The X-winged soared through hyperspace, racing toward Sullust.
Once her nav computer signaled that she was at the squad's destination, Zendia then began to revert back to realspace. The lines reverted back to stars, with the world of Sullust clearly visible as a rocky globe.

Zendia couldn't help but laugh. "That's about right!"
However, any mirth that could be had was short lived, as Zendia's sensors picked something up. "Squad on our one o' clock - squints by the looks of them!"

"Sapphire, quad lock those laser cannons and keep the shields at max." Azure said as she prepared to fight.

"A-wings, you knwo what to do," Orrin said, pushing the throttle to maximum and feeling the full power of the compensators at work. He pressed several buttons, allowing the compensators to work less, and diverted the power to weapons.
Blowing past the formation, the A-wing was far faster than the X at pure speed, and the missle locks caught onto all four TIEs. Orrin fired two missles, directed towards teh middle two, while angling the cannons to cover the other pair on the vertical axis. Firing his blasters, the bolts streaked by the TIEs, before catching both in the fire. Orrin rolled his craft, shifting the bolts to hit various parts of the TIEs without missing a beat. The four exploded as the A-wing blew through the formation.
"That's just the scout party. Sensors showing bogey confirmation up all over the place. Approximentally four squadrons of TIE fighters coming from seven o'clock low, backed up by a squadron of Interceptors two o'clock high. Desginate targets according to speed and design. A-wings, you're with me on the interceptors."
More red blips appeared on the sensors. "Watch out, corvettes just pinged me, beware fire from that Tartan Cruiser. Estimated time of engaugement, one minute twelve seconds."

"I see it, old man," Zendia replied, seeing the Tartan show up on the horizon. "You guys take the squints, and we'll poke some eyeballs." She then rolled her X-wing, diving to meet the TIEs. "Rusty, let's try dual fire on for size, and keep that forward shield cranked up with as much juice as you can give it," she said, the primer and rust colored astromech tweedling an affirmative.
"Azure, Joker, Owen, on me," she said, giving yet another nickname for the Zabrak pilot with a small laugh. As the TIEs drew closer, Zendia also said, "Want to crank something else up for us? Something to get the blood pumping?" she asked, as Rusty gave an electronic chuckle. In her scant downtime, she had come to enjoy various tunes from assorted Outer Rim worlds, that some have come to refer to as "heavy metal". "Not too loud, though - we want to be sure we can hear what others are saying!" she laughed.
As the first TIE sailed into her crosshairs, Zendia squeezed the trigger, giving a spin to the craft so that the eyeball would be shredded to unrecognizable junk. "Steel lady in an X-wing, indeed!" she dryly chuckled as the TIE disintegrated.

Owen opened the throttle up to maximum, rocketing towards the TIEs. As he got closer, he slowed down a bit, blasting a imperial fighter into smithereens. "Yahoo!" He called, pulling up, then jerking himself around to face another TIE. "I know it's getting old, but Let's win this thing!"

"Just give me your best, that's all I ask," Zendia said to Owen cheerfully, taking a hard juke to starboard in time to evade a blast from another TIE. She then throttled her stick hard back to port, sending yet another Imperial pilot a one-way ticket to oblivion.

Azure flew towards the TIE fighters with the others. As soon as one came into her targeting area she fired away. The laser blasts hit the TIE in the middle and it exploded into a fire ball.

"Rusty, crank up those shields," Zendia said, weaving her way through a torrent of TIE fire, before executing a hard climb starboard.

As Owen flew his X-wing, maneuvering through a barrage of green blasterfire, he noticed an interceptor deftly tailing an X-wing, outside of sensor range, but closing fast. Whose was it? He wondered, before having his R2 droid confirm the pilot for him.
"Zendia! You've got an interceptor coming in on your tail fast!" he called, doing a barrel roll to dodge more fire, and maneuvering to intercept the interceptor.

Gendis was there a split second later, flying through the interceptor's wreckage at an impossible speed. Impossible, that is, without diverting shield energy to the engines. "I saw it first!" he said, sing-song, before plowing towards another interceptor that exploded before it saw him coming. He kept the laser cannons rotated slightly downwards, so he could blast the fighters as he soared past them at full speed.

"Thanks for the heads-up, Owen," Zendia said, banking a sharp turn to port. With that, she saw the damndest thing: Gendis's A-wing speeding through the wreakage of the squint that was tailing her.
She then flashed a thumbs-up to the speeding A-wing. "Thanks, Gendis," she chuckled.

((Time to jump in. Anyone want to give me a briefing lol ))
The squaad jumped in one at a time, all X-wings unfolding their flaps and accelerating to attack mode. Nathar Rinks sat comfortably in his seat, using the instruments to guid him. He looked around for the battle while his ship banked slightly.
"This is Topaz-6, jumped cleared and ready to assist."
