Okay, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how the combat ends. The Blue Scarab manages to knock in to Bigfoot for nine damage, but the team manages to take it down without spending any AP or MP.
Bellamin: 12/20 Life, 5 AP, 2 MP.
Ronin: 28/35 Life, 7 AP, 8 MP.
Gonzu: 12/15 Life, 8 AP, 4 MP.
Kitai: 20/20 Life, 6 AP, 6 MP.
Bigfoot: 13/30 Life, 3 AP, 3 MP.
Party pool: 8 AP, 8 MP.
And so you are left where you were before: a hovering torch near a hole in wall and you still unable to see the other side of the canyon.

Bigfoot spits on the corpse of one of the ghosts, "Stupid ghosts, you hurt me." Bigfoot then cleans his sword of any blood, guts, and gore, and puts it away.

Bellamin sheathed his blade. "Well, those blue scarabs have to have come into the room somehow... Mabye there's a secret passage, or a trap door?" The spellsword quietly walked over to the remainder of the insects, kneeling the ground, he searched for any signs of a trap door in the ancient stone floor.

Examining the ground very carefully, you notice some odd grooves in the floor near certain sections of wall. If you weren't looking for secret doors, you likely wouldn't even pay attention to them, as they blend into the patterns carved into the floor. These grooves, however, seem to be made to allow part of the wall to slide out and to the side.
Looking around for the trigger, you manage to trip it after some looking. You are able to watch as silently the portion of wall moves out then slides to the side, leaving a pitch black room before you.

Bellamin gazed into the black cavern that opened up. The eerie abyssal darkness sent shivers up his spine. He squeezed the hilt of his blade before pointing an open hand towards the room.
"Shall we go?" He asked, the chill that emanated from the dank room made his voice quiver.
He could not see far, expecially now that he has no torch. But the darkness seemed to push away the light, and he thoughed even with his torch, the dank cavernous hole would suppress the flame's guidance.

"good job Bellamin, good job" Ronin said as he looked into the darkness, showing no fear. "if this is where we must go, then i say we go" He waved his sword in the near by darkness, seeing if something would happen.

Gonzu peers into the darkness. "Well done Bellamin! Now then." He pushes Kitai and Bigfoot forward. "If you two would take point we can get going.

"Bigfoot like that idea." Bigfoot says, taking up the front of the party along with Kitai. Bigfoot pulls back out his b*****d sword as he moves inot the darkness of the next room.

Kitai steps into the darkness behind Bigfoot. "Good on ya mate!" She glares back at Gonzu, "You comin' yer lordliness?"

As you walk into the room, you immediately notice that your torches have trouble penetrating the darkness. They light up only out to about half the distance they normally do, and provide about half as much brightness to the area illuminated. The room is also very, very cold. Shivers run down your spines, try as you might to resist.
Finally reaching the back wall, you see a large sarcophagus with two smaller ones beside it. All three have their tops off and are empty... Finally, mounted on the back wall is a shelf, upon which rests a mace. Now that your torch is illuminating it the mace seems to emit a faint glow, though you saw nothing of it when you were at the front of the room.

"hmmm... maybe this mace has a spell on it to fight mummies or something.." ronin said as he looked at the glowing mace.

Kitai shoos the others away from the glowing mace. "Don't ye know anything? If yer in a dungeon and ye find anything that isn't immediately recognizable, and ye didn't have to fight anything to get it it's probably trapped, cursed, or alive." She shrugs. "It may very well be a good mace, but probably the second we touch it monsters will pop out of nowhere, or the floor will drop out, or it will sprout a spectral weilder and start beating the crud out of us." She taps Bigfoot, "Go poke it with yer sword, I wanna see what happens."

"But I am!" Bigfoot says, reaching out and grabbing the mace in the hand he was not already wielding a bastrad sword with.
