 ((If you want to continue talking to Amelia, Sparrow, I'll reply and everything, just with "For Sparrow" at the top of those posts, so I confuse as few people as possible.))
Following the elder girl, Amelia felt a sense of belonging and contentment. Meiko would watch out for her; since by next year she'd be strong enough to do so on her own. She took her seat beside her new friend, getting two more pancakes herself. This time she choose blueberry ones, just for a little variety. With a copious amount of butter and syrup, she began to eat again. Finishing her first bite of her second meal, she asked Meiko, "Have you decided what you're going to do when you graduate?" Its tone was eager to learn, as she didn't know many jobs a witch choose to be. Ammy was always willing to learn something new, even if it could be counted as a little insignificant to the rest of the world.

Sparrow was hoping Ammy was more comfortable and said, "That sounds fine, and you are welcome down at the pitch anytime." After hearing about the surprise her parents got when the letter came sparrow said, "That must have been a shocker. Hope it all went well when it did come though." Sparrow was glad to hear that she might be taking flying class and stated," That is a good idea. Even if you don't plan on doing quiditch it is a fun and easy way to travel. Can also be a fun thing to do with friends." Sparrow the grinned some more. She wondered if Ammy would come to like quidditch and might be able to fill any holes on her team in years to come.

Amelia grinned a little, "It's good that my dad wasn't home; he would have thought the bird had the avian equivalent to rabies or something. Mom's too much of a tree-hugger to consider hurting the bird. It just came in our open window. And circled a few times. I think he was hungry, but I'm not feeding an owl some small." Her complexion turned a greenish color at the mere thought. She nodded, agreeing that would be her 'magical means of travel.' "I came here late, and the wizard who took me from London teleported into Hogsmeade. I spent five minutes throwing up. I'm never learning to do it myself." It was a good thing that talking about the experience didn't remind her enough to stop her from actually eating. She knew time was limited, even if she didn't have any classes coming up soon. She still needed to work on Charms.

Sparrow smiled as Ammy talked about her encounter with the owl and wondered about her father but didn't push the subject she the said, "What you did wasn't really teleporting. It was apparating. It can be quite disorienting the first couple times. I have only done side-along apparation with my family. I'm not of age yet. I believe you get used to it. It doesn't bother me as much anymore and it doesn't bother my older siblings at all."

Licking her lips, Amelia tested the word, "Apparating." Nodding to herself, she remembered the man warn her, though it did no good. "So at 18 you can learn to tel-apparate? Can you go pretty much anywhere? If it improves it might be worth it travel across the world through it. If it improves. Greatly. "Do you know if you have to be a witch or wizard to sidealong?" She believed that was the term Sparrow used. If not, though she could imagine how much her mother would save on vacations if she could take her there once she grew up.

Sparrow explained, "You can learn to apparate when you are 17, for in the wizarding world that is when a witch or wizard becomes of age. That is also the time when you are allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts." Sparrow then took another bite of her meal and continued, "Apparating long distances is a lot harder. Attempting far distances in one go isn't advised I believe." Sparrow then thought for a moment trying to remember all that she could from the books she read and said, "I don't recall anything talking about who you can sidealong. I'd assume that you could be a muggle, but I'm not sure."

Amelia held up her hand to stop her halfway through, "Wait. Did you say we can't use our magic outside of school? How won't we forget everything?" She looked mildly upset by the proposition; she'd been looking forward to being able to defend herself. She added also, "The side-along-thing's okay either way--it's just my family's Muggle born, so it'd beat long car rides." It was still in an offhanded way as the lack of magic at home was much more important.

Sparrow was surprised to hear that Ammy didn't know use of magic wasn't allowed outside of school until they were of age and said, "Oh well yea I believe it is mainly for secrecy reasons. If all the students went around doing magic all the time more muggles are bound to notice. Magic is allowed in very major emergencies like umm if not sure what a good example would be, but if you use it for anything but hard emergencies you could be expelled and your wand will be broken. It is a complicated process I think. Anyway, it can be hard to come back and just start using magic the next year, but if you study your books and just go over your spells in your head when you get back to school it isn't all that hard."

Amelia's eyes widened in fear. They break your wand?! Though she knew that a wand could change owners due to death or magical duels, but to kill it? Sparrow said the exact right thing. She wouldn't be touching her wand until she was back at Hogwarts. No matter how much trouble she got in, she knew that was WAY past the limit. Especially since she didn't realize you could be chosen by another wand. "But say if my house is on fire, I can use Aguamenti? Knowing her, she'd probably be scared to try it just in case, especially if she learned from her mistake with Sparrow and thought before casting spells.

Sparrow watched Ammy hoping she would understand and after Ammy replied Sparrow thought for a moment before saying, "Umm I don't really think so, but I'm not really that sure about the rules. I usually have my mother who is a witch or my older siblings around who are of age around to do stuff. I think magic is only permitted if it is accidental usage such as you get really angry and a glass suddenly bursts into shards or if you are using it in self defense such as another wizard is trying to harm or kidnap you or something. You might want to ask a teacher or the Headmistress about it some more." Sparrow didn't want to say something wrong and then be the cause of Ammy's expulsion.

Agreeing, Amelia declared, "So it's one of those things that if in doubt; don't cast the spell?" She could do that. In order to stay here, she could do anything. A summertime wasn't too long, and she didn't think her dad would come home this summer either. "Not that I have a broom, but what about flying? Since it's not our magic...and where I live there's only my aunt who knows I'm a witch anyway. I'd imagine having to relearn that would be harder. Or is it like riding a bicycle?" She wasn't sure if she'd get the reference, but if not she'd elaborate more.

Sparrow nodded and said, "That is probably best." She then thought for a minute she didn't have much of an idea of being muggle born was and said, "Well you need to remember that secrecy is one of the most important factors there. I've never actually gone a summer without flying because my family lives away from muggles and it is easy to keep it hidden. I'd imagine that if a neighbor of yours saw you flying on a broom you would have a hard time explaining that, but flying is pretty easy to keep your skill in I'm not really sure what it is like riding a bicycle, but if you wanted to be on the quidditch team it would be hard to keep your skill and improve if you cannot practice all the time." Sparrow didn't know if she was helping much coming from a wizarding family, but she hoped she helped some.

For a split second a haunted look crept into her eyes before she shoved it away. She knew all about secrecy. And it made sense. If she guessed right, Muggles greatly outnumbered wizards. Could you imagine if the two of them fought? What's Protego against a bomb? Ridiculous. Secrecy was necessary though she wondered who would believe them? She felt like she nodded through most of the conversation, but her head stayed in motion. "At least we have all term to learn. I survived just fine without magic before, I'm sure I could go back to it." She gave her a smile, as not to worry her further, and changed the topic, "Tell me about brooms. Which one do you use? Can you tell me about Quidditch in general?" She'd finished eating, but was completely willing to wait. She felt as if she could do anything, with the luck she had on her side right now.

Rose smiled when Ghaleon sat next to her.She made sure not to kiss him back,so not to ennoy her friends eating around her. Hmm...His hair looks rather cute and blue today...She thinks with a bright smile. "Hello Ghaleon. Mee? Nothing really.Other than my Grandma. What about you?Doing anything special?"She asks attentivly.
