Bast smirked slightly at the sight of Tetsuhiko's contraption, but refrained from commenting on it for the moment. They had some ground to cover, and she imagined it wouldn't go as quickly as she was used to since she wasn't going alone. That made enough sense, at least. Before they departed, she called over a guard and told them to be on the lookout for Sonyo, then affixed a wide hat not unlike the ones worn by the Kage to her head. It was as white as her robes, making her look almost radiant under the desert sun.
"Alright, let's go," she told Damien and Tetsuhiko. Her stride was long as she started away from the Village and her every movement was very sharp and precise. "Don't forget to stay hydrated and watch out for snakes."
When Bast-sensei gave the alert to follow her Tetsuhiko twitched his fingers and began moving his puppet forward. Bast's advice was duly noted as usual as he followed her. The marionette made loud, heavy steps as it followed her from behind. Nonetheless the marionette's gate was confident and impressive. Tetsuhiko felt invincible in his puppet.

A party of 5 arrived at the gates of Suna, they were met at the gates by the guards A short, pale, fit lady probably around Lucius' age. Was at the head and bowed to the guards."Hello, my name is Petrel Ianthine, We were to have a meeting with the Kazekage of Sunagakure at the wind temple, we must of gotten the location or time wrong. So we decided to come to suna directly. Would she be available to see us?"

One of the ANBU looked at woman and radioed the kazekage. After a few moments he looked at her again, "My lady Kazekage apologizes as she has had many new things pop up. She asks that you wait here just a moment longer and she will be right over." He said as he motioned for the rest of the anbu to bring chairs and shade for the travellers.
Ayame poofed into existence at the gates and almost rolled her eyes at the immediate presence of the ANBU. She inclined her head as she placed her hand on Daichi's shoulder. "I do apologize Petrel I have had an influx of students and they take a lot of time to get situated. I do hope your travel wasn't too bad." She said raising her head.

Petrel nodded and thanked the anbu as they offered seats and shade for them. She happily and quietly sat and waited for the kazekage. As she appeared before them Petrel stood and brushed off any dirt or sand that might have blown on her. As she stood he gave a bow to the Kazekage."Do not worry Lady Kazekage, while I've never been a teacher or taught students. I do have children so I imagine its something like that times 20 or so depending on the graduates right?"She made a small laugh at the thought of 20 children running around."Our travels went fine, the monks at the temple were very hospitable." Petrel then produced passports and id's for herself and her companions."As you might be aware, we are representing the Kurokasa family in Gimangakure. We come to meet with you to dicuss matters that could benefits both of our villages."
Bast slowed her pace somewhat as her group approached the Gates, her gaze on the figure of Petrel Ianthine. She reported to one of the guards that the trip had gone as planned, then motioned for her students to head into the Village. She stuck to the side of the crevice that was shaded as she walked slowly in, nodded to Ayame, and then took up post on the Village side of the gates, her attention on the visitor.

Ayame nodded, "I'm glad you were treated well." She said as the ANBU took the papers from the group. "I hope that it shall, but I warn you we have not heard good things about Giman. So I hope you'll understand that my ANBU are going to most likely stay on alert.
__ Once he arrived at the crevice behind Bastet-sensei. As they approached he slowed down simultaneously with Bast and approached the area. He noticed the Kazekage was there and made sure to straighten out especially. "I hope coming back to the village with the great Bastet Miyamoto will impress her." The Iron Prince thought, but perhaps it was just wishful thinking. He gave a nod of acknowledgment to the guards. When Bastet stopped he approached her and spoke in a low, unobtrusive voice. "I'm going to the Superdome and the training grounds for a while. Thank you for taking me along." He bowed deeply to her and the Kazekage before exiting.

Fukuwa Tokugawa walked through the earthern crevice with his hands in the pockets of his seasonal haori, where he usually kept all his clay. Usually it was his defensive combat stance, but he had gotten used to walking like that in every day life, always prepared for the worst. His scarf was pulled up around his neck and mouth, the silly tongue design on it placed exactly where it was meant to be, giving him a somewhat comical appearance despite his laid-back demeanor.
At the end of the crevice he could spot the who he was looking for, the Kazekage of the village. While he had never interacted with her himself, his parents were long-time shinobi who showed him some time ago what she looked like in old photos. White hair, blue eyes, olive-toned skin and the aura of power which was carried by any worthwhile power. Eh...is it really in my right to speak to her right now? He pondered, knowing that it was customary for new Genin to check with their Kage upon graduation. but she seemed busy. Still, others were already training and he was getting left behind with every moment he just waited around.
Making it to the other side of the crevice, he waited for the Kazekage to finish speaking before he opened his mouth. "You missed one new Genin, Kazekage-dono. Fukuwa Tokugawa. I blow things up well and I can hit pretty hard. I'm pretty sure you don't have any headbands to give outside of your office, but I was just checking in for now." He said, raising a hand out of his haori pocket to wave it at Ayame, revealing the mouth on his palm. If that didn't explain the whole "blowing things up well" then he didn't know what would. Something like that only happened with Bakuton-born children.
James gazed out over the great desert through the rush of wind and swirl of thin clouds. The moment he had hit the air of his homeland his lungs seemed to fill deeper, his weariness seemed to fade some, and the strain of his muscles as great Alucard banked in the wind seemed to lessen. Sunagakure was his home, but it had been a long time since he had seen its great expanse. Too long ago had he left family and friends to see what had happened to a mentor, but the search had only yielded mixed results.
James leaned over and called to Alucard over the wind.
"There my mighty friend, that great rock formation is where we need to land. That is the entrance to the city!"
"I see it James, will there be prey there?"
"No Alucard, but the desert teems with prey in the moonlight if you do not wish to return home. You have already helped me greatly."
"I will try my skill in your desert this night, and if it is to barren, then I will find blood in my homeland."
"Well enough my friend, Take us down."
James and Alucard landed outside of the entrance to the city with a thump of the great house sized bat on the soft desert sands, and the broad shouldered ninja leap off of the great bat and stretched to his full height. He walked to the entrance with his normal stalking gait Alucard rumbling behind.

