Cene landed and blasted the cyborg, turning to dodge the blasts shot at her. She lept to another island and fired another grenade followed by another burst of blaster fire, seeking to chip at his defenses and probe for a vulnerable spot.

The mandalorian fluttered around him, like an annoying mosquito, as she repeated her strategy. Following up with similar results, he dodged a second time, as he watched the platform crack and dissolve from the grenade. Durge arched a burst of fire, before his rifle clicked empty.

Spinning the rifle around his back, he went for his pistols, firng shots in the mandos' general direction. So far, this was a stalemate of reflection and firepoewr, as his ammunition slowly bled dry.

Cene used a brief burst from her Jet Pack to aid her leap to another island, launching her carbine's last grenade at her opponent, along with another burst from her weapon, pistol blasts scattering about her.

(seeing as how durge took 9 explosive charges to the face, this next move seems wholley plausible)

Durge went for another leap, but something was amiss. The slick surface of the pad caused the cyborg to slip, landing down on one knee. The gen'dai crashed, watching one of his pistols slide into the water, as he heard an alert in his computer display announced a warning. Turning, he noticed a grenade coming straight for him. Scrambling, he knew that he had nowhere to go. The small charge connected straight to his head, as his vision became that of bright light, fire, and then blackended smoke.

Throughout the arena, the smoldering corpse of Durge could be seen, keeled backwards in an inhuman position, smoking from the connection of the infamous face to grenade technique, as a hush fell over the crowd. Nakara himself shifted in his chair overlooking the arena. All was still for a moment, before he could be heard laughing. A sick, twisted laugh just like when he visited Kusp, redirected to the main stage as though durge himself was giving such an eerie laugh.

The cyborg noticed that he wasn't dead. Not critically injured, not even in that much pain. The opitical sensors connected directly to his optic nerves still funtioned, and the computer system still worked. Standing back up slowly, the insane gen'dai now had figured out another thing that gave him a feeling of elated madness to his hatred. A feeling of invincibility. Powering both shields on his arm, a smiling Gen'dai charged, fist open, towards his opponent, using the shields to block whatever fire she may toss his way. He reminded himself he would have to thank that doctor later. Now he needed to teach this maggot a lesson, as he ignited his own jetpack to bolster his already impressive speed further.

Cleaning his disasembled pistol, Pash watched the show in silence.
He could read the emotions on the field despite it being a broadcast. the near anihilation of Durge was interesting in the fact he seemed to be as surprised as everyone else that he was alive.
"Could it be he doesnt know the limits to his capabilities?" He mused as he watched. "Thats a very dangerous level of ignorance..."

“Yes Lead.” Aurora replied, embracement coloring the tone of her voice. . “Returning to the Bathurst now.” She eased the control yoke over and the big fighter complied, making a one hundred and eighty degree turn. Now out of the ice rings Aurora had time to look over her instruments.
She punched in a few inquiries of her own into the ships computer, only to lean forwards and blinked her flame red eyes as she read what scrolled down the screen. No structural damage, no hull damage, shields needed to be recharged but operational. She was sure she had impacted this wandering hunk of ice, at least that was what the bump on her head was telling her, but the shields had taken the impact and shrugged it off.
Falling back into formation with the rest of the squadron as one by one the rest of the new starfighters formed back up and headed away from the ice-ringed planet.

Marie deflected the first two bursts with ease, but the third hit her directly, sending her flying towards the far wall.
She managed to hit it with her feet, recoiling off of it and launching herself towards her opponent.

Dozens of unmarked containers of various sizes floated about the asteroid field, occasionally bumping into the large rocks.
They drifted lazily through space, waiting...

About a dozen ships, a mix of colorfully painted hammerheads and triremes lead by a large battlecruiser dropped into the asteroid system along with twenty loading shuttles or so.
Aboard the bridge of the big ship, Captain Darksun was eyeing the floating containers with a smirk.
"Aye. Seems he be payin' up." He remarked. "But I be a suspicious man by me nature. Haul one in me hearties. And keep an eye on those sensors."
The crew brought one of the containers in and cracked it open, revealing a small amount of spice, a promising start.
The order was given to haul in the rest of the containers as the spice was sent to be examined.
The captain examined the spice himself, studying it and scanning it with the ships systems.
Dabbing a small bit on his finger, he drew it close, anylizing it.
"Well blow me down....this aint real spice!"

Jakar quickly brought his blade up and defended himself from the woman's counter-attack. Her inertia, however, knocked him off his feet. She nearly tackled Jakar in the process, until he quickly brought his feet up and pushed them into her abdomen, sending her away.

