"I came to see this lifemate my big sister begged me to help her fight for." Serena eyed Valzar up and down. "Well well well. He's quite the looker. I'm not sure where you found him at, but maybe he knows where my real lifemate is." She smiled and moved to walk around Valzar, to check out his "assests."
"Don't oogle him!" The voice that came out was very unlike Callista's. It was authoritative and threatening. She stopped short and blinked. "I...I mean, leave him alone, I don't like it and I'm sure Valzar doesn't either."

"I'm checking you out. Callista said you were handsome, but she never let me see a picture. I had to know what I was fighting for." She whistled low. "Once again, congratulations on your fine catch, Callista."
"Did you come here for anything important, or are you going to continue to infringe upon my privacy and my lifemate's privacy?" Callista was glaring now, very jealous of the way that Serena was looking at her lifemate. She placed a hoof possessively on Valzar's and growled before she knew she'd even uttered a noise.

Valzar's attention immediately shifted from the other girl (she was not a threat) to Callista. "What is it?" he asked softly concerned by the unfamiliar sound. "Are you alright?"

Serena giggled. "She's fine. My sister, it seems, is incredibly jealous. She thinks I'm going to try and steal you away. And I would, if you weren't my sister's lifemate and I didn't have my own."
Callista tensed up. "Touch him and I'll have to hurt you. Sister or not, I won't hold back." She looked like she was about ready to pounce on Serena, the muscles in her shoulders twitching with the effort she was making to hold herself in check.

"Lifemate," Valzar said softly trying to pull Callista back to him his he wrapped his arms around her. This is the sister you told me about, isn't it? The one who would give you flying lessons and you tried to teach her kindness... Though Valzar wasn't exactly happy with the memory he pushed aside his own feeling as he tried to connect with Callista.

Callista melted back into his body, still staring at Serena. Yes. And she's very nice...just not right now or to me... "Serena, I'm sorry. I...didn't mean that. I mean, I did, but I didn't."
Serena smiled. "I'm sure. What a good lifemate too. Instead of being all macho, he's holding you back. No matter, you've provided enough fun for me. It's nice to know when I've had a bad day I can come and ruffle you up."

Serena shuddered just an instant before she stiffened back up. "But she's my sister. I have more stake than you do in that matter. You're not even Carpathian."
Callista bit her lip, frightened by Valzar's sudden voice change. "You said you'd had a bad day...What's going on?"

Serena sighed and twirled her hair. "My stupid lifemate, that's what's going on. Why can't he be sweet and caring, like yours?" She pouted.

Valzar regarded the girl for a moment. Callista, why is she so unhappy with her lifemate? Is he another mortal like me?

No, he's carpathian and a jerk. He didn't want to help you and I when I first went to them, but Serena did. They ended up getting in a huge fight and he tried to kill himself for Serena's sake. It was...bad, to say the least. Daddy ended up coming in and almost fighting the male and his brother. "I'm sorry Serena. Maybe Pip will get better?"
Serena smiled. "I wish. I don't think you can teach an old dog new tricks."
