Karma smiled happily at his boss. Shots sounded great. "I would love to join, boss." The news of Kyrin suddenly disappearing made him worried though. Not so much for Jaydin or for Kyrin, herself, but more for the possibility that Karma would lose the opportunity to drink with his boss. After all, he had to make up for getting on boss's bad side this morning. Drinks could definitely bring him up in favor, especially if boss got drunk.

"She left?" It tweaked Jaydn that Kyrin had left after saying she would join him for a drink. Rude. A small frown curled the corner of Jaydn's mouth, his irritation at his good time being interrupted with concern for his cousin. It wasn't like Kyrin to abandon an idea without warning when she had already decided on it. Speaking to Miles, Jaydn's tone was not one to be taken lightly, "What do you mean, she's not coming back?" Something suspicious was happening, and apparently happening with the crossdresser, and Jaydn wasn't the least bit pleased with the development of it.

A waiteress came over at this moment with a tray carrying multiple shot glasses, a bottle of both vodka and whiskey, and a small plate of sliced lemons. Placing the items down on the table, she shot an infectious smile around at all the men there but faltered when catching Jaydn's withering look before hurrying back to work.

Taking the bottle of vodka, Jaydn commenced to fill up the glasses for whoever it was who was drinking with him, waiting for a response to his question.

Charles watched Karma sit down next to Miles and greeted his co worker with a nod. After taking another long drink from his beer, Charles opened his mouth to answer Karma’s question. Before he could do so though, Jaydn came and sat down as well. Charles nodded to his boss, took another drink from his glass, and listened with seeming interest to what Miles was saying. Charles had seen Nori go off to get Kyrin, and the look on Nori’s face had given away that something might not have been quite right. His eyes had followed the two to the door but once they disappeared outside and out of sight his concern had faltered slightly. Only after hearing the faint sound of breaking glass and a woman yelling through the dull roar that was the bar, did he not think that she would be returning. He couldn’t hear what it was that she had said or see if it was really Kyrin that had thrown the glass, because of the closed door blocking his vision, but he had the distinct idea that it may have something to do with Nori taking her outside and away from the game she had been enjoying with Miles.

At Jaydn’s question about drinking, Charles graciously declined. He was only good for a shot or two normally, but tonight didn’t seem like the type of night to be taking in straight alcohol. Shifting in his seat he noticed that Karma had agreed to the shots, and smiled, it was good to see the other man participating.

The subject of Kyrin was still floating about the table as the waitress had brought the shots, and Charles thought it his time to speak his knowledge, even though no question had been directed his way. ”Well Miss Kyrin, Charles said gently to Jaydn, ”Left with a rather distraught looking Mr. Blauvelt out the front. I think she may have broken something.”

Jamie ordered another round, quietly, from the silent male bartender. "I want to still be your friend. I want to be more. I love you, Ian. Really, it wasn't my idea to end what we had." He drank slowly, smiling at the bartender, then returning hi gaze to the polished wood tabletop. He refused to meet Ian's eyes. Without doing so, he pushed Ian's drink towards him, letting his fingers rest on the glass until they grazed Ian's.

Jaydn placed the bottle back on the table, taking in what Charles had said. Muttering darkly to himself, the mafia leader handed a shot glass absentmindly to Karma. "Hope it's his neck..." At this moment, Jaydn was having no patience with his cousin and even less with Nori, who seemed to have succeeded in taking away the one person who was guaranteed to entertain Jaydn.

Picking up his own glass, Jaydn looked at the liquid inside of it, rippling with the promise of carelessness and intoxication. Raising it in a toast, Jaydn locked eyes with Karma, his now only drinking partner. "Coyotes." Throwing the shot of vodka down his throat, Jaydn was a little disappointed though not surprised that it barely even gave him a buzz. I should go check up on her before she kills someone.

Putting the glass back on the table, rather lazily letting it thunk down, Jaydn stood, saying obviously relunctant, "Continue without me." He went to the door, becoming more irritable as he went. Walking out of the bar and into the night, Jaydn realized just how stifling the bar was compared to the cool refreshing air of the autumn season. Looking around once he was outside, it was easy enough for Jaydn to see that neither his cousin or the crossdresser were still within the vicinity. Jaydn gave a sigh, "Dammit."

Letting himself into one of the cars that brought the group to the bar, he told the driver to drive to the mansion, the place that Kyrin and Nori would most likely return.

Miles gave a slight smile at hearing Jaydn's mumblings and didn't know why. Charles had answered for him, since he was in mid-swallow, and almost choked when hearing the boy's name. So he was Blauvelt's son? Small world. Even more curious was how Charles managed to know these people's names when he, -Miles- did not... He supposed it was his friendly nature. Now he knew he'd have to ask him what else he knew later. Knowledge is power, after all.

He raised his glass to Jaydn rather nonchalantly,in slightly better mood now that he had finishd one and a half drinks. But as soon as Jaydn went to leave, he tried to supress a sigh. Was everyone going to leave at this rate? He glanced at the others at the table with a shrug. Now he definatly felt like he was wasting his time. He leaned on his elbow and continueddrinking idley.

