I play the Alto Sax. I WOULD try out tenor or Bari, but there's only one other saxophone in my grade, and he plays badly because of some mental issues...so looks like I'll have to wait to try it out until at least high school. xd Seriously, when I told my BD that I was getting braces and a tongue guard soon and it would be a while before I could play well, he looked like he was gonna cry. xd
I should learn some other instruments, too...like the clarinet...and trumpet...and mellophones. They look cool. =D And the tuuuuba!

I Play Saprano, Alto, and Tenor. I've been playing sax since i joined the jazz band at my highschool my freshman year.(I originally played clarinet) I am a senior now and I am 1st chair Tenor in our Jazz Band and 1st chair Alto in our pep band. I also had a part in our field show this year where i switched from clarinet to Alto sax and played a solo. It was so freakin awesome. Oh, and i only play saprano for the heck of it, it's just fun because it's so little and cute ^-^!

I perfere to play the alto but sometimes I play tenor when we need one for concert band.

I may play sax for jazz band next semester. I don't know what I'll be put on, but I play alto, tenor, and bari. I prefer the bari, though.

I used to play the tenor but switched to alto for marching band. they are both fun to play but alto is easier and lighter.

I play tenor. I learned at the begining of this year.
I started in 6th grade (I'm in 8th) on clarinet.
I'm in our jazz band as 1st tenor. I made 1st chair in all-county.
Our jazz band is the only jazz band (middle school and high school) in northwest Florida to make 13 years of straight supperiors. smile

I play Alto Sax...and I know how to play the Tenor...I only play tenor for Jazz band sweatdrop I'm not very good, but I'm okay at it.

It's my first year playing (my middle school starts at seventh grade), and I'm first chair in concert band, and my BD told me I'm basicly guarenteed first chair in jazz band next year. ^^

I played the Clarinet 5th-beginning of 7th, then the Alto Saxophone from the rest of 7th to the beginning of 8th. Then I switched to the Baritone Saxophone for the rest of that year. 9th grade I had to switch to the Alto again because an upperclassman wanted to play the Baritone. 10th to current I play the Baritone Saxophone. Every once in a while I'll take one of the underclassmen Tenor or Alto and play their music while they try to get a sound out of the Baritone.

Alto sax here probably gonna get either 2nd or 3rd chair in concert season since playoff games ended and no more marching for the year (thank god)
and my band director is an idiot -.-
Hmm, for all you people in Jr. High right now, be prepared for high school cause' it gets sooo much harder trying to play against upper classman. Good luck to all of you >.<;

DemonicCurse I play alto sax. All saxophone have the same fingerings so you could play almost any of them if you could play just one.

Ehh... I'm the only Tenor Sax in Junior Band at my highschool, and both my Band teacher and my Saxophone Teacher (I take private lessons) want me in Jazz Band next year. u_u In my oh-so-suder-duper-Canadian town, we don't have marching bands, just us bands that sit.
And we pwn your other bands with out SPIDERMAN-playing action! x3 Just kidding.
