"Hm? Rai'o..." she says inside the space of her head. She then turns towards the land, and towards the sky, smiling, "It's so peaceful here. I enjoy spending time here, like my Labyrinth. You could almost say that they were where I lived. To me, this place ... was always realer than my own home. Because I knew that it existed in my imagination, while the land of Fade was built on Illusion. The line between illusion and real was quite ambiguous ... but here... This place is real in the extent that it exists here, inside my head at least. And because it was possible to discern that it is not real in the physical world around me, it made it feel more real to me. If...that makes any sense."

"I've never seen a plant die... or even a plant living. I always knew by their smell and feel. My parents taught me that in winter, the plants lose their leaves and color. I used to be a weapon's appraiser though in my father's forge! Mostly for blades, though. It turns out that each sword sings a song when thumped, swung or drawn, and by listening to how harmonious it sounded could help me determine if there were flaws. If the sound had awkward breaks, it meant there was a flaw in the steel. Appearently many time they can't be seen with the naked eye!" I say back to Mashai'i, taking a bite out of the apple (or what I assumed to be as such) after my story.

Manra: "Yes, The Fade is a curious place," Rai'o replies. "This place is definitely more easily discernible from reality than The Fade."
Moriah: "Ah, yes," Mashai'i says. "This is interesting...do tell me more!"
Everyone: We can skip along whenever you're ready.

"Yeah, my blade is actually three tunes that play in harmony with each other! I heard thatit was forged with three hardnesses of steel to minimize weight, maximize cutting power, and still hold it's own from impact!" I say to Mashai'i. "Is there anything you like to do?"

Manra smiled and giggled softly. "Yes. Though, sometimes it's exactly because of that that even though I've never been to a place like this outside of here, until I left the Fade, seeing the sky here, the bottomless lake, it all was...almost too real. Almost that...because it didn't exist in the Fade but it existed here, perhaps somewhere else it is like here too? I mean, I guess it seems silly to see a floating city in the sky all flip flopped, but it's still..nice. And the idea of the possibility is always ... intriguing."
(Off of Cocoa: ... Whenever everyone else is ready to time skip, I'll probably just be stuck being philosophical in my mind for a while.)

Kirino notices Atlanta coming over to her. She blushes and looks down shyly, "Um, hello." She says softly. {O.O.C I'm set to move ahead.}

Everyone: You travel along the border of the No Man's Land for about three and a half miles. Here, you see a group of thugs. However, they do not bother you. Three and a quarter miles later, you find yourselves needing to rest. After a short rest, you travel for three more miles. Here, Hahai'i stop you. "All right," he says. "About a mile from here is the Water Legion's domain. The quickest way to Lasai'ei from here is through the Water Legion. It would take us a week or two to go around, where as it will take a couple days to cross through it. I say we stop here and—" "But if we stop here, we'd be burning daylight!" Fi'hai says. "We should go to the Water Legion and ask for help from the—" Before Fi'hai can finish his statement, you all hear a rather familiar sound: harpies' shrill cries. A whole flock can be seen converging on your location.
Atlanta: You recognize these harpies as those that initially cast you out. It would appear that they have changed their hunting grounds for some reason...
Everyone: "Oh, damn it all," Rai'o mutters. "Now what?!"

As confused as I am about their change in hunting grounds, I'm more angry at running into them than anything.
THEM! THEY WILL PAY!
I let out a shrill, rageful battle cry and take to the air, my eyes glowing red with rage.

The numerous shrill screeches from Atlanta and the other harpies pierces my ears like a drill does to the heavens. I close my eyes tightly and clasp my hands over my ears in an attempt to block out some of the sounds. I let out a more pained cry. Looks like we need to fight them... but they have an advantage of flight, many of them with only one of us, I guess I'll need to level the odds! I draw my sword and stab it into the Earth, focusing on using my ring to focus on creating a complex network of sharp floating stones in the air to make flying incredibly difficult without running into the earthen barricade.

Manra becomes slightly scared of Atlanta as she goes ioff in a battle mode, "Wait...Is she trying to prove them right?" she asks, confused. She stays close to Rai'o.

Atlanta: "What are you doing here?!" the leader calls. Her angry voice is as shrill and violent as always.
Moriah: You have no issues creating this barricade. As you do so, you hear several cries: you hit some of them already!
Manra: "I don't know..." Rai'o mutters. "But we may have to fight...again..."
Everyone: "What have you done to my warriors?!" the leader demands as several of the harpies are taken down by Moriah's flying rocks. You have the option of following Atlanta and Moriah's actions and staying to either attack the harpies or defend yourselves from them. However, if enough of you run or try to negotiate, that will trigger instead of combat. I will let everyone post their first actions before I declare what is going to happen. For now, combat is NOT active, but you may attack if that is your desire.

I realize that many in our group may be a little weary of fighting right now. And if we fight now, it will only make our progress to our next destination slower IF we win. And, considering that I'm the only true avian here aside from Jima'ei, we're at a disadvantage.
"STAND DOWN!" I yell at my group. "I will settle this! They cast me out, but that doesn't mean that I no longer have my pride as a harpy! This is a personal matter, so I will deal with them!"
I turn my attention back to the leader of the flock. "I am simply passing through with my friends. I wasn't even aware that you pathetic lot had changed hunting grounds." I let out a very avian hiss. "Right now I have every reason you burn you all to a crisp, but I won't if you leave now." I charge up energy and allow it to circle menacingly in the air around me. Fi'hai, keep the others back unless I say so.

"It's best not to, though." Manra says, "Rather though, it's their ... judging the outside that has caused this, or so...Atlanta had said. No...different than you calling me arrogant only ... because i am Elfin. Still, it would be best if this were peaceful and no one else had to be injured."

I am not afraid of taking on flying opponents, but if Atlanta thinks we should stand down, I will follow her lead. Though, in the event that negotiations are unsuccessful, I begin gathering energy but do not manifest it so that I do not appear aggressive.