Ayame looked to the genin that appeared and smiled, It's nice to see another new face, and actually, she said pulling a headband from her haori, I usually carry around a few of them. She continued tossing the headband to Fukuwa's open palm. Most of the genin as far as I know are in the academy. If you wish to join them. Ayame then turned toward Petrel, Lady Petrel I am certain we can work these things out if you would follow the ANBU and Lady Bast to our library you may give her the information and copy what you are needing. As she gave Petrel a smile and wave to Lady Bast, Ayame and Daichi's heads whipped around at a noise and a familiar scent hit their noses. He couldn't possibly be here. He'd been gone for so long. When that familiarly large figure walked closer and the scent became stronger, Ayame's knees almost buckled. Daichi barked, walked beside Ayame as she walked forward. She met the man half way her hands in fists at her sides You left...you all left. She said through gritted teeth, before rearing back using her increased speed and strength to punch James directly in the jaw. Daichi moved then, coming between the two and pushed his tamer back with his body. He stayed between them keeping his eyes on James, I hold no ill will toward you James, and I know she threw the first punch, but do not harm her. He said with a small warning growl. Ayame couldn't see James over Daichi's large frame and she was glad of it. She buried her face in his fur trying to hold back tears. So many things were running through her mind. Where had been? Why had he left and not told her? And why had she punched him in the face?

James saw Ayame walking to him from the gate, and his breath seemed to catch in his chest for a moment at the sight of his lover after so much time past. He base heart rate spiking at the sight of him and her pheromones spiking as a wash of emotions hit her. He saw it all with his biosense.
He could have moved. Ayame was a tiny bit faster than him, but he had the edge of seeing the blow coming with his special senses giving hi her data. The hit was powerful, hard enough to kill a man by far, but James wasn't some average Joe.
The punch broke his Left cheekbone with a crack, the bone fracturing but not shattering thanks to James hardened body. James feet shifted, his instincts keeping him from falling from the hit, as his chakra moved to repair the damage he had taken with just a thought. He was the greatest of Suna's medics after all.
"I'll not hurt her Daichi" He said as his face mended. His hand reached out to gently thump the horse sized wolf on the chest in a familiar pat. " but your large a** is a much better door than a window, and I need to speak with her."
"You can let her through, It will take more than she will throw at me willfully to kill me."

Daichi sighed and nodded circling to the back of his tamer as she let go of his fur. Ayame looked at James her blue-green eyes flashing, I'm not apologizing for what I did. She said putting her hand once again in Daichi's fur as he sat beside her, towering over even her 5ft 8 frame. All of you left me within the span of weeks. Asami, the twins, Hoshi, and even Theodin. She said putting her other hand over her heart. She may not have carried Theodin within her, but he had still been her son and his leaving had hurt just as bad as James's. I've had to keep a mask on since then, so that no one thinks of me as weak. I break within the halls of our home, the only time I'm truly alone. How many times I've wanted to just burn it to the ground. Ayame let go of Daichi and wrapped her arms around herself. She had been a wolf without her mate and she had very nearly broken. Daichi whined and nuzzled Ayame's cheek, The house smells of sadness and loneliness. He said wrapping his tail around Ayame's legs. That's why she stays in the office more and more every day.

James didn't expect to have her apologize. She hadn't hurt him, not really. He could heal anything that didn't obliterate him or someone else. All it had caused was pain and chakra, and he had plenty of chakra and plenty of familiarity with pain.
"I had no idea that everyone else would leave Ayame, but I am sorry that I left without telling you. I'm not expecting you to be happy with me over that choice, but I needed to find out what was happening out in the rest of the world. I went looking for who we had lost."
James held his arms out to her. "All I can say is I'm here now if you will have me, and I have no intention of leaving again."
