Lauren couldn't believe what the radio was saying. Over a hundred degrees?! They'd roast like beef paddies!
She dug around in her pack and sprayed some sunblock on and pulled out an over-sized umbrella. She held it over her and Caecilla's heads with one hand and held on to the rampardos with the other.

 As usual Carter had woken up quite a bit later than he would have liked. Beneath him the Arcanine shifted, giving a great yawn and Carter smacked his shoulder lightly, "You're supposed to be an alarm clock buddy, that means you wake ME up when the sunrises." Rolling his eyes he pushed away from the mass of fur and straightened, stretching catlike.
Yero snorted and curled up even further, burying his head from his trainer. "Oh you great lug!" With a shake of his head Carter recalled his friend, tucking him safely at his belt. "You were probably up all night on the lookout weren't you? Alright, get some sleep, I'll let you out when we reach our destination and you can check it out."
Now what? Carter began moving about the base camp, washing his face of the dirt from the rockslide and generally packing his things for the ride ahead. To anyone

@Anyone "Gooood morning!" Meeka chimed to her Pidgeot and Pikachu when they first arose from sleep.
Terri gave a brief yawn, terribly angry the sun had to rise that day. On the other hand, Avella was pipped up and ready to go, stretching out her wings and feeling the energy of a good sleep. Pointing to Terri, Meeka told the Pikachu to gather whatever items were necessary. She pointed to Avella next and the Pidgeot nodded her head. Its duty was to collect anything usable within the area -- berries, edible plants, water via a canteen, etcetera.
By her Pokegear alone, it told her the weather would be rising soon. It was a good idea to send out Avella to scavenge. Stretching once more and changing into her clothes, Meeka made her way to the campfire to sizzle up some breakfast for her Pokes. If someone was lucky, she'd also throw out a semi-frozen flapjack for them to eat too.

"Well, I'll have to keep an eye out for both of them. It completely slipped my mind that they were heading up to Motterossa," Oyumi replied, laughing softly and absently rubbing her next. She hummed thoughtfully before shrugging absently.
"I can't even remember. We've been traveling together for what seems like forever. I only recently became a Gym Assistant, so I can't travel with them as much as I used too," she explained lightly, smiling and glancing around. "I'm just glad I was able to join up with this group. I actually signed up at the very last minute. It's a miracle Bob still had a Ponyta I could borrow."
At the Kacen's suggestion, she was quick to nod.
"Yeah, that sounds good. I'm sure they're around here somewhere."

@Anyone Alexa woke up with the sun shining on her face. Sitting up in her sleeping bag she yawned and stretched her arms. "Wake up sleepy heads." She prodded Vincent and Apolla. Stribog was sleeping on one of the packs, as far as he could get from the two other pokemon. After taking care of her sleeping back, she went through the food pack and found some squished muffins. She grabbed those and made her way towards the main fire, Apolla in tow. "Good morning."

I smiled up at the pair and added the muffins to the collection plate. "I got muffins." I muttered, then looked up as Kayla joined the waking world. "Hey! Come wake up with us! We have muffins!" I called, smiling.
(Why does everyone keep mentioning a shower in the wilderness?)

@Danny and Kayla Meeka gave a merry salute to the male and flipped her pancake with the other. "Good morning!" she chimed again, sounding very peppy for having a horrible sleep. "How's you? Want a pancake? I've got several more where this came from."
Meeka turned to Kayla and chuckled. "She's reeeeaally feisty though. Nearly pecked my face off when I first met her . . . "

Kitty Sprightt  Corn woke where she had been contemplating last night under a tree. She was a little damp with dew, a little stiff, and a little hungry, but otherwise no worse for wear.
Woah, time out. Not a little hungry. Turns out skipping dinner after a long day of hard work is not a good idea!
Hastily stuffing some trail rations in her mouth, Corn let Emily and her Onix out of their Pokeballs. If she was starving, no doubt they would be ravenous! She set about feeding the Pokemon she'd borrowed. Kaskia grab a piece of bread, before getting back onto her feet. As she ate the bread she walked around the camp. She wasn't sure what she should do until the left. She let out a sigh, before stuffing her mouth full of bread. As moved though the green camp, she notice someone else waking up. She figure the best thing to do right now would be to talk with someone. "Hello," she called out, walking over.

((@ anyone 'round the campfire)) Opal shifted under her blankets and opened her eyes. She sat up against Ursalyn and stretched. It was stifling today... She reached over to her Pokegear and listened to the forecast... 101 degrees and sunny. A good day for traveling. Opal put on her hairband and changed into a tank top and shorts. She was going to need some sunscreen. Still stretching out the sleep from her body, she woke Nerezza and the two walked over to the campfire where others were already joining around.

 As the light of the sun began to warm the day, Anise shifted and rooled in her blankets, then sat up with a yawn. Another day had dawned on their journey. Rubbing here eyes, she got up and headed towards the stream to wash her face and get some water for cooking.

Yawning again, Lumina did a few brief stretches. She didn't have much packing to do, with the only thing left was to roll up her sleeping bag that she was using as a chair cushion on the log. "Someone say hot weather?" She asked, arching a brow.
She was all for sun shine and happiness, but despite being outside so often, the watcher had overly pale skin and burned quite easily. With a sigh, she pulled out the sunscreen and the umbrella, planning on using both to ward off the rays. "Hey, wasn't it raining the day before? Dang weather is as fickle as a newborn pokemon."

@ Ori and anyone else around the campfireAlexa was just sitting down when Opal came over. "Hey Opal!" She said waving. Her stomach was growling as she smelled the bacon and pancakes cooking. "Sorry about disappearing on you yesterday. I made the mistake of letting Stribog out of his pokeball around Vincent." She opened the bag of muffins and gave one to Apolla.
