For the final show of the year the seniors get together and tell everyone new notes and rhythms to pull a prank on the band director.
We did. Replaced a Solo in Caravan with Mario music. And also added a reprise after the show was over.

and yes I'm a drummer in my high school marching band.

You know your a band geek when you make fun of your BD's age and he makes fun of how you're not all there. (true story!)
you know your a band geek when you can go to all the football games for four years straight and still not know how the game goes. (Guilty!)

You know you're a band geek when your school year is measured in "Months until Band Camp".
You're a band geek at my school when you know the reason why the percussion calls the guiro an 'Elmo' and the shakire 'Shakira'...and you're not percussion! XDD
(Heck, I don't know why we call it Elmo and I'm IN the section.)

RinoaHeartilly thanks for bumpin' up the counter. wink You know you're a band geek when you've named your instrument. guilty of that her name is claire you know your a band nerd wen wen you walk you notice you always step off with your left foot and you always repeat left left left..in your head you know your a band nerd wen even though MB season is over you still have the music stuck in your head and wen that concert is long gone and you still have the music in your head... guilty of both!

Dude.. I named every individual DRUM when I played the Trio... I also named the lyre, the harness, and the individual sticks. They where the names of the kids from the sound of music. My guitar is named Tobi, My keyboard is named Franz, and my ipod is named Wolfgang. I haven't been to marching band in I can't remember how long and I always step off with my left foot. XD I have the music in my head from the MIDDLE SCHOOLD performances and I am a sophomore! You know your a band nerd when you LIKE the uniforms.
