[Nathan A. Wilson]

"Oh, come on, Chance," Nathan scolded with a roll of his eyes. "I can do better than thirty in three. I can't believe you'd underestimate me like that." Trying to keep a straight face but failing, the white mage laughed giddily and hugged the other male again, unable to resist embracing him when he had the... opportunity.

"You started the Cat's Eye? I've been going there for ages, how have we not run into each other?" Almost pouting, Nathan ruffled his companion's hair. "That's just not fair. And your hair is too long to play with properly... When we go shopping, we're getting you a haircut, mister." He gave Chance a very stern look, nodding emphatically.

"Oh, whatever might you be suggesting of me, dear Chance?" he asked with a wink, squeezing his friend's hand. The amused glimmer in the emerald pair of eyes was reflected identically in the ice-blue pair, accompanied by a ruby grin.

"Hm. That is odd." He shrugged. "I also work part-time at a library, so I'm not always there... though usually. I don't know, maybe I should have taken a random walk sooner. I could have found you ages ago." He smiled a bit and shook his head, then pulled his hair back and ran his fingers through it.

"I've gotten used to my hair long... it would be strange to cut it again. I like it like this." He met Nathan's stern look, though the slight glare was ruined by the smirk he couldn't keep off his face completely.

"You know exactly what I'm suggesting, Nathan dearest." He squeezed his friend's hand back and lead him on to the hotel.

"I hope you realize that I missed you."

[Nathan A. Wilson]

"Maybe you just didn't notice me buried in the corner with my nose crammed in a book." Laughing softly, Nathan nuzzled Chance's neck a little and played with his hair.

"Psh. You look so much better with it shorter, but just long enough to fall in your eyes all sexy... It's gorgeous that way." His decorated lips softly kissed the other male's cheek, his lipstick lingering there.

Happily following the black mage, the white mage wrapped his arm around his waist and leaned his platinum-blond head on the other's shoulder. "I missed you, too, Chance... a lot more than words can say."

"Possibly. I was often in the same position." Chance shook his head roughly, making his hair tickle Nathan's face.

"I like it this way. I don't care that you can't play with it... just that much less time I have to sit still for you." He smirked and took his hat back from the white mage, pulling it on before placing his arm around Nathan's shoulders. His free hand rubbed at the lipstick left and he made a face at his friend.

Chance turned his head and brushed his lips across the top of Nathan's head. "I know. Trust me."

Isabella decided to go for a walk to kill time before the show. She gathered up everything she would be taking along with her then made her way out, grabbing a small box and placing it in her bag before she went out the door.

Feeling much better, Isabella took the stairs as usual. She felt energized after her shower and meal so she took the stairs in pairs, humming one of VM's songs all the while.

Maybe I should go somewhere. I do have a couple of hours to spare, afterall. Isabella made her way back towards all the shops in the city, looking around for something to do, or someone to talk to.

[Nathan A. Wilson]

Clinging gently to his best friend, the transvestite turned his head to meet Chance's lips with his own. He hadn't really considered the action before he did it; then again, as he recalled, years ago they hadn't considered the consequences of a lot of things...

"Come on, Chance, you can do better than that!" Nathan at eighteen, not much different from present-day, swung a huge pillow at his best friend. Both were absorbed in fits of laughter, pillows scattered around the room, each of the boys holding two. After a few more wild swings, the teen mages flopped onto the darker-haired one's bed.

"I win... That was fun," the black mage stated quietly, running a hand through the white mage's long platinum hair. He received a nod in reply.

"Mm. I love you, Chance."

"I love you, too, Nathan," Chance replied casually, running a hand through his short hair. Pale blue eyes blinked at him slowly.

"No, I mean... I...
love you, love you..." A crimson blush spread across the smaller boy's cheeks and he cast his gaze downward in embarrassment.

There was a long, stunned pause. "N-Nathan, I... You..." The redhead bit his lip, hugging his best-friend-turned-crush tightly. "I... I'd say we could... give it a shot, but... I'm going back to England soon, and you're moving to America... things are already going to be difficult..."

"It won't make them any more difficult, Chance... and not doing anything won't make them any easier." Trembling, they clung to each other until one of them could figure out how to break the silence.

Or not. Still silent, their lips found each other, the need to be together much stronger than their fear of the impending doom of separation.

