Crucius smirked. There was no doubt that his friend had guts. Postponing the mark when the Dark Lord offered it himself. "I don't doubt your father had a reasonable reason to do so.." He said with a chuckle. He remembered his sister opting out to postpone the mark on the Halloween ceremony. She always seemed a bit off to him. Somewhere deep inside he couldn't help but doubt where her loyalties lied. After all, she was raised by their Aunt Andromeda, the muggle lover, while their mom was in Azkaban. "Ah, well, regardless, it's less than a week away." .
Carina smiled at the memory, back in second year. She had been afraid to talk to him then, due to what her parents did to his. She felt guilty for it, even though it wasn't her fault. "Well, they weren't really duels, more like fighting when ever we got together. Even then we were different...but vicious just the same." She recalled when she had broken her brother's nose from a punch when they were only six or seven. It was mended easily, but it was still amusing to her.

Raven smiled, laughing a little. "My dad used to hit me with the two lesser of the Unforgiveable Curses. He did it until I could throw them off entirely." She said looking around the corner, hoping that there weren't any other students around, save neville or Draco.

Dimitri smiled, "So soon? Ah, yes. It will be an excellent opportunity to see who is still loyal to the cause and who is a blood traitor. I'm sure having the mark will give us a good idea of who really fights for us in this war." the Russian smiled at his friend. They were so close to what they wanted. So very close to wearing the robes, bearing the mark, and fighting alongside their lord. He smirked and walked with his head held high, not a hair out of place despite dueling Jake only a few minutes ago. Dimitri looked like his classy, elegant self again. He was rather good at that. Like a snake or beautiful spider, Dimitri looked harmless until even slightly provoked. Then, people feared him rather than admired him. Tommy Burnham Jr. walked down to the area where Jake and Dimitri had been dueling and raised an eyebrow, "The hell?" he muttered, squinting his multicolored eyes at the pillars and raising an eyebrow. He shrugged and went into the castle with a frown. He wandered around for a while before seeing Anna-Marie. He blushed instantly, making his red eye stand out even more. The sixth year slowed to a halt, unsure of what to do. The last time Tommy had tried to talk to Anna-Marie had been rather embarrassing, as he hadn't even been able to form a complete sentence. But, at the same time, he knew that Jake kid had an eye on her and couldn't give up a chance to talk to her without that that kid around... Tommy walked forward slowly, blushing, "Um... Hi, Anna-Marie. How're things?" he asked quietly. Tommy was shy about dating. He couldn't help it, he just was. For such an outgoing kid, he was pretty clueless about these types of things.

Christopher walked slowly down the main hall, muttering crazily to himself in German. It was now a week before Halloween and he still had too much work to be done.
"Mutter, Vater. Warum, warum sollten Sie mir nicht helfen? Sie wissen, was die Dunkle erfordert! Agh, ich brauche eure Hilfe!"
Christopher stopped and looked up at the staircase that lead the Ravenclaw common room.
"Ich hasse diese Idioten in dieser Schule. Und die Rätsel sind so einfach. Warum sollten sie auch haben diese?" Christopher muttered to himself.
He shrugged off the thought and walked on past the stair case, heading to God knows where.

((*opens mouth to say something then snaps it shut* ... *goes off to prepare PM*))
Jake heard the cry of the approaching Professor. He also saw Dimitri running off despite the fact that Death Eaters practically ruled the school. The American wanted to scream after the Russian. To coax him back. But he decided against it.
Outside of the school, out in the open he was sorely outmatched. The Russian had an unlimited amount of open space. An area so expanse that Jake had no choice but to put up the pillars. And he had been close. One more pillar and he would have been close enough to gut the pig. But he was denied the opportunity by McGonagall.
The Slytherin descended back into the ground, the pillars coming down at the same time. As soon as the grounds had been morphed they were put back into place and Jake came up out of the ground, inside the school and out of site... Kind of. A bunch of students freaked out at his sudden appearance and the blood on his sword that they ran off screaming.
Jake snapped his blade out and his own blood flicked off cleanly, before he sheathed it, and walked off tearing a piece of cloth off his uniform to bandage his left hand...and find Anna-Marie.

