"I'm fine, especially now," Arai said with a smile, grasping Ryuu's hand, "Although it isn't all over, this whole thing is a lot more complicated than we thought, there are at least three families involved. Only one has things settled, and that is yours. Seems the Koga family wanted to test you, but I got in the way. I don't know what my family wanted but they were involved in the shooting as well, I also don't know who the other family involved is, I assume it has something to do with Terrence."
I doubt this is what my brothers would have wanted for me, their dog has broken its leash and freed itself from their grasp.

Ryuu smiled, "It will be easier to keep Terrance out of his family's reach with an entire Yakuza family and the guards of Ouran watching over him." Ryuu crossed his arms, "However, he'll most likely not be easy to persuade to never see his family," he sat in the chair, "Why don't you go convince Yuriko to talk Terrance in to staying at the school until he's completely healed. That should keep him here for at least another month. It will give us time to stop his family from killing him."

What do I care if Terrence lives or dies at this point? His face also said what he was thinking.
"Fine, I'll talk with Yuriko," Arai grunted, "But first, what does your family think of me, a Gyakusatsu, even working with a Koga?"

"Terrance is a valued contributor to society. Therefore must live." Ryuu said flatly, "As for my family, they don't really care. With the name of the Yakuza changing to my surname it means that what they think about you is little consequence to us."
Keiko walked in the room she had just gotten over her cold that put her out for a few days. Her long blonde hair was put up into a neat bun with two jeweled straight pins sticking out. "Ryuu!" She called out when she saw him, "You didn't wait for me this morning!" She pouted as she ran up to him. She turned and finally noticed Arai, "What are you doing here?" She said prudently, "Or are you planning on becoming a host as well?" She finished with a slight chuckle.
"Keiko," Ryuu said very sternly, "You shouldn't treat a fellow member of the family with such distain." He looked at her, "Especially when they are the second in command."
Keiko looked at Ryuu with a blank look on her face. "Fellow member?" She said in a low voice, "Wait, second in command?" She backed away from Ryuu and put her hands on her hips, "What's going on here?"
"With everything that had happened yesterday grandfather has decided that we both should win. I will run the family from behind closed doors without giving up anything that I've gained." Ryuu directed Keiko's eyes to Arai, "Arai does well in bad situations. He's keen and works well as a leader. It would be foolish to let such talent rot in the Gyakusatsu Yakuza."
"Plus I'm sure you are well aware of what happened to Terrance yesterday."
Keiko was very confused she had never seen her brother like this and the fact of the matter was, she didn't like it.

Arai had a cocky smile on his face when Ryuu said "It would be foolish to let such a talent rot in the Gyakusatsu Yakuza."
He turned to Keiko, "You know, this will work in your benefit too. You wont have to deal with me being under orders from my brothers to woo you. Besides your grandparents will have Ryuu incharge, just as they wanted, Sister."
Arai liked this leverage and the ability to speak as he chose. "Ryuu, I'll go talk to Yuriko and make sure Terrence doesn't leave the school until you say so."

Keiko glared at Arai as he left. Then turned to Ryuu, "Damnit Ryuu, why did you have to choose him?"
"He's a big asset," Ryuu said flatly, not really wanting to continue the conversation.
"Did you forget that his family sent him here to get access to our family! Why are you giving it to them." Keiko's rage was building up at this point.
Ryuu patted her on the head, "Don't fret my dear sister. He wont betray us. Now if you'll excuse me I should go find Yukimi."
With that Ryuu left leaving Keiko even more peeved at her dear brother. "I wont let this continue. I wonder what your sweet Yukimi would think of this?"
