Half expecting to be clawed to death, Celeste was quite surprised when the Absol remained calmed. She didn’t even seem upset. In fact, she started walking in the direction Celeste was going in the first place.
“Not bad…”
Celeste called Mazu back into her pokeball, and set off after the Absol, trying to think of a fitting name for her.

It seemed like Six and Snover walked for a while. Not a pokemon in sight. Well more like not a single robber in sight.
So far he had been in......3 maybe 4 areas so far. How many different places were on this island? If only he'd have found what his was looking for already and caught a second pokemon, he wouldn't have to be in that island.

Snover mind was wrapped around that statement. He then shrugged it off. He wanted to be positive. Let nothing get in the way of their adventure. Hopefully, things would turn for the better.

Well, maybe if the mew actually walked it would do something. For now, though, Carmines low kick was useless. The Scraggy huffed, at least he was doing a bit of damage, yes?
And to the bubble enforced pound, he only had one reply - get out of the way. sweeping his tail, he moved back, aiming for the bubble to land in front of him instead of on top of him.

The night was darkest before the dawn, an old saying Six would quickly learn the meaning of. As the sunlight began to glare overhead, the bushes rustled faintly. Something would move unseen behind the child and Snover, after all, every attack today had come from the front, from Pokemon they could see...so why would they expect the actions of one whom met neither criteria?
A weight would be lifted from Six's belt then. He'd then notice out of the corner of his eye a Pokeball floating through the air, moving passed him and the Snover down the path. The only hint of foul play to the child would be the presence of a red zig-zag beneath the ball...like some sort of scarlet wave carrying off the ball.
The ball would turn around in the air as it halted ahead of them. Then, and only then would the boy be able to notice something rather significant...it wasn't an unused Pokeball...it was Snover's.
Slowly, the ball would rise and fall in the air, as if the thief were taunting them.
Then suddenly, the air would shift. The blue of the sky would turn green, the earthy brown of the path would turn...green, and so too would everything else in the immediate vicinity. This little caper had been pulled off by a Kecleon...but even that wasn't so simple a thing.
This Kecleon seemed larger then most of his kind, the frills on his head and back more savage and pointed then most; his claws too seemed to be longer, thicker then most. The tricky reptile looked more primal, ancient in his appearance. Indeed it fit in well with the beasts of this forest...and why should he not? He was their Guardian after all!
Lifting the ball and shaking it around to taunt the boy, Kecleon would give them both a nasty, impish smile before doing the unimaginable. With one claw he would click the button, and recall Six's Snover.
[SPECIAL EFFECT: SNOVER CANNOT BE USED FOR THIS BATTLE!]
It would seem Six would have to battle this one without his Snover...good thing he'd obtained another Pokemon quite recently. Kecleon [M]

And as the ship stopped at the dock, Mei's excitement was at the top of her level. She was finally here... and with that in mind, she started to walk into the forest... with a bit of bounce in each step. "Hehe, we're here!" "Now how and where will we find a Chrono Stone for Professor Rook?" She said, directing it towards Ami. "If we get that out of the way... we can take our time finding the next member for our team." She said with a big grin. Ami was glad to be on land again. Ships weren't exactly her favorite. The water was pretty; however, she was used to the forest atmosphere. >Riding a ship isn't as fun as I thought...< She said with a sigh. Ami wasn't as excited as Mei was...she was still a bit seasick from riding on a ship.
But as she started to breath in the forest air, her senses started to come back. Each step was easier than before... it would seem that the seasickness was wearing off. Sniffing the air, Ami tried to sense the pokemon that were in the forest... she too was wondering what kind of pokemon they would be encountering while here...

Lyuk got off the boat as happy as he had been before. He was excited, the boat trip had only made his energy level rise. The boy grinned as he got off the boat and then saw someone not far in front of him. Seeing the girl was walking away, he then ran behind her as quietly as he could. Coming towards her, he then tried placing his hands lightly over her eyes. "Boo!" he shouted. The boy just meant it as a friendly joke, not being mean or anything. Besides it was the first time he had gotten to talk to anyone else besides the quick hello to the other girl in the Tactics classroom.
Kai meanwhile saw what Lyuk was up to and decided to have his own fun. Mimicking his trainer, the Emolga flew over the Deerling. Placing his paws over the Deerling's eyes, he then said Boo! as well. The Emolga's tail accidentally flicked across the deer pokemon's neck. He had been a little too excited and it caused his tail to move involuntarily.

The mists would begin creeping out of the forest the moment both children touched down upon the beach. It would wisp around their feet, rearing back and twisting around their legs like spectral claws attempting to snatch them.
Soon after the fog would descend, thick and unnatural. Rather then a reply or a scream, the young Lyuk would find the rough feeling of bark beneath his fingertips. Somehow he'd managed to mistake a short tree for the girl...or perhaps the girl had become a tree? It would be almost impossible to make out the features in this thick blanket of fog...
Suddenly a small section of it would peel back, providing the child with the ability to see 5 feet in front of himself; though not in the direction he'd been heading.
Small steps would fill the air, the faint crunching of something making it's way across the sand. ">Must....feed...<" A small, almost innocently sweet voice would call out ">So hungry....must....feed...<" The words were gasped between breaths and drawing closer.
From within the mists, the form of a Cherubi would suddenly appear. The little creature seemed odd however. Though her cheeks were still rosy, her flesh was an almost translucent white, her eyes the same colour her body should have been...
Slowly, stumbling at first, she would walk towards the boy ">...Must....feed...< The Cherubi moaned, opening her mouth, and looking up at Lyuk ">MUST FEED!<" Those two words came out a horrible wail as the Cherubi launched herself at the boy, the look in her eyes that of a man searching for a single drop of water amidst the desert...
[EVENT! ROLL HIGHER THEN ME TO DODGE THE CHERUBI!]