Xavier’s dampened mood seemed to be turning better as he leaned in on the conversation that was being had regarding his favorite cousin. He had changed seats to sit next to Jaydn, knowing that his brother was too enraptured with conversation to notice his presence. He had listened to the whole conversation, not really knowing what to do. When his brother proposed a toast, Xay almost couldn’t resist laughing. That was totally weak. He thought. As Jaydn downed the shot and moved out of the bar in a seemingly angry way, a broad smile had found its way across Xavier’s face.

The shots that were sitting on the table now were within reach and Xavier gave an almost sadistic grin to his middle brother as he took one up and downed it quickly. Then putting the lemon to his lips, he laughed suddenly and took up another shot.
”I told you that you are screwed.” And without another look at Maddox, Xavier was up out of his seat. One his way past Miles, he gave the other man a smile, ”Tonight will be fun.” Next moving past Karma, he ruffled the older man’s hair; he didn’t stay long enough for Karma to react though. Xavier was on a mission.

Spotting Levi almost immediately, Xavier threw back the second shot and felt the liquid warm his throat. The smile that was on his face never left. ”V!” He called over the bodies of the people on the dance floor, not caring if he messed up the man’s flirting. He knew that Levi could near have his pick of the girls in the bar anyway. ”Jay left! Let’s drink! He next turned to Kyrin’s two men at the bar. They look.. Awfully close? Xay thought, raising his eyebrow. He recognized James immediately as the man that had ignored him in the kitchen and decided that it would be a fun start to the rest of the night to get him back for it. Making his way through the throng of people, he moved close to Ian and James. His mind raced, figuring out his plan on the fly. It was going to have to be good. Aha! He thought as he finally got to them.

Placing himself in between the two of them, he leaned in and kissed Ian firmly on the lips. He then pulled back, a good natured smile on his face. He looked at the pair, ”Isn’t it boring here all alone?” He said, as clearly as his English would allow. I hope that got to him. Xavier thought as he continued, it had really upset him before when James had ignored him so he really hoped that he would pull at least some reaction from him. ”Come drink with us at the table, nay?”

Maddox was momentarily relieved when Xavier repositioned himself beside Jaydn, figuring that if his younger brother was next to their older brother than it would no longer be his responsibility to take care of the high maintence teen. Taking a moment to pull out his cell phone and send a short text to someone, Maddox was debating over what he could do in the bar if not become drunk with the rest of the mafia. Maybe I'll play some pool.

This vacation from duty was short lived considering that Jaydn abruptly stood and left the bar. What was even worse, as Maddox was quick to notice, was that Jaydn had left a rather large amount of alcohol sitting right in front of Xavier. Seeing the look Xavier gave him, Maddox attempted to spring into action, throwing out an arm in hope that it would distract and maybe stop Xavier,
"Don't-" But it was too late, Xavier had already drank one shot and run off into the midst of other people with another glass. Dropping his arm, Maddox gave a sigh. Well, that worked for longer than usual. Now that there really was no point in trying to stop Xavier since there was usually no stopping him once he got started, Maddox seemed to relax visibly. Rising and moving to sit closer to Miles, Karma and Charles, Maddox decided to keep company with the older men. He hoped they would begin some sort of conversation, he already felt odd enough being the only one drinking just soda while the rest of them had 'real drinks'. Perhaps if they started talking than he wouldn't feel so out of the loop.

Levi perked up immediately when he heard Xavier. "Okay! Just lemme' get her number down and I'll meet you at the bar!" He barely caught the assault on Ian, and didn't immediately react, being as Levi had turned to get the punk girl's phone number. And with a kiss on the cheek and a promise to call the girl, he bounced nimbly and practically unnoticed through the crowd towards the bar. He ended up on the other side of Jamie, and smiled at him. "Hey there. You're one of Kyrin's, eh?" Might as well make friends while I'm here. He looks smart, or something, maybe he'll be useful. Well, that and he has spiffy eyes.

Jamie pulled away when Xavier pushed between the two of them. Does this kid have the compulsive need to molest everyone I become fond of? Is he jealous or something? He couldn't really call himself angry, annoyed was more the proper word. The second he had a moment to finally tell Ian what had been running through his mind, someone else pushed in. And now the neon kid was talking to him. He didn't have anything against the neon kid, yet, so Jamie figured he may as well be friendly. "Oh, yeah, I guess I am. I'm James, but everyone around here has taken to calling me Jamie, so I guess you can too, considering it looks we'll be housemates for awhile."

Levi perked up. "Jamie, then? I'm Levi Donnelly. Nice to meet you. Is that your boyfriend Xavier decided he wanted to kiss? You know, I've seen Xav kiss two boys in the last bit and no girls. Not that I really care, I've been mistaken for queer meself before, I'm not, for further reference, but it kinda' makes me wonder 'bout him. Not that you really would care, or rather I don't expect you to, unless he's decided to plant one on your boyfriend." Levi looked from Jamie to Xavier, "Are you stealing other people's boyrfriends now, Xav?" he teased, good-naturedly.

