Like I said..Lucky..

I have yet to actually find one here..I mean, I saw so many cheap ones in Japan..but it's so hard to find any kind of sword or dagger here..and of course, I couldn't bring one across from Japan..

That's definately unfortunate....
Because we are Chinese, we went back for a visit one/two years back.
My brother brought his friend along and along the streets of Shanghai there were weapons stores! 3nodding
He brought a Katana and nunchucks (He's like 17 now). I myself was indeed tempted to by a metal walking stick with a blade concealed inside. (You know, self defence....Hurummph)
At customs he had to declare that he had it...he ept i...but i don't know what happened to it afterwards.

Really? I didn't see any in Shanghai.. yeah, Customs are very strict..they don't even allow Ginseng unless it's American Ginseng..which I find silly. They definitely don't allow 'weapons'. At my..uncle's (?) house..or rather, apartment, in BeiJing, there was a cool looking dagger sort of thing in every room.. And each wall was lined with bookshelves filled to the brim..If only they were in English.. blaugh

Customs is awesome. When we were in line waiting to get our passports checked they had this slideshow playing of all these things you wern't allowed to take in. Moast of them were weapons and they had the coolest stuff. It was awesome.

And THEN I got randomly checked for explosives. WHEE!

Yes..that slideshow..hehe..

My dad got checked last time. And at the baggage collection, when I was coming back from China, They had sniffer dogs! Cute little things.. I came back alone. It was fun. biggrin
