Kyoshi thought about it for a moment. Did he want to go back? It would mean that he would be closer to Dusk in location sense and maybe build their relationship but did he want to? He sighed. "It's okay Dusk. Thanks for offering but, no. There's no way she will listen." He wanted to smile but he didn't have it in him to grace anyone with a smile. "I'll see you whenever okay? Be safe." He turned and walked slowly away.

Joker clapped his hands. "It is my pleasure. Now. Who's hungry?" Gambler rose her hand in the air like a student in school. "I am!!" She threw the towel over her shoulder, letting her semi wet curly hair loose down her back. "Make some...." She looked at Kalore, Rave and Eldin. "What would you guys like to eat?" She asked.

All three elves just looked at eachother. Rave shook his head, "Anything you all have is fine by me." "Um...I eat really anything," Eldin smiled a shy smile. Kalore just shrugged, "I'm not hungry so I don't really care..." Hitting Kal in the ribs, Rave reprimanded him for his bad manners. The younger boy giggled a bit at this. The blonde elf hit Eldin in the head, "Don't forget, I can still kick your a**..." This was said in Elvish, but it served Kalore another hit in the head by Rave. "Behave."

Dusk was shocked that Kyoshi's answer actually hurt her a bit. "Oh...ok..." Turning around, the girl began slowly walking away. Was it over? More than likely, her and Kyoshi would never get back together, actually he was probably going to get killed in one of his jobs like a few of Dusk's friends did. But she refused to think like that. Maybe...maybe this was for the best.

That's what she hoped.

Gambler watched fascinated by the exchange between the three elfs. It was interesting and when Kalore spoke in his native tongue is was really nice. She was beginning to like them more and more. Since they were from a different place it's no wonder. She liked to learn about different people and their cultures. Shrugging she went to the kitchen and pulled up enough chairs around the one table in the middle of the kitchen.

It was a good sized kitchen that you could fix ten large men like Monty in and still have room.

Joker motioned for the elves to follow him. Arriving in the kitchen, the insane man went to work on getting ingredients and starting up the stove. "Prepare yourselfs for a feast of your life." He said.

Kyoshi walked away and regret filled him. He should have said yes. It was putting more effort into rebuilding their relationship but he just didn't have it in him. He needed time to try and heal his wounds, both physically and emotionally. He needed time to himself, even if it ment spending time in his closet to shut every element out. Life would suck but he rather deal with annoying hit jobs than deal with feelings. He sighed again and went into the alleyways.

A dark figure was ahead of him. His arm lift up and shot off a few rounds at Kyoshi, one bullet hitting him in the shoulder. He staggered a bit and pulled his gun out, shooting off his rounds and nailing the guy in the head. 'What a warm welcome.' He thought.

Dusk stopped dead in her tracks, hearing the gun shots. "Kyoshi..." She whispered. Her hearing was better than the average humans, but not near as good as say...Kalore's. But, a gun shot in an alleyway is something that can be heard easily. She took a few steps in the direction, still in Area 39, but didn't enter the Area. What if he wouldn't want her there? Dusk just stared, becoming sad.

Who knew that not caring was such an impossible feat?

Kalore shrugged, "Ok." And followed, Rave nodded, being polite. Eldin made a slight, "Yes!" gesture and sound, happy. The boy was small, but he ate more than Kalore and Rave combined...

Gambler had taken out a box of cards. She got her name from making a few risky gambles and well it landed her in a good position. Boss. She watched Joker move around the kitchen with ease. She played with the cards, shuffling them in many different ways without looking at them and without missing a beat.

Joker was focused. To him this was like Iron Chef Japan. He had to make the perfect dish for his guests. He was working like a mad man.

Kyoshi went closer to the guy he shot down. Moving him with his foot the man was dead. He listened around him. There was more of them. Surrounding him. 'I guess it's the neighbors here to welcome me.' He thought. Reloading his gun he took cover behind a wall and waited for the rest of his neighbors to join the party.

Sitting down, watching her, Eldin was amazed. He had played cards a few times back home, but what Gambler was doing was very entertaining. Kalore and ave sat down as well. Kalore watched Rave as Rave watched Joker. It was interesting to watch people when they were focused on something.

Dusk stared, still wondering what she would do. There was just this feeling that something was wrong, but the girl didn't know what it could be. No, she knew what it could be, it was just that she didn't know how to respond to it.

Kyoshi knew you had to survive in this place but not like this. This wasn't the first time he had been to this place but it seemed like it was going to be his last. Just what he needed after all the stuff that happened. Whoever was in charge must really hate his guts because he was being given too many curve balls at once. He walked along side the wall to the other side and moving deeper into the city. He got to his building and quickly got inside.

The guy at the front wasn't there with his money which was...he supposed a good thing but somehow he didn't feel any relief from it. He went up to the elevator and pushed the button to his floor. As he got there he was checking around, pointing his gun and ready to shoot. He entered his dark apartment. Nothing seemed out of place. Kyoshi relaxed slightly, the pain in his shoulder now making itself known to him. It hurt like hell but it was better than what his heart was feeling. He went to go wash it off when he did feel something was off. Someone was in his room. He took the gun and pointed it up. It was another Seraph. Powerful.

Joker was humming a little tune which was not really in tune. Gambler looked at Eldin. She was still shuffling. "You want to play?" She asked him.

Eldin shrugged, "What game...I don't know for sure if I'll know it..." Rave stood up, "What exactly are you making, Joker?" Now that he was up, Kalore sighed and watched the exchange between Gambler and Eldin. The male was beginning to see how the woman had gotten her name...

Looking in the direction of the gun shots, Dusk shook her head and made a 180. She had to get back to the others, and more than likely when she did, Dusk was a dead hybrid.

