Cable clenched his fist, and sent a crackle of electricity through his entire body. It was enough to throw Luxio off of him, as well as paralyze the lion. A smirk appeared on the Electabuzz's face. He had to admit that his ability to paralyze on contact came in handy when it needed to. He held his wrist and suddenly, his vision returned to him in full swing! That Confusion was finally over. He looked over at Kilik and nodded. "Let's get this show on the road!" Kilik said, swinging his arm. "Knock that Luxio out, Cable! Smack it with your Brick Break!"
Luxio didn't even have a chance to blink before being smashed in the face by Cable's fist. Despite his Intimidate ability, that hit still hurt and was much too strong for him to handle. He fell to the ground, his four legs sprawled out. Rebecca squeaked and recalled him, groaning. "You are the meanest boy ever!" Rebecca pouted after sending out her next Pokemon. "Flora, go!"
Now this was a Pokemon that Kilik was familiar with - Roselia. They were all over the place back home, and he knew they weren't too frightening. Yet there was something odd about Rebecca's choice. Of all the Pokemon, a Roselia? "Cable, use your Quick Attack!" It's resistant to both my Electric attacks and his Brick Break. Quick Attack is clearly the best option. Running forward with a streak of white light behind him, Cable rammed the Roselia head on, knocking it out almost instantly. He jumped back a few feet and pumped his fist into the air. Suddenly, he felt very ill. Dark lines appeared under his eyes and he stumbled, clutching his stomach. "What the?!"
"D'ohoho!" she chortled, "Fell right into my trap! It was a gamble, but boy did it pay off!" she recalled her fainted Roselia and clipped the ball to her belt. "She had an ability very much like your Electabuzz. But instead of doing something useless, like Paralyze, it Poisons the foe on contact! Now I just have to wait for your Electabuzz to fall under the pressure of the poison! In the meantime, I'll help it along. Go, Honey!" She threw another ball, this time, a small bee Pokemon emerged. It had the appearance of a honey-comb and had a red dot in the middle face.
"Combee, the Tiny Bee Pokemon. Of the species, only the females are capable of evolution. The males are reduced to be 'workers' when the strongest female evolves. At night, Combee sleep in a group of about a thousand, packed closely together in a lump."
"Cable," Kilik said sternly, "It's just two more weaklings. Do you think you can manage?" Cable nodded slowly, his breathing becoming labored. All of her Pokemon were falling by just one hit! This Com-whatever would be no different, especially since it had wings. Wings meant one zap and it was all over! He grit his teeth together, and prepared himself.
"Go, Honey! Use your Bug Bite!"

He swatted the pest away, but it didn't work. The Combee swerved around and bit him on his arm, roughly in the same spot the Luxio had bitten previously. Only this time, he bit down and flew off. What was with things biting him? He scratched the spot. It didn't hurt too terribly much, but it was slightly annoying and a bit itchy. He ran forward, knowing exactly the attack Kilik was going to call for - a Thunderpunch. His fist crackled for a moment before he slammed it, hard, into the Combee, making the insect spiral into a nearby tree. His eyes widened. He didn't mean to hit him that hard. Taking a few steps back, he felt his health drop from the Poison. He coughed slighly, and wiped his lip.
She recalled her Combee and sighed. All she had left was a doofy Bibarel. "Whaaatever," she said, pouting. "I don't even care anymore, Kilik. You win." She turned away and started heading back into the Pokemon Center.
"What!" he yelled at her, "G-Get back here!" He looked over at Cable then realized that perhaps continuing wasn't exactly the best idea. Rebecca did have a heart afterall, however small it may have been. "Let's get you healed up," he said, recalling his Electabuzz and running inside the building. Rebecca was nowhere to be seen. He figured that she was in the cafeteria, grabbing lunch or something. No big deal. When he approached Nurse Joy, she handed off his other four Pokemon to him. "He needs it too," he said simply, handing her the Pokeball that Cable was in. When she walked away, Kilik slid his hand into his pocket and rolled the Electrilizer repeatedly in his fingers. There was something about it that was really catching his attention.
The boy walked over to the PC and logged in to his account, looking at all of his Pokemon. He missed using a lot of them, especially his Ludicolo. Being able to throw his opponents for a loop with his different dance styles was always a plus. And then there were all of his powerhouse Pokemon. Flareon, Weezing, Scizor, Flygon...They truly were his cream of the crop. Aggron and Cable fit that bill as well. "What...?" he double clicked an icon of Sudowoodo then started laughing. "That's right! I caught that Sudowoodo that was blocking the way to Ecruteak! I used her all of five times, against the Kimono Sisters. And I think against Morty?" he didn't remember. It had been quite some time since he'd used the attention-needing Sudowoodo. She was certainly a card.
"Your Pokemon has been fully healed, Kilik."
He logged out of his PC and walked over to the desk, taking Cable back. "Thank you." He looked at the sphere in his hand and smiled, letting the Electabuzz back out. "Here," he handed him his Electrilizer again then recalled him. Suddenly, he felt very tired from all his hardcore training and all the walking he'd done recently. He sat down on the couch and sighed, stretching out. He'd leave after he was fully rested.

