most people had either already finished the syllabus or they had just shown up. With a slight bite to her lip the child began considering her options.

Rubbing her temple slightly Tenma considered her options for the partner tasks. After being incapable of thinking of a way around it she simply concluded that she would talk to the sensei and, hopefully, he would simply assign someone to work with her. That would be the only way that she could get this figured out. Unfortunately, Tenma was not a very social creature, but she would interact when the occassion called for it.

With a sigh Tenma let the surroundings help calm her mind. The breeze was cool against her skin, which was honestly what she needed. Her energy had finally returned and she could again feel life in her limbs. They no longer felt heavy or limp. With slight force the girl forced herself to her feet as she prepared herself mentally to take another go at the jutsu; but this time she would transform into a person.

She sighed deep and shook her head. The warmth she thought was chakra was actually her palms starting to sweat. her hopes of getting this were starting to fade, but she sat down with her legs crossed and put herself in a sort of meditation.

Blocking out all sound, but the sound of her breaths and the motion of her hands. She made the first sign she was shown becasue she was more familar with it. The Serpent, it was simple for her , but this wasn't just making hadseals this was discovering the power inside to make them work properly.

Her eyes closed and he waited for a feeling, a rush, something to give her an idea of what she needed.

Minutes passed and nothing came. No rush, no strange feelings, it was hopeless she thought as she lower her hands and placed them on her knees. She didn't know wht to do besides try to remeber if she felt anything while she was training her handseals.

Black and white forms began to form in her mind as she tried to remeber what had happened. She started from the beginning and began to work slowly back to the present, searching for this chakra she had.

Her memories were incomplete, but what she felt imprinted into her mind and the feeling would eventually reoccur if she reenterd the state she was in when she felt it the first time. Maybe a feeling of courage, accomplishment, or maybe just the thought of happiness would work.

Conan did some pushups before stopping again and smiling at Haritenka. He had made him laugh and that made Conan feel amazing. What better pleasure was there then making others happy. Conan smiled again as he said “ yea but then thell get a chill down their backs and before they could do anything you can take them out. It would be like getting attacked by a ghost” Conan tilted his head when Haritenka asked if it bothered him at all. “ why should it? I mean its grate if I ever get all hot and sweaty from heat I can just come and hug you. Then ill be all cooled down.” Conan laughed after saying this but stopped halfway through his laugh. “ not that I would just come out and hug you to cool down… or that I would hug you at all…im gonna go back to doing pushups now” Conan quickly started doing pushups again as his face blushed a light red.
