To whomever confided that from the mule, If you need someone to talk to on the matter, I'm here.
I've been pretty much going through a huge bout of depression almost all the time lately.
If you need someone to talk to, I would gladly lend an ear.
It would be nice to have someone to talk to on the matter, also.

no but seriously, if Simba had just stayed with Timon and Pumbaa, beating himself up over things that already happened and telling himself everything would have been better if he'd never been born, Scar would never have been stopped and things would just have gotten worse. Going back and thinking "what if I'd done this" or "what if I hadn't done that"... well, it's important to acknowledge things you could have done better, but the only practical application for that is knowing what to do next time a similar problem arises. You can't change the past, but you can change the future, and that starts with what you do in the present.
I used to feel like you do very often. I'm not gonna force 'em down your throat, but if you ever wanna talk about life or anything, I could offer you some perspectives that did worlds of good for me.