Sabrina contemplated Mike's response. "It's possible. Phoenix and the girls may have no idea whatsoever to do with themselves, being without a leader. And considering that they were all in training when I got there, they might not pose much of a threat."
I wish that I could say that and believe it without a shadow of a doubt.
The girl remained silent before speaking again. "Yes, we will stay," she replied. "And, I have met Blaine before, on occasion. We don't really know each other on a personal level, however. It isn't as though I dislike the man, as I have no reason to; rather, our paths just don't cross on a regular basis, so it's quite a rare occasion that we see one another. I'm certain that he's a great man."

The twins and their two Pokemon watched dumbfounded, as the tiny bird was able to carry the silver haired boy off. Junko lifted up her hand and waved. "Um, see yah..." she said, although by that time he was already too far away to even hear the girl. Hades also waved as they made their exit. He didn't really care about the boy but he was sad to see his new friend, Banette, leave so soon. He figured that they would meet again in the future and be able to scare all sorts of unassuming people.
"He was um... Weird." Jomei said, clearing his throat and raising an eyebrow at his sister. When she didn't seem to notice him-she was still staring off into the distance-he cleared it again, this time loud enough to get her attention. Now that his sister was focused on him he was much happier. "Oh yeah." he said, pulling the Great Ball from his belt. "You know a lot about stuff right?"
"Um, sure..." she rolled her eyes at the vagueness of his question. "Why?"
"Because. I got this Pokemon in a trade, and I'm not really sure what it even is." He explained to her while releasing the aforementioned Pokemon from its confinement. Upon its release, the blue slug made a noise that Jomei could only describe as if someone had stuck their whole fist into a jar of rotten mayonnaise. The boy cringed and fell to his knees at the thought of it. He placed the egg thoughtfully on the ground beside him so that he was able to use both of his arms to hold his now queasy stomach. "Do you know what it is?" he asked meekly, his face quite pale.
Pizza, still afraid of the recent addition to their party, dashed behind his trainer quickly. He glared at the slug from a distance, now feeling a bit more safe with a wall in between them.
Junko stared at her brother and the Cyndaquil for a second and sighed. Boys are so over-dramatic, she thought, putting a fist on her hip. She then turned her attention to the new Pokemon and studied it for a moment. It was a Shellos. An East Sea Shellos if she wasn't mistaken. She had seen them in a book about Sinnoh not too long ago. She noticed something about the Pokemon though. She noticed that it shared a strange likeliness to another specific Pokemon. A twisted grin played across her lips. "It's called a Shellos." Junko swept her bangs from her face, "It's the pre-evolution to Lapras." She knew, of course, that this was an utter lie. Her brother was somewhat of a gullible person, and Junko liked to take advantage of that fact for pure amusement. When they were kids she once told him that mud tasted like chocolate pudding. She shuttered a bit when she remembered how much her mother had yelled at her after the idiot had eaten like a handful of it.