Devin blanched at the area Jake had just left. He looked around swiftly for Dimitri and Crucius. Nada. They had all run off and now he was there to- "Williams! I should have known!" The Slytherin winced in facial expression and physical body. "A fight? Perhaps an unannounced duel. 50 points from Slytherin, and a bit of detention should do you good."
"B- b- b- b- b- but P- P- P- Professor-!" The loyal follower stammered trying to explain himself.
"Don't try to get out of this. You will serve your detention tonight, at my office. Is that understood?"
Devin hung his head in defeat. "Yes ma'am." Somebody owe'd him.

Evans waved to Aideen when she ran off. He blushed deeply and looked to the ground thinking about her and the Huflepuff student from earlier. Then he saw his pen on the floor. The one Aideen dropped. He grabbed it and looked towards the door.
He was nervous. Wondering if he should follow her out, or maybe she asked for it and dropped it to tease her.
Daniel's lower lip quivered a bit at the depressing thought before he swallowed his fears and manned up. "Neville. I'll be right back." He said with more confidence than he really had. And with that he ran out of the Common Room to follow Aideen...wherever she went.

Jillian passed a boy who spoke to himself in a frantic German like language. "How queer." she said with a curious expression on her face. She didn't mean that it was gay, only interesting. She kept walking, her long brown hair swishing behind her as her hips swayed back and forth.

Christopher heard the young girl say something, and amongst his crazy mutterings, he turned towards her; wand already out and pointing straight at her.
"Was? Was war das? Was war das kleine Mädchen?" Christopher almost shouted before switching to English, "What did you just say about me?!"

Crucius nodded. He couldn't believe it wasn't that far off either. "From what I've heard, it's going to be quite an event..." He mused aloud. The last time there had been so many new recruits given the mark on the same day had been not too long before they were born. It was something for their side to be excited about. Well, it would come soon enough. However, at the moment, they had about half an hour before their next class. .
Anna-Marie turned from the window to look at Aideen's concerned face before another called out her name. It was a boy, she believed his name was Tommy. She remembered seeing him before. Actually, he had tried to speak to her once before, but he couldn't utter a word. She had felt kind of awkward, not knowing what to do. Apparently he was now able to speak around her, a good thing, no doubt. "Hi....Tommy, isn't it?" She asked, just to make sure.
Carina looked at her friend in shock. It wasn't really a suprise, but at the same time, it was. "I can hardly believe your dad did that to you." She said, eyes wide. She had already vowed to herself that she would never use those curses unless the situation called for it, a dire desperate situation. "Well, it's glad that you can throw them off at least...It's kinda like what Moody did our fourth year....well, impostor Moody..." .

Jillian stopped, and turned around. She smiled. "I simply said 'How queer'. I did not mean it in any dirogatory mannor, simply that it was curious that yu were speaking to youself in, German, was it?" she said turning back around, her long brown hair fanning out a little as she did so. "If you're going to curse me, then go ahead, but don't think that you'll still look so handsome if it hits me." she said her back to him. Jillian was really a huge softy, and didn't like to duel. She had learned over the years, however, never to let someone walk all over you.*edited*
Raven nodded. "Yea, but he was right. I am thankful to him. I still have a scar from it too. I remember walking aroun trying to fight off my dad's control, and I burnt myself on the stove." It was a fond memory if truth be old It was the first tim she wasable to actually throw off her father. "You know, I wonder what ever happened to Moody." She said thoghtfully.