Jolting out of his flashback, Nathan pressed himself against Chance firmly, clinging to him much like he did that night six years ago, and kissed him again. Damn, he had missed him...

Chance was mildly surprised at the contact, but didn't pull away. He held Nathan even closer, if that was possible, and kissed him repeatedly, trying to convey how much he was missed. They hadn't had much time before they parted ways, but they had still been the best of friends when they seperated. A little more, perhaps.

"mm. come on, Nathan... We'd better go. To the hotel, then we can go to the Cat's Eye if you want." Nuzzling his cheek, he reluctantly pulled away from his companion, but he took Nathan's hand and held it tightly.

Zip darted inside just before the silver-haired male closed the door on him, hiding behind and then under the couch. He pressed close to the ground, tilting his head so he could hear what they were saying.

well. you're inside. what now? He realized, a bit late, that he had no idea how to proceed.

[Nathan A. Wilson]

Melting into every kiss, Nathan's mind whirled with excitement and euphoria. He was back with Chance; he was kissing Chance; Chance was kissing him back. It was heaven.

"mm... right. Hotel." Nuzzling back, the white mage leaned his head on the black mage's shoulder again and squeezed his hand lovingly. "I'd love to go to the Cat's Eye, but I think I have to hurry to the club to get set up and sound checks and all that crap... I don't want Alan angry with me. Not when we're stage-snogging tonight." He blushed softly, worried that his companion might be upset he was touching lips with other people...

Chance didn't like the idea of someone else kissing Nathan, but he had heard about their performances and wasn't all that surprised. Thinking about it, he realized that he didn't really have any right to be unhappy with him kissing other people; he had been absent from the blond's life for a few years. If he had found someone else he loved, even, Chance couldn't complain. It didn't mean he liked it, but he wouldn't get in the way of Nathan doing what he wanted.

Nodding, Chance started them towards the hotel again, the feeling that they hadn't been seperated for so long slowly dissipating. They
had been seperated for that long. Things were different. At least enough to be a little awkward. For a minute he had forgotten that, but he wouldn't let it happen again. He had to find out what had changed since they last saw each other; it could mean the difference between kissing Nathan or carefully keeping his distance.

[Nathan A. Wilson]

Sighing lightly in happiness, Nathan swung his hand that was holding Chance's joyfully. He was thrilled to be back with his best friend... or whatever he was to him. It had turned into something a little more toward the end...

"Chance..." he began softly, trying to organize what he wanted to say as they continued walking. A light laugh kicked off the beginning of his next sentence. "It's been so long, but it feels like it was just yesterday we were wandering about Scotland together..." Looking up into the deep emerald of his companion's eyes, he smiled shyly. "My feelings for you... haven't changed. You know what they say... 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'..."

[David Bacardi]

As Andrew stepped away from him, David smirked slightly and wrapped his arms around the boy's waist from behind. Following him to a seated position, he held him almost protectively.

"Ignore it, dear," he whispered, nibbling at the other male's ear. "You have more important things to focus on... Don't you think?" Smirking, he trailed his fingers along the sensitive skin of Andrew's neck.

Helena tilted sideways, taking the Suzuki to a entrance to her left that led her to a small parking spot slightly towards the back. Upon her arrival, she jumped off her bike and began her climb up the stairs after shoving open the heavy door. The fresh air she had gotten earlier gave her plenty of energy to skip stairs until she made it to her floor.

"I wonder if anyone else is here," she smashed her hand to the side of her head after shoving the giant door open to her floor, "I should have looked for any cars that I could recognize!"

After her epiphany, Helena had come to the door of the room, and reached down at the handle to see if it was unlocked. To her surprise, it had been so she let herself in, only to find Nyx and Fortayu sitting on the couch.

"Hey." Though she tried to hide it as she passed the couch and walked out to the deck where she often enjoyed sitting, her face and voice still hollow from the day's events.

[Nyx D. Altair]

"I... I want you to stay," Nyx stated quietly, biting his lip. He now felt a little odd, sitting there on the hotel couch with this stranger he had, for some unknown reason, trusted completely while off his meds. He had never, ever before been able to trust anyone without his medication. Even Alan struggled to get anything through to him at all. This man was special to him now; the skeletal Kaltec was afraid to let him go, for fear he'd never return...