Ian was more than shocked at what Jamie had said. This whole time that they were together, he had felt that way? Ian wanted to shake his head in disbelief but Jamie's actions in these last few weeks made his words almost believable. In fact, it would explain a good amount of Jamie's behavior toward him. Ian felt his heart race, maybe....they could...be something more again. Ian wanted that more than anything, but what if, maybe, that was just the alcohol that made him needy for comfort and love. Ian opened his mouth to speak, "Jamie...Jamie...I...love...yo- to-' But before Ian could finish his sentence, he found his lips covered. A second later, he was staring into a boyish smiling face. Ian was flabbergasted. In shock and natural reflex, more than spite (that would come two seconds later), Ian backhanded Xavier's face hard. No words left Ian's mouth.

Xavier had only backed away a step to see the reaction that he would get from James. When he got none, he was honestly astounded. So they aren’t together? What the…? And then it upset him slightly more because he had only kissed the other man to get at James. Gah! Xavier’s eyes narrowed. When Levi wandered over, Xay perked up slightly, but then as Levi started conversing with James, the happiness left. Oh great, now they are gonna be all buddy buddy and I am gonna be left to drink alone. He sighed visibly. When he noticed that Levi began to question his sexuality outright Xavier’s eyes narrowed at his friend. Xavier wasn’t in any way gay or bisexual, he just found fun in his actions. Deciding to not care anymore, Xavier thought to walk away and grab another shot from the table, but at that moment he had been addressed by Levi. He took a minute to think over the question before answering long and drawn out,”They evidently aren’t together. That one…” He gestured to James, “Didn’t care that I kissed the other one-” Xavier was about to go on in the language that he knew well his friend couldn’t understand, and didn’t care if the other two could, when a hand made contact with his face.

Xavier’s hand went immediately to his right cheek, the one that had been struck, and anger flashed over his face. It took all of his will power not to knock Ian off his bar stool and break his nose. It had been the second time that Xay had been hit that day and it wasn’t fairing well in his book. Xavier didn’t think, in his twisted mind, that hitting someone was justice for playing around. Xavier couldn’t find himself to be in the wrong, no matter how many times he likely had been in his life. With distaste in his cloudy gray eyes, Xavier spoke low and in contempt,
“Stupid ******** a*****e.” It wasn’t that Xavier hated the man in front of him at that moment, it was just that the pain had spread across his face was irritating. That’s almost the same place Jay hit… And with nothing more to say to the group he went to go get drunk as he said he was going to, still hoping for company while drinking, though not caring if Ian joined at that moment. He might like him more after a few shots and a beer. Maybe.

Levi pouted at being ignored. It hadn't really occured to him that Xavier might have heard remarks directed at Jamie. In the young man's mindset, everything went exactly the way it had been intended, and when it didn't, the universe was out to get him. Which it now was. He made a face, and decided that Jamie and Jamie's friend were boring, and having told the girl he was going to drink with his friends, he figured he had nothing better to do than that. He once again slid nimbly through the crowd of people, and plopped lazily into a seat at the mafia's table. "'Ey there guys," he greeted amiably, much contrary to his current view that the world hated him. "Where'd everybody run away to?"

Jamie smiled at the familiarity of Ian's reaction. He took another long drink from his glass, and watched Levi and Xavier leave. As soon as they were gone, Jamie leaned close to Ian, to speak under the din of the crowd. "You what?" he asked with all sincerity, brushing a strand of thin, straight black hair from his face. If he had been right in what he heard, it had been years since he heard those words directed at him. No one else was anywhere near his thoughts then, selfishly, all he could think of was what looked like fufillment of a dream he had held since Ian had coldly brushed him away from his life. He wanted Ian to say those words again, he wanted to be right in what he thought he heard, he wanted to be loved again, and, selfishly, he cared about nothing and noone else, not even Ian. Ian, though Jamie didn't recognize it in himself, was just an outlet for the emotional investment that Jamie craved.

Ian watched as Xavier and the neon-blue haired kid took off to sit with the rest of their mafia members. He was still steaming about the fact that he and had been interrupted and by a kid's random kiss no less. He tried to tell himself that it didn't matter and quickly shot down another drink to quench the thirst of wanting to put another slap to the kid's other cheek. Ian took a big breath and faced Jamie again. Swallowing ,he slowly repeated what he had wanted to say before, "I still love you. I've always have. I'm just....afraid that...we'll get hurt again..."

"Oh we're going to get hurt again. We're always going to get hurt for something we do. Its inevitable. Its who we are. All I'm asking for is a little happiness beforehand," Jamie drank again, then met Ian's eyes with incredibly intensity. "You know why its going to hurt? How I know? Because I am so ridiculously in love with you that I can't stand the sight of you. Every time I try to get over you, you show up again in my life. And I hate you for it." He took a few deep breaths, still metting Ian's stare with level intensity. "I can't decide whether to kiss you or kill you right now."
