...Lawl. I don't even listen to the radio or whatever these days.
I'm comfy in my little nook with my Vocaloids and anime/videogame soundtracks.
Call me a weeaboo if you must. xp

While I'll admit that Fireflies *is* overplayed/too popular for it's own good, I do honestly like Owl City... sweatdrop
Of course, soundtracks are awesome too. :3

Meh, didn't mean to offend you, neji, but I don't feel inclined to retract my previous statement, either. What I said is pretty much how it is right now. Again, on another note... *ahems* CHASE!!! I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A MOVIE FOR YOU!!!!

The real reason I hate pop nowadays is because it's trying to merge with the genre of techno, which is a defiling of both territories God dammit.

"I told that weeaboo girl over there that Inuyasha sucks. She slapped me across the face and proceded to cuss me out in Japanese." That just made me burst out laughing! xd I can just see several girls at my school doing that. Only thing is that i think one of them might not be one of those. She at least looks like she could have some japanese in her.

All this talk about music made me think back to the days where I was actually into listening what was on the radio. This was like, 10- 13 or 14-something years ago, holy shat. xd
...I think I still like Hanson, and would like to do some catching up on what they've done lately. Oh lord. lol

Forgive me if my analysis is misguided...
My opinion is that you merely hate such songs because of not only your preferences in genre, but simply because you deny conformity and repetition (not a bad thing, really), and thus hate a song that is played a ridiculous amount of times.
Fireflies is played way too much, to be certain.
But, the message in the lyrics is somewhat pleasant, I must admit, though the song itself, melodies and lyrics alike, got old very fast, mostly because it is repeated so many times.
My opinion. Nothing close to professional, so dont take me seriously or anything.