Mei too would find herself surrounded by four walls of fog, oblivious to the other trainer save for a single shout of BOO far off in the distance. He'd sound for all the world as if he were many miles away from her. The girl would find however, that she was certainly not alone...
Slowly, a figure out breach the fog, mist creeping over old and gnarled feet. Hunched over, they were swathed in a thick, tattered cloth, leaving only a their long pointed nose to be seen. "Hello there child" The being, their identity as person or pokemon left unknown "To pass this place, you must answer me these questions three...er the other side ye see" The figure stated, her voice old and weathered.
"First...what is your name?" She would pause a moment, before continuing.
"Second...what is your quest?" Again the crone would wait a moment for the child's answer.
"Third...what is the air speed velocity of an unladen Swellow?"

[Rolling just in case!] Why is there always voices that she can't see, but only hear? She shook her head, maybe this was her imagination... but with the voice asking her questions, this couldn't possibly be a dream. If she wasn't careful... this thing could really take advantage of this situation and hurt her and Ami... "My name is Mei."
She shivered slightly, before continuing to talk. "I have to find a Chrono stone for my Professor. I also have to catch a pokemon that is to be added to my team. "Unsure of the last question, she guessed,"10-14 meters per second? I guess it really depends on how you trained your Swellow..."
She had answered these questions as best as she could. But what did the voice need to know this for?

One minute Lyuk was behind Mei and her Deerling, the next he was covered by a fog and had been seen hugging a tree. The boy shook it off, his blue eyes confused. What had happened? Well this was a forest so maybe it was just a weird place. Shrugging, he looked around, thinking he should just keep moving forward. He didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary and didn't hear anything either.
Kai was sitting on Lyuk's shoulder when he heard something. The Emolga's ears flickered slightly and then he saw it. The strange looking Cherubi and then saw how it was heading towards his trainer. Eyes narrowing, he then jumped off the boy's shoulder, electricity radiating off of him as sparks flew towards the Cherubi in a Thundershock attack! There was no way he was letting this pokemon get near his trainer!

Slowly the crone would nod with the child's first two replies, tapping her wooden foot against the ground. Then the Mei would give her third and final answer...the old creature's eyes would glint brightly "...WRONG!"
The girl would hear it then, the flapping of wings as something swooped out from the fog. Two full sets of talons would latch onto Mei's clothing, grabbing her by the shoulders and whisking her into the air. She'd only be able to see them briefly through the fog, but they appeared to be Swellow. Ones whom now soared high above the forest.
Beating their wings swiftly to keep them and the girl aloft, the Swellow would angle themselves towards a small clearing. One which Mei would quickly find was rather nonsensically filled with a field of cacti.
As the two Flying-Types passed over the field, their claws would abruptly release her, and Mei would find herself falling rather promptly toward her prickly doom.
Nothing would be able to save her as she crashed into the needle covered plants; and although they would certainly break her fall, it would come at the price of quite a few cactus needles in her arms and rump. She now faced the unfortunate burden of being a Qwilfish Butt.

The Emolga would find himself too slow however, the electricity missing the little plant by a wide margin as it streaked through the air. Having made the unfortunate choice of turning around, Lyluk would never see the creature coming.
With the force of a softball the Cherubi would hit the boy in the back of his neck, latching on to him and biting down. Root like teeth would reveal themselves from within her mouth and dig into the boy's flesh, slowly sucking out 'nutrients' from the child.
This forest was a weird place indeed...after all, they'd just encountered a Vampiric Cherubi!

And as a sharp pain was spread throughout her weak body from the cactus needles, Mei's eyes started to water. Never had she felt this kind of pain before. She had always been careful throughout the years not to get hurt... and at the beginning of her pokemon journey, she had already gained an injury! Taking out the needles one by one, she had Ami help her pull them out from where she couldn't reach. Once the needles were pulled out, she continued to walk... She still had to find that Chrono Stone.
"Why do pokemon hate me?" She whimpered. "Ugh, I have to get used to this pain though..." Mei wiped away her tears and said to the Deerling,"This was a bad start, huh Ami?" She gave out a fake laugh before wincing in pain again. Even though the needles were no longer there... the marks it left were, and it still affected her movement...
"May Jirachi keep us safe from anymore danger..."

">Pray to whatever legendary ya please pilgrim, it ain't gonna save ya'll from me<" A strong, smooth voice purred from above the girl. The leaves high above Mei would rustle then, a flicker of purple fur appearing amidst the sea of green. Tail held high, ears directly slightly back, the lithe form of a Purrloin would appear upon a branch a few feet ahead of her.
Though his muzzle was covered with a bright white scarf, his words rang loud and clear, at least to those whom could understand him to begin with!
">Reach fer the sky!<" He called out, his scythe like tail pulling loosely upon an old rope. Looking up, the child would notice a rather large branch hanging above her; and through a series of complicated knots, it was attached to the rope the Purrloin now held.
">Hand over yer valuables, and nobody gets hurts!<" The message was pretty clear here. Meet his demands, or pay the price.

"It's a cat burglar!" Mei yelled out. And by the looks of it, he wasn't going to leave without taking anything. "Looks like we have no choice Ami... you're going to have to fight him." This was also a chance to gain more experience! "Fight well Ami. I can count on you." She smiled, and patted her lightly on the head. >Now that isn't the right way to ask someone for something...< She remarked. But at the same time... she questioned his motives. Why was he doing this? This forest was enough to feed him and it also had plenty of water... Why would he want more? >We'll have to settle this the way we're supposed to... an old fashioned fight until one of us gets knocked out.< She proclaimed.
