Nope, only time I do that is when making a transition. Such as:
Moving foward he would then slice his blade down in a diagnol cleave that would sunder from shoulder to groin.

Sheesh, Nihil. That's a LOT of info.
Omigosh, I'm on Dial-up and I have like 10 windows open. Not good.
Very not good.
BTW, Omi: You have not supplied a valid Topic ID and Page, or you did not specify a valid Post ID.
According to Gaia.
Lone Wolf: I hate the "would," too.
Nihil: I still have yet to figure out how a bunch of the thing would work, also.
These would be really helpful, I'll attempt to read some sometime, if I have time. X.x

I kinda use it as it rolls. If it makes since & fits, than.. 'eh. I don't use "would" every other line, though - I can see where that'd get annoying as Hell. XD
Though, according to many, "RP + PAST TENSE IS DA s**t LIKE OH MY GAWD!". And since we can't assume we did something to harm our opponent, except in certain examples.. "would" is a lovely word to use. It establishes that it CAN happen, but hasn't.
But, it could be reworded. domokun

I've used would. Have nothing against it. I'm against needless repetition of the same term several times in one post when it could easily be varied up. That applies to all words. Would is just the one I've noticed being abused somewhat.

Blah, have a good 15 windows open, now. Annnnd my left speaker is crapping out on me.
Bleh.
Omi: Starts on page 9..? Or what page..?
And like...I'll read it in a sec. This is honestly the most active nighttime I've ever had online.
Someone is comissioning me to make them a model of an Oblivion weapon, I'm attempting to figure out how to make customizable ships, and learn stuff from Nihil...And will attempt to read that sometime soon..
Aie. My windows are confusing me. >>
Oh, and I get annoyed by "would" also. In case I didn't say that...But I think I did.

Kenshin, actually, end of page 8.

And Chaos, too true. Though, if someone were to cut off my airflow prior to me breathing, without so much as a vague hint at pulling something to do so prior, I'd make a lengthy joke-post having my character, in detail, breath in again and again, before kicking them in the crotch - male OR FEMALE or even neither - then, summon FPS Doug to BOOM HEADSHOT!!1 them.
Naturally, Clash would delete said post after he's brought into the scene - but there you are. domokun

I only used "would" in the case of me utterly devastating my opponent with an attack or something like that.

Seems my opponent in Barton does not have that good of reading comprehension. That or is willfully ignoring details of my post.

Hiya, Jak.
Kharn has all kinds of back-up doodads in case of breathing failure. And heart failure. Brain failure too. Right? I'm pretty sure 'cause I read your profile for whatever reason that day I randomly came across it.
Personally I'm still not quite over how I randomly found and read that thing only for you to show up in my usual hangout thread with that same character the very next day.
Life is freaky sometimes.

Will being reading the thing as soon as these distractions are gone. Yaa. "I only used "would" in the case of me utterly devastating my opponent with an attack or something like that." Oh, I'm guessing it's the willfull part, call me paranoid; but I had painted him into a nasty corner and he comes out of it as though he's perfect and says nothing about the damages Clash has agreed I've inflicted upon him, contradicts what he's stated about his negation field, and somehow performs an action before he stops another one and has the tenacity to toss grenades at me.
The grenades didn't bother me, the rest of it does.

A few grenades are better than a dozen swords materializing instantly out of thin-air all around you in close proximity and then immediatly shooting into you at the speed of sound while also being tipped with poison.
Though I suppose the end result of death is the same either way.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, and the swords also hit with the relative force of large boulders pounding into you, apparently.