More death eaters around the castle? And immature ones at that. What are we going to do? Aideen was still in shock from what Anna-Marie had just told her. She wondered what was going to happen to her, her family, her friends, her way of life. The whole world as she knew it would be changed if the Dark Lord succeeded. And not just the wizarding world, Aideen thought, but even the muggle world. Aideen was pulled out of her worried melancholy thoughts by the sound of a voice calling out to Anna-Marie. "OH!" she half whispered when she realized that it was Tommy. Aideen could tell that Tommy liked Anna-Marie; she was fantastic at knowing if anyone was interested in her friends but awful when it came to anyone being interested in her. Aideen decided that she should leave those two alone so they could talk; she didn't want to get in Tommy's way since he had finally gotten up enough courage to actually talk to Anna-Marie instead of just floundering around trying to form coherent phrases.
As Aideen gathered her belongings she remembered why she went to the Astronomy Tower in the first place; aside from panicking and getting away from Daniel, she had to fetch her lucky feather quill that she had accidentally left in there. It was a falcon feather quill that belonged to her grandmother. After quickly checking to make sure she had everything, Aideen left the Astronomy Tower, leaving Tommy to speak to Anna-Marie. When Aideen reached the door she turned around, "I'll see you later, Anna-Marie " she called out. As Aideen began to make the cross back to the Gryffindor rooms she ran into none other than Daniel Evans. She felt her cheeks grow warm when she saw him. Aideen, get a hold of yourself! she mentally scolded herself. Aideen took a deep breath and tried to muster up some courage. Aideen decided to speak, Uh....Hi again, Daniel.

"...Flattery will get you everywhere." Christopher said before stowing his wand. "Next time, watch what you say Fräulein, or I might not be so forgiving." Christopher muttered before sighing. He looked up and down the girl, his gray eyes seeming to pierce her soul.
"So little miss, what is your name?" He asked, trying to distract her using his charm.

Evans grew redder than this here text color. He looked down to avoid eye contact with Aideen as he held out his pen in an outstretched hand. "You dropped this, and I was going to give it back to you." He managed to get out, his fear and shyness coming back up and out of his throat.

Jake had somehow able to get lost. He was on his way to the Astronomy tower but found himself...elsewhere. Next to Raven and Carina in fact. He stopped walking just beside them as he looked further down the hall and frowned deeper than he had been. He overheard Raven's wonders and he checked the digital watch on his wrist for the time. "I heard he bought it." Was his answer without looking at them. "Damn shame. I really liked the guy. But it also gives you a sense of feel that no one is as powerful as they seem. Not even Voldemort." Crack! The Slytherin winced and looked outside. "Sorry!" He yelled, as if the Death Eaters could really hear him.

Aideen noticed that Daniel's face was quite red, redder than her hair, which was quite red. That's odd, she thought. Aideen gently took the pen from Daniel's hand, her hand accidentally touched his for a brief moment. A fire quickly spread across Aideen's cheeks and she began twirling the pen around her fingers, turning it into a gymnast swinging about the high beam. Pen twirling was a nervous habit that she had always had since she could remember, and over time it eventually became something of a talent. "Why, thank you Daniel," Aideen said, genuinely touched by the action. "I really do appreciate you letting me borrow this, but I actually ran off to the Astronomy Tower to get my lucky quill. You can...you can have it back now. " Aideen stopped flipping the pen around her fingers and held it out to Daniel. "Again, thank you so much." Aideen blushed and began to absentmindedly twirl the pen again. This time her adroitness in this task failed her and the pen flew out of her fingers. Aideen tried to catch the pen, but ended up fumbling around like a bad juggler and eventually the pen came crashing to the floor. The red in her cheeks intensified. "I'm such a clutz." she murmured as she stooped to pick the pen up.

Daniel blushed a deeper shade of red than possible when their hands touched, and his eyes seemed mesmerized by the pen twirling she had been doing. But when it dropped, it broke him out of his trance. At the same time she spoke, he did so as well. "Here let me get that for you." He insisted before stooping down himself.
His overeagerness caused him to move more quickly than his mind could act and he bumped his head against Aideen's rather hard, just as his fingers wrapped around the fallen muggle pen.