"I don't need my cane... just yet..." Sighing lightly, he squirmed a bit in his seat to get more comfortable, slouching a little and propping his bad leg up on the coffee table. "I'll get it when we go back to prep for the show."

He only half glanced up as Helena walked in. She walked right past them and off to the balcony, so all he really could do was mutter an "um, hi...?" before she was out of range. Sighing, he watched her for a moment, eyes lingering on the bite he had given her...

[Alan K. Altair]

"Honey, for God sakes, hush." Kissing the nameless fan on the lips after each of her sentences, Alan couldn't help but laugh softly. "It's adorable in some ways, that you keep talking, I mean, but there are limits." Nipping at her neck further, he let his lips lazily trail upward to her ear, nibbling playfully at the lobe and then nuzzling her generously.

"If you're nervous, miss, we could always stop until you've calmed down... Honestly, I think you need a nap." He patted her head gently and laughed quietly, kissing the tip of her nose. "Come backstage after the show tonight, alright?" Very carefully, he stood, still holding her as if she was in his lap. Turning slowly, he set her down in the chair, ran a hand through her hair briefly, flashed her a brilliant smile... and left.

Elizabeth stared dumbly as he lifted her, not knowing how to respond. She had the distant look of someone staring off into space, or perhaps even dying. Her mouth hung ajar as she stood, unable to speak.

...And with that, he was gone. She still sat, her ankles neatly crossed in front of her. She loosely pulled at the knees of her faded jeans, as if trying to do something, anything with her now empty hands. After a minute or so of thoughtless sitting with the dumb look on her face, she snapped back into reality. Her head shook on impulse quickly for a second, and then she swore. "God dammit," she then sighed, exhasperated at her own stupidness.

She was quite tempted to start beating the crap out of herself in a style reminiscent of the way Edward Norton had done so in that one scene from Fight Club, but she refrained. I might as well stay pretty...she thought, sighing and shaking her head once again. It's pretty much all I have going for me...

Elizabeth proceeded to glance at her watch, designed to look like a pretty, silver bracelet, and decided it was time to run home, get ready for the big night. Getting up and walking out, Elizabeth saw the last moments she had with Alan flash in her mind. "Backstage, huh? Well, I probably wrecked my chances of getting the good stuff for life, but, it would be with him..." Sighing dreamily, Elizabeth rounded the corner, quickly nearing her crappy apartment.

-------

Andrew sighed, flipping the phone shut once more. "I know," he muttered. "I just have a reoccuring fear that the one time I don't bother to care, I should have. You know, an emergency or something else that's dire." He sighed one more, turning to David. "Then again, I also happen to be crazy, so that might explain a lot of things..." He was about to slip the phone back into his pocket when it vibrated a third time.

"Words could not describe how much I hate this device, you know?" He pulled the phone back out, and stared at it for a moment. "******** 'em." He threw the phone overhanded, and it landed on the sidewalk across the street. Visible pieces flew off of it, but Andrew was back, staring at David once again. He grabbed David's hand in his sweaty fingers and proceeded to pull the two of them onto their feet. His eyes flickered behind him once more, but not to look at the broken cell phone.

"My a** is very, very wet..."

Chance blinked at Nathan as he began speaking, silently greatful that he had answered his unspoken quesion. There were no outer signs of relief, his posture staying just as not-quite-casually-stiff as it was before. He raised an eyebrow at the white mage as he said what they said.

"Please tell me you didn't just quote at me. That.... is very lame." Smiling, the redhead relaxed almost imperceptibly. He wasn't sure where he wanted to go with their almost-lover status; it had been way too long to pick up where they left off, though the idea was exceedingly appealing. He would have to find out if he really thought it could work out, with him owning a business and the blond being in a band. For the moment he decided not to commit to anything, but wait and see what happened.

He still didn't like the idea of other lips touching his Nathan though.

Snapping out of his short break from reality, he hoped that his friend hadn't noticed. It had only been a few seconds...

"You're sappy and hopelessly romantic. We'll see how things work out." He patted his companion on the head condescendingly. He had always made fun of Nathan for being mushy and romantic, though he had his own moments. He wasn't quite so.... blatant about it. Just small things. But Chance did have times where he was very, very hypocritical.

"So. Going to plague your bandmates with my presence?"