Jett and River trudged on through the considerably lighter Petalburg Woods, both growing extremely tired of the constant, unchanging scenery.
"I hope we're close to Rustboro..." the boy sighed, and the Feeling Pokemon earnestly nodded in agreement. "Not even a trainer around. It's getting annoying." River nodded again, keeping a steady pace. She was so used to this forest, it didn't even scare her anymore.
The Ralts knew something was different, that something had happened over the course of this forest. She was unsure of what exactly happened, but there was definitely something new.
"Look." The two paused and gazed up at the trees. There was a small break between the barriers of leaves now, and sunlight drifted through. "Think it means we're getting closer to the end?" There was another nod.
River knew something was different. And as she walked with Jett (hopefully) toward the forest's end, she decided it was definitely something good.

Jomei's eyes narrowed as he peered at his sister from his position on the ground. "I don't believe you..." he said warily. "I've never heard of any Lapras pre-evolution." Of course he was suspicious of her answer. He was quite accustomed to the girl playing tricks on him. It had probably been at least five years since he had even come within ten feet of her on April Fools Day. The boy cringed again as he recalled a traumatic experience in his childhood involving mud.
"Fine," Junko shot back, "Don't believe me! You asked, and I answered." she had to turn her back on him to keep him from seeing her sneer. She watched as Jomei pushed himself back to his feet while muttering some obscenity under his breath. He then picked up the egg he had with him and clutched it comfortably against his chest. "So, what're you going to name that when it hatches?" she asked him, pointing to the oval object in his grip. "Something stupid? Like Omelette?" She and Hades shared a moment of laughter. The Shellos joined in, only because it liked to feel included, not because it knew what was going on.
"No." Jomei interupted their guffaw, "You think you're so smart, don't you?" He glared at them, but in the back of his mind he thought that it might be a pretty good name. "You're just jealous because I'm winning." he said, pointing his nose to the sky and puffing his chest out.
"At what?!"
"At having more Pokemon of course." Pride was oozing from his voice.
"No, you're not!" she asserted, giving him the evil eye. "We both only have two. We're tied."
"Nuh uh! I have three!" he shouted, shoving the egg in her face. He wore a grin from ear to ear.
"That doesn't count! It's just an egg."
"It does too! Inside this egg is a living Pokemon!"
"But you can't use it. What're you gunna do? Roll it at me!?" At this point the two were so up in each other's faces one would think they were Siamese twins.
Jomei backed away and calmly patted the egg he held in his arm. "Listen," he began, "we can just find out which one of us is better with a battle." He turned to look at Pizza to see if his partner was ready to get to work. He could feel his teeth grind inside of his head when he found his friend curled up in a ball, sound asleep on the ground. Why is he so lazy all of a sudden? the boy sighed and spun back around to face a Tentacool that had just been released.
Before her brother had even finished his sentence, Junko already had her gloved hand on Nereus' Pokeball and she flung it forward as soon as he said the word 'battle'. She was excited to battle her twin for the first time and she could feel a wide grin creep onto her face.
Hades felt a bit jealous when his friend sent out the alien looking Pokemon instead of himself. He figured that while Nereus was starting the battle, he'd be the one to finish it. And so the skull faced Pokemon looked on and eagerly awaited his turn.