Rook turned to see a tall man with light-purple skin standing behind her. He was wearing a lab coat similar to some of the other scientists she had seen, though his fingers ended in nails sharp enough to be claws.

"What is this?" she asked, gesturing at the bodies behind her.

"An experiment gone wrong, you might say. We were trying to enhance the basic genetic code of the homo sapien to make it stronger, faster, and more easily augmented through cybernetics. We hoped that if introduced early enough in the subject's life that he or she would grow into the alteration with minimal visible effect. The first batch proved to be fatal for most, unfortunately."

"Why?" was all she could ask, stunned at the atrocity that this man had confessed to.

"To make the perfect soldier, of course. With each new age the battlefield witnesses new, dynamic changes.
Changing the soldier itself, is just the next logical progression."

"These are not soldiers, they're children."

"Now they are nothing more than mere corpses," he said, matter-of-factly. "I had hoped that someone of your obvious combat prowess would understand, but it would seem that I was mistaken."

"Very," Kira said, pulling out a blaster pistol and shooting the scientist in the chest.

Marie landed on the floor, graceful as a cat, her legs and one arm absorbing the impact. She brought herself up to a standing position, and turned off the glowing blade in her hand.

"I am pleasantly surprised to say that that was a good workout," she said, smiling slightly as sweat glistened on her skin like a fresh morning dew. "Unfortunately, there are some things I must attend to. If you want a shower, I believe that one of the penthouse suites have been prepared for you. If you want to go another round, I'll be back here early tomorrow morning, after breakfast."

" Now remember, you guys are merely an escort meant to protect us from any hostiles, nothing else. " Siren said to the Sith troopers. " Right, if you're all taken prisoner or anyhting, we won't stop them. " one of the troopers replied. " Good. We're trying to win them over, not start a fight. If that should happen, just go and enjoy yourselves, or even return on your own if you want if just to inform Lady Demaia that we've made contact. "

The shuttle exited hyperspace, appearing on the edge of Lyran space. " Girls, you just do what you do you best. Show the guys a good time, and make sure they know there's a lot more to come if they join with Lady Demaia. I'll work my way up to Marr, and if he's just not into our definition of fun, then at least we'll take a little from him anyways. " Siren said, the girls nodding in return.

" Right then, now let's let them find us... "

Ritt watched as the squadron returned single file, as a private com buzzed his ship. Reverend was wishing a discussion, and Ritt wasn't quite sure why. Still, he let the com come through.

"You shouldn't have let her go out so quickly. If it was a lesser craft, or weaker shielding, she might have seriously damaged it. She's still fresh, only several months with us, and even with training and a natural nack, she's dangerously reckless," he said, rather bluntly compared to normal.

"Relax, she's got everything under control," Ritt responded.

"She's almost as reckless as you."

"Now let's not go overboard. She's got to learn her limitations, and it doesn't hurt to find out the ship's limitations either. It's not like she's going to do anything stupid. I am her teacher, afterall."

"That's what I'm most concerned about. You've got an entire squadron under your command. While it's not the same as a battlefleet, you barely command this squadron with a firm grasp. You're a great pilot Ritt, but you should know better than anyone else what happens to a padawan whose master is too lax on their training. Don't put her through the same torment as you did. She's still young, almost too young."

The com beeped off, as his fighter made a quick landing into the ship. Ritt floated along, as the rest landed, thinking the advice over.

Aurora had flown back to the ship staying in formation and now as it became her turn to make the approach she gingerly brought her fighter into the hanger bay, cutting her sub-light drives and activating the repulsor-lifts as her bird came though the magnetic shield. She maneuvered the big fighter over to it’s landing pad, turning it on it’s axis to point the nose back at the hanger bay doors and set the war bird down into it’s landing gear. She shut down the ships systems, popped the canopy open, undid her harness, and stretched out her arms as the ground team hooked the ladder to the fuselage just below the canopy.
Collecting he datapad and accepting the offered helping hand from the one of the ground crew with a smile she climbed out of the cockpit and down the ladder. Her fire red eyes flashed as she glanced around the hanger, looking for her Master, when she didn’t see his fighter parked on its stall she bent over and looked at the belly of her fighter. The shields had taken the brunt of the damage, but she frowned as her eyes saw several scratch marks in the paint job.

“Um, hey.” She turned to her ground team. “I had a run in with one of the ice chunks while in the ring. I think I may have overloaded the shields and dinged the under belly.” She admitted to them, feeling her checks redden in embracement. “Could you guys take a look at these systems from me please?” She asked with a shy grin.
