Alcina stared at Strange for a long moment. Her face a mixture of emotions that came off as an odd look of confusion. That...that had to be that Abolisher God. But what could he be wanting here? She'd never seen him when they were on any of the other planets. And god or not, X would never allow someone to tell him what to do. X would easily be able to... "That doesn't make any sence..." she said quietly. "Sholeh's kind shouldn't have even said a word to her. She's been doin her job as a goddess, and that's all they really want. And X...he'd never allow anyone to tell him what to do." she said, then paused a moment. After a second, she sighed quietly and continued. "If it's the man I'm thinking it is, no. He wouldn't be afraid or worried of anyone. Not only does he love blood and dissorder, but the immortality and god status makes him think he's invincible. And if that doesn't work, he knows he'll have someone come and back him up if things get serious...no matter wether he's in the right or wrong."

Strange thought that she was giving X a little too much credit, but knew better than to say THAT. "What kind of backup, exactly?" He could handle X; of that he was very, very sure, and he was fairly certain that he could handle the Abolisher as well. If he had an army of Gods at his disposal, though...

"His usual would be a fairly large army of his own creations and those he's killed in battle. Which...would be a few hundred planets worth or so of the undead." She replied. "But, the thing he relies on the most would be one of the other gods of the planet. One that keeps the balance. As long as there's still a god of creation, he won't let the god of destruction be killed. It's rather hard to get replacement gods, since it's a bit of a bloodline thing, and some of the gods aren't exactly family material. The one who keeps the balance though...well, there's quite a few to take up the job should he be killed protecting the others."

"Undead aren't a problem," Strange replied somewhat dismissively, "But... the god of balance..." That sounded disturbingly like Phoenix, and Strange couldn't beat that. Period. It was the energy behind order in the universe. The energy required to do any significant damage would likely kill him. Well... He glanced at her. "And you're sure that X isn't being manipulated?"

Alcina looked at him a moment, her expression still a bit confused. "He...no..." she replied. "I haven't seen any such sign of that. This is the first time I've even heard of one of those Gods visiting us. Aside from Sholeh." She'd been with X since...well the only time she was really seperated from him was when they were both trapped in stone. Something could have...no, no he still wouldn't let anyone be above him enough for that. Though it was when they were freed that X started this whole thing. And he was the god of Destruction. And...if he was just there for a visit, X would have been fairly vocal towards Strange at the least. She didn't understand...

Strange raised an eyebrow. "Mmmhmm... Would it be possible for you to go back and ask? I'd go myself, but I don't think he'll talk to me. That's probably asking a lot," he added a little more hesitantly, "But I think it's important." Then he blinked and seemed to notice Riddler for the first time. Was she on a date? ... Wow.

Alcina's confused look fell a bit more. Go back? If she hadn't had a few questions for him herself, she wouldn't even consider it. But... After a very long pause, she nodded. "Yes. Shouldn't be much of a problem. I don't guarantee that you'll get any answers." she replied.

Strange nodded. "Just do your best. If that doesn't work, I have a more... erm... magically invasive method that I could try, but I'd rather not." He paused. "Thank you." The next moment, he was gone.

The Riddler watched the whole thing go on in front of him in a fair bit of awe. Once the man left, he asked, "So, is this goodbye, or goodbye for now?" He didn't sound like he'd be terribly disappointed either way.
Prometheus let his sword arm lift up with the motion of the staff, keeping his grip without risking too much harm to himself. The staff DID still hit him, though, but probably nowhere near as hard as Batman would have liked; it barely fazed him. Since his sword, in a sense, was not immediately available for an attack, he shot out with a kick while he brought his sword back to bear.

Alcina paused a moment in thought. "I honestly can't say." she replied, then turned back to face him. "I really wasn't expecting anything like this to come up."

Batman was unfortunately holding onto the staff with both hands, which meant that he had to block the kick with said staff. This also meant that he couldn't do a whole lot about the sword that was coming back up.

Riddler smiled an almost sincere smile for the first time that night. "Well, you'd better get going. Fate of the world, and all that hoopla. Alcina, before you go, though... Question: What is purple and green and full of hope for a second encounter?"
Prometheus' kick was blocked, but he had managed to recover his sword stance, and proceeded to swing for the Bat's arm with said sword, blade edge whistling though the air with the force he was swinging with.

Alcina smiled back at him. Strangely, that cheered her up a little."Hmm...that's a tough one. What?"

Right about then, Terry thought of something that he could test out, something that had the potential to be distracting to his opponent... not to mention extremely funny. ... No. I'm right in the middle of a fight. This is... Oh, what the hell. Flipping the staff easily to the side in order to block the strike, he simultaneously sent a kick toward his enemy's torso. He'd try his other theory out in a minute.

Prometheus released one hand from the sword to glance the kick away from himself, even though that pretty much guaranteed that his swing would get blocked.
Edward Nygma took a bow, and replied, "Answer: the Riddler." With that, he turned around and began walking away, a smirk on his face.