"I'm so sure we're close to the end of this place, River!" Jett ignored the fact that he said that maybe an hour ago. Maybe we're lost...
River gently patted her trainer's arm before the two leapt to their feet at the sound of rustling. A small boy emerged from the bushes.
"Hi," he said plainly, and Jett frowned. "You're kinda loud, you know. But you're right. You're near the end."
"...Really?" Jett asked in slight disbelief. The boy nodded.
"Yeah," he replied nonchalantly, looking up at the trees. "Route 103 is maybe ten minutes from here."
"..." Jett twitched. He had been going in circles? River did nothing, staring intently at the Pokeball on the boy's belt. "Yeah, thanks. I'm Jett."
"I'm Justin," the boy said, adjusting his cap proudly.
He's definitely younger... Jett noticed with slight surprise. And he's kinda bugging me. Though that might be the failure talking. I need to be nice and figure out where Rustboro is.
"Are you lost?"
"...Yeah, I guess. Can you tell me which direction to go? I'm heading towards Rustboro."
"Oh, yeah. I have a map. I can tell where to go. But," Justin sneered at the taller boy, "I'll only tell you if you beat me in a battle..."
"...Of course," Jett forced a smile, clenching his fists. "Let's battle."

"Do you only have that?" Justin demanded, casting a dispassionate glance toward River. Jett twitched.
"Yes," he replied coldly, "so let's make it one-on-one." He was getting fed up with this kid.
"Time to battle!" Justin hurled his only Pokeball into the air, releasing a Zigzagoon that fell and growled at its new foe.
"First move goes to you," Jett shrugged, stepping back. "Are you ready, River?" River nodded almost instantly, eager to figure out what had happened to her. Perhaps a battle would help.
"Tackle!" And so the Zigzagoon did, charging forward with admirable speed. It leapt off the ground and launched itself at River, who was now bracing herself for impact while waiting for instruction.
"Dodge and grab its tail. River, don't always wait for me," Jett warned as the Ralts jumped out of the way and seized the bushy tail. "Do what you feel is right. Now try to swing it!" River did try, but the Zigzagoon was far too heavy for her strength.
"Tail Whip!" Justin grinned as the Zigzagoon suddenly whipped around, swinging the Feeling Pokemon into the atmosphere. She tumbled into the ground and got back to her feet, enraged.
"Growl!" River attempted her best intimidating growl, but it still remained cute. The Zigzagoon almost felt bad for the poor thing.
"Time to test out that new move, Zigzagoon! Use Headbutt!" Justin commanded, and the Zigzagoon darted forward. Again, River only braced herself for impact.
"River!" Jett growled, watching the Tinyraccoon Pokemon lowering its head. "Don't always wait for me! Quick, get ready--"
"Oh!" the Ralts uttered as the Zigzagoon's attack hit directly, knocking the wind out of her. She fell back, landing in the dirt. River twitched, standing up again, but it was clear that she had taken some serious damage.
We're in some definite trouble, Jett thought as he struggled to come up with some sort of strategy to make sure he won this battle.

"It's all right, you hit like a girl," Keegan grinned, buckling himself in to prepare for the landing. He'd only ever flown in a chopper once before, and that had been when he'd demanded that Sheridan take him to Fuchsia City after she'd forced him to hand over Helios. However, he'd been so distraught over the whole ordeal that he didn't even really remember much about the flight at all. He wasn't sure what to expect, so he drummed his fingers on his knees and waited to see if this Ronald fellow was as air-worthy as Blaine gave him credit for. Even as they began to descend, he couldn't help but wonder how all of this was going to go down. He knew Mike would probably be glad to see Kasiya and Mitsu and Sasha, and chances were good that they'd be able to help him in one way or another, but the same couldn't be said for him. What was he supposed to say and do? Sure, they had been the best of friends at one point, but now that seemed like it had been such a long time ago. The last thing he wanted to do was show up and make things worse, despite the fact that he'd never admit it out loud. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, feeling as though someone had taken his stomach and tied it in a knot, and he desperately wanted a cigarette even though he knew he couldn't have one until after they landed. Maybe I can just wait in the chopper, he thought, more than halfway serious. He'd never even have to know I was here...

