Will heartless be more drawn to the person using it or something? This seems a little to good to be true. Even if it's temporary," he said.

"yes and no. That charm wards off powerful heartless but can't stop small amounts of the shadows. Don't tell me you can't destroy a simple shadow." he said holding a shadow in his hand. ((the first heartless you encounter, the tiny ones))

Lawrence smirked. " Not as bad as I thought it would be. How temporary are we talking about here? I don't want to have to whip it out every half hour through months of his psychotherapy you know, " he said.

"I know, but a year is almost maxed out, thats when the heartless will start to be able to get closer, after a year. Depends on the amount of total darkness too though."

He hears something and then throws a fireball at a moving book
"DOWN!" he sighed and the fireball turned to ice which left the book un-singed but had a dent now.
"so" he turned back to you
"anything else?"

"just a heartless infested book from the dark library. If it tries to leave and open itself up, it will let loose a lot of heartless, but im rather good at target practice" he laughed

Cordinia walked into the room and tapped Lawrence on the shoulder. Lawrence looked back. " oh hey cordinia. I've got great news. We should be able to cure Eric. The crystal will siphon the malice in his heart long enough to convince him he's not evil," he said beaming. " So what was it you needed?" Cordinia stood awestruck for a moment then shook her head. " Yeah, I won't be coming back with you. My head is still pounding from the events recently and I'm slipping further and further into depression. Or maybe it's madness, either way I feel like garbage and need a nap. I'll be with Kiru and his family if you need me," she said as she was about to leave. She was stopped by Lawrence gripping her hand. " What do you want?" she said. Lawrence pulled her in for a hug. Cordinia felt extremely awkward. " good choice. Stay safe my friend," " What's with the sudden affection?" " In case I don't come back," he said letting go. He looked to jaster. " Is that all I'll need?" he asked. Cordinia left the room.

((sorry was in the hospital for tests)) Hearing the sadness in Cordinia's voice and hearing what she said about slipping into depression, madness, and her feelings at the moment, Jaster had to sit down.
"I know....how she feels" he said pulling a knee up to his face.
"I lost someone...close to me....by the darkness. My soul mate...many hearts were broken that day....mine included...the last piece that I had of her....thats it." he said nudging his head to the crystal.
"I used to hear her melody...her soft voice, and her light and darkness...but now I hear nothing. Even when im whole....I dont hear her. Ive had to....push....away any love. It hurts..." he sighed trying not to cry.
He then punched himself rather hard in his own chest which made him stop. He took in a few deep breaths and looked up at Lawrence.
"Sorry....I got a bit....emotional. What I get for trying. Anyway...yeah...thats all you need. Im sure there is enough time to save him."

Lawrence nodded. " thanks man," he said. He saw jaster punch himself. " hey, don't beat yourself up. If this works and I'm not dead by the end of it, I'll treat you and all my friends to a celebratory dinner," he said smirking. " And trust me, it'll take a lot more than some corrupted kid to beat me," he chuckled.
