Ame did her best... as that was the most she could do... at certian stages in life humans did have their limits... and Ame felt as if she'd hit hers... She refused to let it be true though, and she tried and failed to do the push up correctly... She just had to get one more down, do one more correctly... That was all she wanted... and Rei probabaly knew it too... He was always more... preceptive than he gave away...

Body shaking again, Ame stiffly lowered herself down for the last time... in her mind, and hopefully in Rei's as well. Holding herself down for a second, she slowly eased herself back up into position and then quickly pushed herself away from the gound and into a sitting position, rubbing her fingers gently... That was enough... that was more than enough... She was done...

Rei watched her carefully as she worked. At first, he'd admit... she was pathetic... but she progressed pretty well after wards. For that he was proud, however... he couldn't let his brotherly instincts get in the way of senseihood... He had a student to train after all. "Alright, you did well.. I'll give you thta... however... I did not tell you to stop doing push ups... so... I want you to do five half push ups and stick em for a minute... now go." Maybe it was a bit harsh but... she'd get over it...

Ame heaved a sigh... more push ups... and these ones were worse than the finger ones... Oh well, atleast he praised her. That was a good thing. That meant he wasn't embarassed by her atleast... and if he was in serious mode right now... he'd be even happier with her in brotherly mode... That brought a small smile to her face. She didn't do so bad after all. Getting back into push up position, though on her hands this time, she lowered herself halfway and held it.

Pulling herself back up, she went down halfway again and tried to maintain it for another minute. This time, however, she only lasted about ten seconds before she had to lower herself completely to the ground... This was gonna be much harder than she thought... much harder indeed. But this was an order... and atleast she knew how many times it had to be done... according to her calculation... she was one fifth on her way to success.

Pushing herslef back up... she tried to get into an even halfway position... she lasted maybe... twenty seconds this time... and then she had to let herself down again. So... it was worse than she thought. She had to get this done though.. and then maybe the next exercise would be something easier on her hands... Then again, wishing for something like that would mean it would be hard on her feet. Oh well, she'd take the trade for now...

This next one was even less than before... twelve seconds... This was getting ridiculous. She would do better next time... she had to do better next time. This was somewhat of a punishment exercise though... which, by instinct, made her want to take her time... but she was sick of being so lazy and weak... she would do any exercise to get stronger. Her future as a shinobi depended on it after all.

Sucking in another deep breath, she straightened her shoulders and lifted herself back into a half point position. This time she heald it... counting slowly in her mind, making sure she didn't let herself go too soon. If she went over, however, that was just bonus points for her. 55... 56... 57... 58... 59... 60... Letting out her breath she sank back down. Alright, this is getting a bit harder...

Ame felt alright now... she'd gotten two out of the five done. That was pretty good right? Of course it was... now to get her third... Pushing herself back up to the halfway, she stayed for a good thirty second... and dropped again. Alright, so that wasn't going to be her third... the next one would... Yeah, most definately... the next one would be her third... she'd force it to her best.

Now here it was, the time had come for the dreaded, and yet ever waited for, third half push up... ready and hopefully sucessful... otherwise it wouldn't be the awsome and amazing third push up. So she got up into her half position, and waited... and waited... and waited.... still waiting... twenty seconds now? Thirty? Her arms shuddered slightly... forty second now... waiting... waiting... fifty five... and sixty! Witha smile she dropped herself down again.

Her heart was beating faster... she could hear it in her ears... the small consistant pulse... She had to control it... Calm her body down... it was all she could do for now as she inhaled and exhaled, lifting her body, trying to hold it, but dropping again. She was tiring herself out too fast, and that would be a problem later unless she could control herself... use her energy wisely... Now why didn't she think of that before/ Could of saved her some time and energy...

Ame tried going down a bit more, once again... she made it a good forty seconds this time before she couldn't bear her own weight. She had to drop herself down again... Otherwise she might not have survived. She wasn't doing too good at the moment, but... it was just a phase... it should pass... most likely... maybe... hopefully... She couldn't help but laugh a little bit at houw pathetic she was sounding to herself... This was insane.

This next one wans't so bad... She almost made it... almost... she was down to fifty six seconds before she had to drop. And she cursed herself when she did... Just four more seconds... just four more measly seconds! How could I do that, I was almost there for crying out loud! She screamed to herself mentally... Her face crumpled slightly in disgust at herself... How could she be so weak that she couldn't hang on for another four seconds?

Zanza entered the badlands reluctantly. The dust was extreamly thick compaired to what he was used to. He was quick to notice this and rapped his long scarf around the lower part of his head many times, covering both his mouth and nose compleatly. His arms were bare but the rest of his body was covered. He walked into plain veiw of ame, and she would have noticed him if only she hand been faceing him. in each of his arms he carried a large plastic bag with take out dishes in them. Three dishes in each. He turned his head back the way he had come, waiting and looking for houka.

The wind was starting to pick up... kicking up dust into her face... It wasn't getting pretty. Coughing slightly, she lowered herself again... making sure that she would stay down until the minute was up. Tilting her head to the side slightly... she saw a shilloette of a person walking their way... But who was it? A villager? A shinobi? Ame let herself drop after the minute and continued to look at the stranger in the dust clouds.