Mitsu buckled up and prepared to land. She wasn't really sure of what she'd be doing in this volcano but whatever it was she did want to make sure Mike knew that she was there for him. She'd done something terrible at the beach party, by not standing up for him before Giovanni and all the others as he lost his mind. But she had her reasons, truly she did! Mitsu shook her head, pushing away the thoughts as she'd so easily done days before. Her headache had slightly died down now, thank goodness. The last thing she wanted to do was faint on the helicopter descent. Mike, please be okay. . .

"Rhyme!" Mia shouted, "We're going to use your Quick Attack to dodge okay?" She pumped her fist, really getting into the training. "Tangelo! Give me two Vine Whips, one to the left and one to the right, kay?"
Jello nodded, hopping back a few feet. The tangle of vines scarcely took a few seconds to concentrate before launching two vines just as directed, one aimed towards Rhyme's left flank and the other aimed toward her right. The blue-green vines rushed towards their target with deadly accuracy.
The right vine came in close first. "Okay, Rhyme! Quick Attack!" Mia instructed. The Floatzel nodded before racing off to the left, deftly avoiding the vine with ease. Jello, however, was already hot on his tracks, the vine that was stretched towards the left coming straight for Rhyme's face. "Now Rhyme! Shift to the left!" Mia shouted.
The Water type tried her best to concentrate, however, she was too slow, only slightly veering off to the left before being smacked down by Jello's vine. "Stand up!" Mia shouted her voice holding more confidence and authority, similar to her father's. "Again!" she barked at Jello, a rough smile on her face. The two Pokemon rest themselves, secretly smiling, quite happy to see Mia in such a focused and determined mood.

Ryka watched as Saffron City passed through the window of the taxi. It was so big! Being from a small town herself, Ryka was sure she'd never seen a city this large. So many flashing lights, so much to see! Some day, she hoped, she could come back and look around. After what seemed like a half an hour, the duo exited the taxi and came to the opposite outskirts of the city.
The pair chitchatted and walked along towards Cerulean, until Fantina came to a stop. There was a pair of trainers seemingly arguing off to the side of the path. Fantina motioned towards them, asking whether they should go see if everything was alright. For a moment Ryka wondered whether they'd interrupting anything, but the two weren't quite talking anymore, just..fuming. Ryka nodded, and the purple-clad pair wandered over to the couple.
"We're sorry to interupt, but...are you two alright?" Ryka asked with genuine concern. "Is there anything that we could help you with?"

River felt herself sway on her feet, watching the Zigzagoon chase its own tail. She didn't understand it all.
"River! Don't let that Headbutt rattle you!" Jett called from the sidelines, but River tilted her head. How could this Zigzagoon attack if it was just chasing its tail? "Don't fall for it! Get ready to dodge!"
"Headbutt!" Justin called, and the Zigzagoon flawlessly transitioned from seemingly playing to charging toward the disoriented Ralts. Another direct hit would end this battle for sure.
"River!" Jett growled again. "Dodge it!" The Ralts shook her head, it was far too unsteady to simply dodge. "Do something! I know you have it in you!"
The Zigzagoon neared and River felt something burst through her, a strange power. She looked that Zigzagoon straight in the eye and--
Confusion.
The Zigzagoon's attack was halted forcibly as River threw him back with the attack. It landed with a dull thud, shocked that it had been stopped, and Jett and Justin stared blankly at the Ralts who now was twitching with anger.
"...You learned Confusion," Jett pointed out, and River cast him that 'Thanks for that, Captain Obvious' look. But almost instantly, the two were grinning at Justin. The battle was on.