Joker had his tongue sticking out slightly in concentration. "Well....I thought about steak for Gambler. She needs to build up her red blood cells with that. Then...lasagna since there is a big group of us. Perhaps a salad to go with it and then for desert....I haven't decided. I don't know if any of you eat sweets so...." He shrugged. He knew that he would make something sweet for Gam.

"Depends on what you know. Oh! And no strip poker." She wiggled her finger. "I'll have none of that in the kitchen. Everything else yes." She shuffled and then stopped. The deck of cards in the middle of the table in a perfect stack.

Kyoshi muttered curses and kicked down the door. He and the seraph locked gazes. Nothing needed to be said. It was a hit and Kyoshi was going to get it. "That b*tch." He cursed. No, he wasn't referring to Dusk. He could never say that about her. It was the other one. The one who sent the first seraph after Dusk and blew his place up. Him and the seraph began to brawl.

Rave nodded as he leaned against the counter. "Anything that you make will be fine, Joker. You seem to be quite the chef..." The man watched as Joker made the food, impressed that he was making all of this for just a small group of people. Or..what Rave considered small...

Eldin looked thoughtful. "Eh...anything really..." Man...these elves weren't very good decision makers...

Taking a few steps, Dusk sighed and turned around, sprinting into the direction of Kyoshi's apartment. Something was wrong, and she had to find out what it was. If he didn't like her being there, than he could get over it.

Joker nodded. "I try my hand in anything remotely positive. It's to lessen my twitchings and well to control me. So that doctor says." He looked over his shoulder at Gambler. "Mainly because she doesn't want me to get killed for someones stupidity. Happened once...no twice. Terriable." Joker flipped the steaks and added alittle bit of lime to it. "Also, because she can't cook. She can cook simple things but not big things like this." He smiled.

Gambler thought for a moment. "I'll keep it simple. Poker. Five card poker with chips." She got up and went to get the chips. She brought out a set that had different colored chips. Setting it down she looked at Eldin. "Pick your color. Kalore, would you like to try your hand in poker?" She asked. "The more the merrier."

Kyoshi and the Seraph were at each others throats. One was fighting to stay alive long enough to kill the guy and the other just wanted to kill. He was a powerful seraph but Kyoshi believed he had a few more levels of strenght above him. Kyoshi was bloody and his shirt ripped to shreds. This was worse than the fight with Elke. A stab of pain went through him. It was a memory that lead to his sorrow. Kyoshi took the cloth and threw it on the ground, angry. The other Seraph smiled. They went at it again, bullets flying and fists flying. Eventually they both will end up in the actual sky to fly and fight.

Dusk was sprinting now, seeing the two Seraphs in the sky. Stopping, she looked around, knowing that she had to get to where she could help Kyoshi. He looked like Hell, and that was from a distance. Noting that his apartment was the tallest building, Dusk sprinted up the staircase, ignoring a few looks that were given. She had to help Kyoshi.

Eldin chose his color, and Kalore chose his. Rave stayed out of the game, watching Joker cook. The dark haired man could cook, very well actually, but he had never tried the things that Joker was making. So, he wanted to learn.

Gambler took her color and set the other chips on the floor. She rolled her sleaves up to her bisceps. She shuffled the cards again and gave each of them five cards. "I do how you know the combinations." She put in two green chips.

Kyoshi was being pushed backwards towards another building, thankfully it was empty of people. The seraph wipped out a long sword and began to attack Kyoshi with it. The man had a sadistic smile on his face. Kyoshi had no choice but to use six of his wings to fight this guy, especially since he had no sword. What a great night this was turning out to be.

Joker looked at Rave. "Do you cook?"

As the boys played agaisnt Gambler, Kalore having amazing hands while Eldin's just sucked, Rave nodded. "I do. Not much, but I do. I have made many feasts for the old family...and the council...but your food smells much better than mine." His eyes smiled while his face remained calm. It was as if his face was made of glass, and it could only do so much before it shattered. "Crap!" Another bad hand, and Eldin just dropped his head. "I suck at this..."

Reaching the top of the building, Dusk watched the two fight, amazed at how amazing Kyoshi's wings were, but quickly noticing how badly he was losing. But, she didn't know what to do...The girl had run here, but stayed out of sight, but without knowing what to do. Looking around, Dusk made sure that she had her daggers, and she did, and glared at the other Seraph. I thought Seraphs were the good guys! Dusk was really getting annoyed of those creatures...

Gambler chuckled softly. While Kalore had good hands, she folded have the time, betting one chip but not really betting at all. She gave in to her instincts of when to fold and when not to. Though poor Eldin was loosing terriably. "Don't worry Eldin. At least it wasn't with real money or anything. Then I would have beaten you guys." Oh yeah, had this been with real money, objects or people beening betted she would have wipped them clean. "Unless your feeling lucky tonight and want to up the stakes?" She said shuffling the deck again.

Joker raised his eyebrow. "Oh? That is interesting. What sort of things do you cook? I can share with you the recipes to theses. I have tons of books on cooking." He offered. It was nice to have someone share this interest.

Kyoshi let the seraph pin his against the wall. It was the funeral of the seraph not his. A beam of white light shot out of Kyoshi's hands sending the other back all the way to the edge. He fueled himself to keep going. If he was going to die then he was taking this guy with him to hell.

The man stood up and gave a battle cry that would have pierced anyones ears. Kyoshi went at him with everything he had, using the anger from all that has happened to keep him going. He was like a runaway train getting faster and faster. He punched his hand through the man's chest and continued to go, holding him over the edge. "Go to hell, you disgrace me." He whispered and sucked the soul out of the seraph. The man turned to dust. Kyoshi stepped back, holding the wound on his chest, his wings spread wide over him as if offering protection. The minor wounds were healing but the major ones where still there, bleeding profusely.