Nero called both his Pokemon out, first Clooney, who seemed to almost pounce right out of the bright red light.. "Maao.. Raoth!" He grinned, Clooney seemed to be happy today, which was a good thing. Maybe he'll only get FOUR Scratches today! As he broke his thought-train, Nero plucked the other, newer PokeBall off his belt, and tossed it to the sky, "Come on out, Icarus!" The Starly fluttered about surprisedly, not aware of where he was, and why he suddenly had to fly around, instead of the nice soft ground he was on earlier... "Staahh?! Rii! Riistar?!" it cawed, and fluttered somewhat clumsily to the ground... "Sorry, buddy... guess I should'a been more considerate, eh...?" Nero said, empathetically. Starly nodded, and fluttered up to his shoulder.
And so, with his bird and cat pokemon team, Nero decided to train them both today.. "Now, Clooney, go easy on this starly. He's a friend now. Got that?" Nero asked, petting Clooney on the jawline. "Maaaooooth...." he seemed to agree.
"What sorts of tricks can you do, Icarus? Show me your moves!" he said, and chuckled... "Heh... Captain Falcon..."
The Starly searched for a target... That twig will do finely it thougt, and performed his attacks. First, he looked at the twig.. a strange noise came from his beak... "Okay... that's probably Growl... Good, good..." Nero said, studying Icarus' movements. Starly chirped. Then, he backed up two hops and teetered foreward, hitting the twig with his shoulder area. "Oh, nice tackle, Icarus!" Starly chirped again. Then, he seemed to concentrate... Whatever it was, he must not be used to it yet.. Which isn't bad. Infact it'd be what he'll practice today. Then, in a blur of grey, he snapped the twig in thirds... "Wow! Impressive Quick Attack!"
Nero pitted the two together. "Alright, now... Clooney go easy on Icarus. He's a newbie. So, here's what you're gonna do.... Clooney, you perform a Scratch Attack, and Icarus, try to dodge or counter it with your Quick Attack!" The two pokemon nodded in agreement, staring at eachother competitively.
I'm gonna get you, you stupid bird! Clooney hissed.
Not if I have anything to do with it... Dumb Cat...
"Alright, begin!" Nero said, sipping a soda bottle.

No sooner had they begun to descend had Ronald landed the helicopter with professional grace. "See?" Blaine said to the kids, grabbing his cane. "Pain in the a** but a great pilot." Ronald could be heard sighing in the cockpit. "Oh lighten up, Ron. I'm just messing around. Now come on out and let's fill out the usual paperwork." The vehicle had touched down on the grass beside his hotel, the Big Riddle Inn. It was a small hotel, which could house a few dozen people. Sasha was interested in it because it was about the only hotel in Kanto her dad didn't own. With a grunt, the Gym Leader slowly stepped down onto the ground and walked to the door.
"Alright." Ronald said somewhat despondently, climbing out of his seat and stepping out from the helicopter. He quickened his pace when he saw Sasha stepping down, who held her skirt in place due to the now slowing blades still generating a lot of wind.
"C'mon kids." Blaine said with a wave, opening the door and walking in. He led the children behind the front counter, into his office, and after making everyone turn around, pulled out a book on the shelf behind the chair. An affirming click signified the Gym Leader had pulled the correct one, as the entire bookcase shifted, giving way to a dimly lit tunnel.
"Z'his iz so excit'eeng!" Sasha squealed. "Eet'z like somes'hing out of a mystery f'eelm!" Blaine chuckled at the girl's excitement and motioned for everyone to follow. "Mind your head." he cautioned, ducking slightly.
"Ow." Ronald forgot to duck.
The Gym Leader led everyone down a long, dark tunnel. The few scattered candles did little to push back the darkness. "It's gonna get real hot soon, kids." he said. "You might want to take of that scarf, Mitsu." the man added. After a few minutes of walking, the group came to a small metal door. Beside the door there was a panel with a keypad. Once again having everyone turn around, he entered a surprisingly numerous code. It must have been around twenty numbers.
"Z'his man sure likes h'ees security." Sasha said to her friends.
"You can never be too safe." Blaine replied. "I've got a good deal of entrances and exits to this place. Only two of them are public, and those are what trainers get to use when they solve my riddles." He turned and smiled. The wall behind him made a loud, scraping noise.
Sasha took in a breath, the silence around her as the door slowly opened was unbearable. She wanted to see her friend, but she was scared of just what she might see. For all she knew, he could be curled into a ball, crying hysterically at this very moment. The thought made her stomach drop. No doubt her friends were all thinking the same thing. She gripped her beret tightly in her hand as Blaine slowly opened the door and the light from the next room flooded the walkway.
------
A wall on the side of the Gym revealed itself to be not a wall, but a door. The dirty liar! How dare it pretend to be a safe and solid barrier protecting him from the outdoors! It should be ashamed of itself. Mike stood up quickly and readied himself, just in case it was someone other than Blaine. Thankfully, Mike's suspicions were only half wrong. It was in fact Blaine who stepped out first, but behind him was a strange man he did not recognize, then...Sasha, Kasiya, Mitsu and...Keegan?! Mike took a step back. "W-what's going on here?" he said with a nervous laugh. "This isn't your doing is it?" he looked towards Nina and Sabrina, who both shook their heads.
"Hm?" Blaine noticed the two girls standing in his gym. "Sabrina? What brings you here?"
"Nina? Sabrina?" Sasha said in confusion. What were they doing here with Mike? She turned to look at the boy, and her expression changed to one of pure horror. She gasped at the sight, bringing her hand up to her mouth. There was Mike alright, standing right there. His shirt seemed to have been burned off of him, and only tattered and charred remains held into place by his shorts remained. His hair was uneven and wild, which barely covered the giant gash on his forehead. Blood had run down the boy's face and dried, just like the day of the party. His eyes lacked their usual vitality, and instead hung, very prominent bags had formed from lack of sleep. His posture was misaligned, and Sasha could see spots on his leg and torso that seemed...off. They were almost too clean. All of the girl's hangups flew out the window and tears began to well up in her eyes. "Mike!" Sasha cried, looking around frantically for a way to get down.

Everything seemed to creep by so slowly once the helicopter had landed, and Kasiya followed along after Blaine almost automatically, her mind blank and her heart racing. She didn't even seem to notice that this was a hotel, nor did she hear any of the conversation going on around her. All she knew was that Mike was here somewhere, and that she needed to get to him. She watched the hidden panel slide open as though she saw that kind of thing every day, holding up her hand to shield her face from the heat that had started to build. Their shadows danced along the walls as they made their way along the corridor, Kasiya watching the flames from the candles as though they were about to extinguish themselves at any given moment. "How does he keep that code memorized?" she pondered quietly to herself once Blaine had entered the six-billion digit code, and the wall behind him began to slide open.
Kasiya felt her heart stop beating as they stepped into a brightly lit room, and once her eyes were able to adjust Kasiya let out a small gasp at the sight of her friend, her heart remembering how to beat in a very sudden and painful manner. He looked awful; worse off than he had days ago after the beatings he'd suffered in Slateport, and it looked as though he'd walked through fire, repeatedly. He was exhausted, that was plain to see, and she imagined he had slept very little, if even at all. Despite all this, she'd never been happier to see him, and she offered a weak little smile, eyes shining with tears. She pushed past the panicking Sasha and hopped down from the raised platform, moving quickly towards Mike, though she stopped when she was only a few feet away from him. She didn't know what else to say to him, so she gave a tiny little wave and giggled. "Hi."
It was about this time that she noticed two familiar girls standing in the room nearby, along with an Espeon. Kasiya recognized Nina almost immediately and her face lit up, but her expression quickly changed to one of utter shock and surprise when she saw that it was Sabrina standing next to her. "S-Sabrina?" she whispered, a wave of dizziness washing over her. Perhaps it was the shock of seeing the state of her friend, the nearly crushing heat of the volcano, the fact that someone she'd believe to be dead was now standing in front of her, or maybe even all of the above, but regardless it was all pretty overwhelming. Kasiya mumbled something incoherently before her eyes rolled back in her head and she fainted, falling limply to the rocky ground.
